The crew of the Novitius knew this was dangerous waters, and all hands were on the rails to watch for the jagged rocks which protruded from the sea.

It was the keen eye of the first mate which spotted her first, a tangle of planks and rope smashed up against the rocks.

With both a mind for treasure, and a heart for the fellow seamen potentially trapped in the wreck, a rowboat was lowered to the waters and sent to further investigate.

Though no signs of human life were spotted, modest goods and treasure were found on what was assessed to be the wreck of the LeGrande.

I quite like this build - it has a great feel about it (if that makes any sense! pirate_classic.gif ) The way the wreck sticks up on the rocks looks really good, and the net is a great touch that I think really adds to the scene.

My only suggestion would be to maybe use a bigger base plate (so the entire row boat is on the base), and cover the ocean in 1x1 trans clear/light blue plates - I think you could get a really good looking effect. Something I'm sure you already thought off though! (I'm guessing limited bricks?).

Anyway like I said, this build really appeals to me - great job!

While I must agree that the base for the whole build is a little bit to small, the presentation of the wreckage is great. The rocks are great work, but I'm wondering a bit how this part of the wreck managed to fit so well in-between them:D

Good job. The wreck is very convincing.

If you are blue base plate parts limited, you could try putting the build on matching blue paper or board. :classic:
