JaseTJ Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 (edited) They would maybe give him a new head mold, since it's very round and may not look good as a standard head. Except a normal head looks fine for him. He's a really just a skeleton, despite the style of animation. *Edit* apparently that picture doesn't want to work, despite the fact it shows up in the post editor. Just google Lego Jack Skellington and I believe it was the first image. I think it's highly likely. Toy Story is the most popular Pixar film; if Pixar gets any inclusion, it'll be with Buzz and Woody. Aaand yeah, no. I don't think I'd be comfortable saying Toy Story is the most popular Pixar film. I might lean Cars, but even then... Toy Story was the first Pixar film and was ground-breaking in the animation world. It's a classic. But it's not necessarily the most "popular." Suppose that Toy Story has never been a LEGO theme before, as a CMF series, I'd say recommend franchises that couldn't do a whole regular wave or building sets to join the CMF line. Mickey&Friends might be, if LEGO consider Clubhouse as a candidate for Duplo only. Toy Story 4 may not relate to Woody and his friends, so yeah, we probably won't be able recollect Woody from any future LEGO PIxar set, while Jack Sparrow might return in the future. Still, unused characters like Bo Peep would interest me much more. Disney Infinity line has many other populr Pixar characters (excluding those who can't be in, like Cars and Sully). I sure believe that it could be time for more Disney franchises to shine. Edited October 6, 2015 by Dorayaki Quote

If that fairly ensures a possible return for LEGO Toy Story, I'd remove them from my CMF wishlist.I might actually want a CMF Toy Story line. But considering that some of the toys don't fit in minifigures and LEGO would not choose human characters (Andy or Bonnie), that may not happen. Edited October 6, 2015 by Dorayaki Quote

Toy Story is the one everyone talks about. Quote
Oky Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 For once I gotta agree with LEGODalekbuster523. Cars may sell more toys, but there is a fair amount of people who don't like the movies, especially the sequel. There are some who don't like the Toy Story sequels either, but I don't know a single person who doesn't at least love the original. Therefore, I'd say it's the most popular. That said, I still think Toy Story shouldn't be included. There is not much they could do about Woody and Buzz that would make them desirable to people who already have them. Woody already had side printing and was about as accurate as he could be. Buzz could benefit from some side printing, especially on his arms, and maybe a fully closed helmet, but the version we got was fine in my opinion. I would love to get some of the supporting characters that we never got in the sets, but I don't think we will since they will probably focus on main characters in this CMF series. There is nothing that says that they HAVE to include them just because they're the most popular. There are plenty of other popular Pixar and Disney characters to choose from and as some have already said, the CMFs seem to be designed to give us figs that we would probably never get otherwise, so I wouldn't expect any figs from movies that we might still get sets from. Again, I'm hoping we will get TS4 sets which would allow us to also get Bo Peep and other characters we don't have yet. And yes, Jack Skellington would be awesome to get. I think a regular minifig head would work fine for him and it would be a shame if he had a molded head that you can't put a Santa hat on. Quote
Robert8 Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 They would maybe give him a new head mold, since it's very round and may not look good as a standard head. Nah... I don't think so A regular head works fine. And it would save them 1 new mould Quote
Brickity Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Holy Crap. I literally lost interest in LEGO several months ago (growing up sucks) but THIS, I WANT IT ALL. I hope they include classics only (or mostly). Heck, I'd even buy sets This is something I would love to look at everyday around my computer. Quote
Ed3n Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 I'm looking forward to this series, can't wait for some leaks soon. Anyway whilst regular head may work for some characters, I am very confident that most, if not all characters will have a moulded head which will be compatible with some Lego accessories. Just take a look at the Simpson minifigures for example. The moulded heads turn out quite well and is compatible with most lego parts, torso, accessories etc. This is one way of differentiating a unique figure or character to a normal Lego person or minifgure. Take Chima for example, they have a normal lego head with a moulded animal head over the lego head. The lego head part don't mix well with other lego part to create a normal minifigure, thus deems the lego head useless. This is probably why the wave didn't do so well as ninjago where the villains head are one moulded part. Quote
Ultron Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Nah... I don't think so A regular head works fine. And it would save them 1 new mould I think it could swing either way. I found these fan made ones on google (credit to them!) I think I still prefer that first one though, although he needs the long legs. Quote
Dorayaki Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 (edited) That version of Jack Skellington would be a neat addition. Would love to see Sally come together. But the timing would be better if CMF Disney is put to be the last CMF series of 2016 :p . There's an Ideas project based on Jack's house, but sadly it's pretty difficult to make it as similiar as the real one from the film. So Jack might still be an option for the CMF series. It would be a shame if he had a molded head that you can't put a Santa hat on. Abit offtopic, wonder if LEGO has ever considered to do new head molds with studs on the top? Or they just choose to keep the Simpsons look perfect without hats? Edited October 7, 2015 by Dorayaki Quote

The horror/monsters minifigures don't have to be released for Halloween CMF Series 4 included 3 monsters and it was released in april Edited October 7, 2015 by Robert8 Quote
8BrickMario Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 If Jack ever gets made, I'd expect a regular minifig head and the collar printed on the torso. However, his long frame means that he'd need to have long arms and legs, which would be very useful for Slender Man customs... Quote
x105Black Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Something like this with long arms & legs is what I would expect / be hopeful for. Quote
KCMatze Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Even if they do not give him the longer variants, these (both) look totally awesome...I would get several of these. Just love the movie!! Quote
Sven F Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 That Jack figure would be veeery popular. long legs or not. In fact I prefer the short ones. This Disney theme might not be all that bad after all. Quote
Aaron Gomez Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 I'm hoping for a Jack Skellington figure too. Hopefully with the new Scooby-Doo pumpkin piece. It would be nice if Santa's hat fit on him, though they wouldn't need to include it in the set (as it's now available at Build a Minifgs so people could get it fairly easily). Quote

Blitzismydog Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 A Jack Skellington minifig would probably finally be enough to get my wife interested in my hobby. I very much hope this happens. Quote
8BrickMario Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 Oh, boy. Don't get your hopes up. While Jack would definitely place in my favorite CMFs (especially with long limbs), there's a good chance he won't be in this series. While I'd hope for a diverse mix of Mickey & Friends, animated films, and the rest (including Jack), we have almost zero info so far. That should change! Quote
LegoFjotten Posted October 8, 2015 Posted October 8, 2015 Yeah, I think Jack Skellington is way too cool for Disney CMF unfortunately. My bet (and I hope I'm wrong) is that we will get pretty much only mainstream characters. I'll be surprised if we get a single somewhat obscure character. But again, hope I'm wrong... Quote

just2good Posted October 9, 2015 Author Posted October 9, 2015 Toy Story 4 got pushed back a year, now I think it's even more likely we'll get Buzz and Woody... Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 The incredibles I could see. Although I think they will stick to the most mainstream and popular characters. Likely they won't do too many (if any) from Pixar. What I'm hoping for, and what I genuinely think they may include, is Mulan. Mulan in normal dress with Mushu as an accessory! Or perhaps Mulan in soldier garb! This would be even more likely if the non-Disney CMF wave has the Terra Cotta soldier we've all been waiting for. She's iconic, popular, mainstream, and bound to be an army builder for anyone interested in Ancient Chinese Mocs. Another I think will show up is Stitch. Stitch and/or Lilo. Small legs, new head mold, CMF/Alien-conquest blaster or a new mold. Lilo would be awesome and might come with her stuffed green creature. Anyone think we'll see characters from objectively the best film ever produced after Alien and Blade Runner "Atlantis: the Lost Empire"? I could definitely see Kida or Milo. ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
