In attempt to sanitize and recover from The Great Canine Fecal Disaster of 2016, I was forced to move my supercar shelf out of the room to access the carpet. This meant taking all the cars off the shelf and stashing them somewhere for a day or two. This is the result.

Found a use for the Treadmill, give their little wheels a workout.

Some parts are still available only in red, like simple regular bush. All Madoca's red models using all of red assortment of these bushes, half-stud offset connectors, e t.c. So white seems to be almost new red, but still not a proper replacement.

Edit: typo

WOW!

In attempt to sanitize and recover from The Great Canine Fecal Disaster of 2016,

That's why I keep my cats out of my new LEGO room, it even has the apparently now required treadmill. However, my son was not that fortunate in keeping the cats out of his LEGO storage containers :cry_sad: .

Blakbird - do you keep buying parts, or will any of these get recycled? So many rare parts...

I mostly buy parts, but I sometimes recycle models when I run out of room which is happening more often lately. I think I took apart 3 cars this year.

I have very few parts - I'm a relatively new builder. I have the MINDTORMS 31313, the Education MINDSTORMS Expansion set, the 42043, the 42006 and some other random parts from older stuff. For this reason, my builds are mostly light grey, using the 13 5x11 flat panels from the Arocs as the main part of the body. I have a decent amount of black and white panels/beams, so I sometimes use those colours as well. Due to my parts limitation, I often have to build parts of the car in grey and parts in black.

After cleaning out the LEGO room as mentioned above, I had the opportunity to rearrange my cars when I put them back and arrange them by builder. This revealed several things. First, I have a lot of cars. Second, I have no space to back up and take a decent picture. Third, my iPad takes terrible pictures for which I apologize in advance, but I still thought is was worth sharing what's on the shelf.

Official cars:

The others are only one car each. Jeroen and Skyliner:

Pvdb, Steffan, and Jovel:

And finally, Sheepo's monsters don't fit on the regular shelves:

Blakbird do you have any idea how many #3 red connectors you have? I think you have one of the, if not the largest collection of them in the world :look::wink:

i have 20.....and an ebay shop just had 9 of them on sale for one pound each GBP, needless to say they were all bought up.

That's a bargain! They're usually around 4-5€ a piece on bricklink.

indeed...i was gonna buy them and hold for a rainy day or to resell them at a higher price...but i have 20 and nothing to do with them so didnt want to spend the money....kinda regret it now.

someone just got a heck of a bargin though!

this other guy also has 9 of Part #44: http://www.ebay.ie/i...psAAOSwMmBVxQuv

i took a picture of my rare Red parts bag, i have some 1x6 and 1x7 thin red liftarms in there as well :-)

Good question. I'm not sure. Let's check Rebrickable. If you own all the official Technic sets, you get:

8448 10
8070 6
8674 4
8068 2
8146 2
8682 1
Total 25

Now if I look at MOCs I have built, I get:

Mustang GT500 41
Porsche 997 21
Supercar Deluxe 16
Koenigsegg CCX 12
Concept Car 10
Ferrari 458 6
Alfa 4C 4
Madoca Supercar 4
Lipko V12 4
Zonda 4
Aventador 2
Bughatti EB110 2
Muscle Car 2
CVT Truck 2
Total 130

So altogether it looks like I have about 155 of them.

My guess: Madoca block: Kuipers' pony car

Kuipers block: Madoca's supercar :classic:

Correct! There are two models on one shelf from different builders, so I blocked the opposite one on each image.

By the way, you might notice that there is an empty spot above Pvdb's Koenigsegg One:1. I wonder what I should put there?

What about Sheepo's latest model? Most of its pieces are readily available, apart from the suspension springs and maybe the tires. :classic:

Most of its pieces are also available in white

I will probably make his Jeep MOC, but it doesn't go on my Supercar shelf. It goes on the off-roader shelf with the Defender and Hurricane.

I noticed you haven't built this Lamborghini yet (or you didn't take a picture of it):

https://rebrickable....trofeo-stradale

Also has the possibility to be built in white

That's an excellent candidate, thanks. Is there a topic for this MOC? I need to know more about it. Although I was kind of looking for a non-motorized model next.

My investigation into the number of #3 red connectors I have was kind of fascinating (to someone who likes numbers and data), so I decided to do the same thing with black friction pins. According to ReBrickable, I have 34305 of these. This is the pin with slot (2780) and does not count the old solid pin (4459). It also doesn't count MOCs which are not in ReBrickable, so I did some searching and found that I have another 7998 pins in such models, bringing the total to 42,303. I think I am safe in saying that I have more of this part than any other.

if anyone is interested, this guy has some Red #44 and Red #3 connectors for sale, i bought some of the #44:

http://www.ebay.ie/i...6-/222175537847

http://www.ebay.ie/i...6-/222161350060

i have bought from him before...legit, he sold me 12 of Part #32195b in Black for €1 each :-)

he had a few lots of Part # x873c01 for €4 each and it included 4 of Part # 57515 :-)

so i got all the legit parts i needed for my builds and i dumped all the fake parts.

and hey!...look what i just bought on ebay for €1.89 each :-)

So I was looking through 8653 Ferrari Enzo's parts list and I noticed a lot of the pieces were avaiable in blue...

With the exception of the pieces with a box arround them, this model should be able to be built in blue! (I might have missed one or two)

Blue may seem like a weird color for a Ferrari, but they do exist!

Excuse my horrible Mlcad skills, first time using it

I somehow messed up the hood, but you get the idea.

I downloaded the ldraw file from this thread: http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=48285 and made all the red colors blue, took me a while but I quite like it!

I would like to see it in blue!

The steering arm is available in blue though (appears in the old supercar sets) 32195b - substitute #2738:

https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=2738#T=S&C=7&O={"color":7}

The #4 connectors are almost not visible, so you could substitute them with black ones. Or substitute by 2 x of these:

http://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=44#T=S&C=7&O={"color":7}

Flex axles in blue are a nightmare, and in this case I don´t want to say substitue by pneumatic hoses  .. Rather use 12L and extend them by blue pins e.g.

What will you spend on blue parts only??

That's great news! But won't it interfer with the door opening mechanism?

You should give it a try, don`t know..

LvdH, don't forget the new panels in blue. They are quiet versatile to build with great curves and get proper shapes

By the way, you might notice that there is an empty spot above Pvdb's Koenigsegg One:1. I wonder what I should put there?

A McLaren F1 would looks good there

Also suggest...if you can't find blue flex hoses you could try blue rigid, pneumatic and ribbed hoses in Blue. Or use black parts.

The only real issue IMO is the cost of the long blue panels nesscary. I believe they are only available on 8461...not cheap!

Well, I was referring to the blue panels that come with 42045 set, (using the curved panel instead flex axles in the front wheels arches) but taking a close look to the Ferrari seems like they wouldn't fit/look well. Ignore me
