Alright sounds like a plan. Thanks for the input from you both!

What are you doing with the new head after you replace it?

I dunno...

If everyone wants to send me their spare Buzz heads, I'll make some kind of ridiculous MOC and we can all get a good laugh.

Just a thought.

...maybe this?

On Buzz: I think the wings are the same, but the dome (and possibly the armor) looks different. Smaller due to the minifig head rather than the modified head.

Uh oh. I surely hope the dome still fits the molded head, or all my plans will be for naught!

That's probably accurate.

Although in regards to Ursula, I do think it's strange that Lego seems to be using a black minifigure torso as the base (and then printing on that), rather than a lavender base torso. As is, you'll have black on the sides and top of the torso. Seems to be the only (-) on an otherwise perfect figure.

Sorta reminds me of this Lego Octupus piece as well.

Also I just noticed something, is Ariel's head tilted to the side? It looks like they elongated the neck slightly to achieve the head tilt. Or is it just Photoshop work for the packaging/marketing(like how Stitch is tilted)?

It's just artwork (and not simply Photoshopped, from a photo of the actual minifigures, but done using digital renders of them that allow for greater flexibility than actual figures). They do this all the time. There won't be anything different or unusual about the head / neck connection on the actual figure.

She might have seemed too naked with a lavender torso, especially since there's printing on it.

Indeed, the existing minifigure octopus legs are based on the animal piece.

Ariel's head will not tilt, it's just impossible CGI posing.

I see a lavender torso, the black on the shoulder seems be a part of the belly/boobs part

No, the torso is black. The lavender is printed on.

Dah, too bad

The torso and the belly/boobs part is the same piece? Not 2 pieces, just one? I thought I was seeing a lavender torso and the belly/boobs part on, like the belly/boobs part could be reuse for a pregnant woman in future City set

The belly/breasts section is only on the front, so the sides and back need the wrap around effect of the octopus body. That is why the torso is black with the lavender printing. Given the limitations of the minifigure, this is the best that we are probably going to get.

Thank you, now I'm seeing well what it'll look like :)

I think a lavender torso with black printing on the back would have looked better. But we take what we get.

I don't get what's so hot about Ursula anyway, it looks pretty bad and not like a minifig to me.. But then, anything without legs does not count as a proper minifig in my book (I don't like even the pyramid skirt blocks).

The only ones that I'm really hot about, now that novelty has worn off, are Stitch, Cheshire Cat, Aladdin for me, I'll probably also get Mickey/Minnie, because they are iconic. I'll get Donald/Daisy, Alice and Ariel for my wife.

Well, that would be your problem then......she's the best fig there in my opinion because she looks exactly like the character.

This still scheduled for May?

I have almost $50 on eBay Bucks that has to be spent in April, so I'm hoping to pre-order a case (2 sets for my sister-in-law and her kids, 1 set and leftovers for us) on eBay for ~$200.

Anyone else think Alice in the photo almost looks a bit overweight? She has a tiny face on a standard minifigure head and then the way her hair is it just gives her the appearance her head is big and a bit stretched.

According to the Toy Fairs, yes

Cool, thanks.

Yeah, most of them look a bit off. I'll like them regardless, but I'm hoping they look a bit better in person.
