jerryyao Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 B1 Battle Driod in Lego version, based on the 1/6 scaled driod model in 30cm size produced by Sideshow. The Lego version is around 55cm high, and 1/4 scaled. Use the ballon parts as the head and fully studs removed techniques. The other highlights are the gun, the backpack, the flexible neck and the flexible antenna. 3 poses as the photoes presented. 1: Fully equiped with gun and backpack at the back; 2: Gun in hands as the guard or battle position; 3: Stand-by pose in the vehicles. Hope you like it! Yes, it is not a perfect version. Because the color, the hands, maybe the illegal building techinques, but it is a start as you all know. Forresto Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 The White's a bit strange but overall this is an awesome MOC. Didnt think I would ever see a B1 Battle Droid of any scale because of the general ridiculous amount of dislike the prequels get. Quote
Hobbythom Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 Great build! I really like the white as a colour for the battle droids. People keep coming up with great part usage of that balloon part. Quote
Meatcan Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 Great work overall, I love the accuracy of the gun. Quote
peedeejay Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 This is very cool. Love the part usage of the helmet/head. :) Quote
Junior Shark Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 (edited) Addressing the elephant in the room: it's white. But I guess that's cuz you wanted to use the white balloon pieces for the head, which definitely capture the shaping of the battle droid head. Your model is very impressive, but since I've mentally blocked most of the prequels from my mind (especially all the battle droid parts) I can't comment on the technical accuracy of this model. I don't mean to sound like a negative nancy, but don't expect too much support to come from EB members, who are primarily OT fans. Edited March 30, 2016 by Junior Shark Quote
Schneeds Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 The Venator gets tons of support. A good build is a good build, regardless of whether or not people like the subject matter, and he did an excellent job. Quote
jhaelego Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 I couldn't even tell it was white until someone mentioned it. I think this looks awesome. Some custom stickers on the head for eyes would look really nice I think. Spectactular job. Quote
Ellisss_ Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 This is fanatastic! I agree with jhaelego it definitely needs stickers, as it is not very recognisable. I like how the droid is white. Amazing gun! Quote
Only Sinner Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 Source material aside, this is a really well thought-out MOC. Nice tecnique and proportions are done throughout as well as some NPU. This is worthy of an Ideas plug. Quote
Cpt. Dan Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 This is a great build. That blaster is spot on, maybe my favorite part. Nice work! Quote
jerryyao Posted March 31, 2016 Author Posted March 31, 2016 Thanks for your comments. The reason of white color set is the head part, otherwise I would like it to be tan. Because I am not good at working on the sticker stuff, I didn't use it. I like the printed parts :) Quote
Smitty500 Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 This looks great! what made the light bulb flick on to give you the idea for this? the white looks like its a preliminary model for the movie. maybe you could've used the dark orange balloon slices and made a geonosian version of the droid, or be more obscure and make the space battle droids from Clone Wars.
