Posted March 25, 20168 yr Hi, when I did the "Fortify the Fortifications of the Fort" entry for Challenge II, I was struck by the thought that other uniforms than the Eslandolean green ones would look much better in that MOC. So, not linked to the challenge and not as a free-build, I have played around with the different teams we have in BoBS: As you can see, white and blue makes a fine contrast. ... red, white and black is working out fine too! Sea rats are colourful! Oh, sorry, this has turned into some sort of desaster... But I am sure that Captain Cookie and his gang are having fun! (The pirate on the ground is sleeping, if you were worried.) And here's how it started: Hey, this is the first MOC to feature all factions of BoBS - I apply for being frontpaged! ( larger pictures and a few more on flickr) C&C Welcome - Happy Easter!
March 25, 20168 yr Good way to work all the different factions into one build! Thanks for doing this. And I like that you've used the CMF zombie pirate torso for your pirate captain. I have had the same thought about using it that way; it makes a great old, tattered coat.
March 25, 20168 yr Good way to compare all the factions. Party at the Sea Rats fort. Happy Easter to you too.
March 25, 20168 yr Lovely spread of all the 4 factions' artillery units. Might I inquire as to the source of those unique headgear though?
March 25, 20168 yr Great idea to try out different factions - I really like what you did with the Sea Rats! I still like the Eslandian soldiers best though. Those custom hats are really neat!
March 25, 20168 yr Good idea to try out the various factions' soldiers here Capt. B, but I think I agree with Kai that Eslandola's are the coolest! The blues especially afford some nice contrast though, and those Sea Rats were hilarious and unexpected!
March 25, 20168 yr Very nice! As is fitting, the Oleanders are the best dressed, but the Eslandians are nice too.
March 25, 20168 yr These battlefield defenses look great. You should build four of these and put them on display. All four factions look good, and Captain Cookie's band gang crew looks like they're having fun. But anyone who can sleep through that must have been imbibing beforehand...
March 25, 20168 yr Imperial Old Guard shakos, Royal Horse Artillery helmets, where on earth do you find such parts? They all look great...but even as a loyal Corrie I still prefer the original Elsondolan green! You do deserve some kind of award for being the first person to include all four factions in one MOC, great work! Your next task, if you choose to accept it, is surely to get all four factions in the same MOC at the same time! Get your thinking cap on for a story that could make that work! I've cleaned up the torso so it isn't that zombie-ish any more. Looks great! On 3/25/2016 at 2:49 PM, dr_spock said: Good way to compare all the factions. Party at the Sea Rats fort. A guy called "Woody" does all these historic hats. Well, I have already disassembled the MOC... On 3/25/2016 at 9:00 PM, Fuzzy MacFuzz said: Imperial Old Guard shakos, Royal Horse Artillery helmets, where on earth do you find such parts? You're right, they are not in the same MOC, and for the frontpage you need to have one picture ideally... As to shakos and helmets see above: "Shapeways" is my source of these fine thingies. March 26, 20168 yr Yay for the publicity!! Yay for OL being first to be presented! Hehehe Hats are awesome and i would also like an experiment with full black tricorns.
March 26, 20168 yr I really like how you took the extra mile to do this without any Dubloons at the end of the road. Great results as well, I really like this as a comparison between the nations and their attitudes towards.. everything.

March 27, 20168 yr Good stuff, Captain! But where are those Eslandolans everybody is talking about? I see blue soldiers, red ones, crazy personal... and vegetation... Honestly, this is a pretty cool MOC, especially in the light of faction 'arching' building efforts. Not everything is DBs! Much appreciated
