Phineas, ferb, walle, new jack sparrow?

Please no Phineas and Ferb... (EDIT: Fun fact, in case you didn't know, LEGO was originally gonna release a Phineas and Ferb board game when they did the board games sets. Scrapped for some reason, but the instructions are online.)

They just released Wall-E as a set.

Jack Sparrow? They already did a theme with him.

I'm thinking they'll stick to the classic cartoons, Mickey and all those guys.

I'd love to get Scar & Simba, but sadly, that won't happen if they aren't accessories for other minifigures :hmpf_bad:

Gonna say, don't expect any of the Lion King characters or any animals. (That aren't Mickey, two feet, etc)

Meh, there's always a chance we'll get some sets for classic Disney, I guess.

We get it; no offense but you're being rather stubborn. People seem not to agree with you, there is proof that it won't happen [now], and it is not related to the topic of this thread. I'm all for wishful thinking but you're being very persistently argumentative (and I agree with Sci; two series got all the main cast that they want to make, some of them twice).

I'm not being argumentative; majority of the posts from me you mention aren't arguments but stating that I hope for The Simpsons series to continue alongside a Disney one. There's no definite proof of either anyway; if the Disney rumour does turn out to be true I think LEGO would be wise to have both Simpsons and Disney series going on at the same time. It would cost them more money but equally would they really want to lose out on the amount of money they likely get from the Simpsons minifigure series?

I would be very surprised if LEGO do a football series though. I don't know why they'd want to do a football one over more Simpsons; what is there that's that exciting about a football minifigure series? Nobody is crying out for minifigures of Ronaldo or Michael Owen; I think there's far more people who would rather a Moe Szyslak or Sideshow Bob minifigure. I can, however, see the potential in a Disney series because there's plenty of interesting characters they could do. The obvious one is Mickey but if Disney does happen, I hope they do Cruella De Vill, the Genie from Aladdin and Emperor Zurg.

Well don't expect a minifigure series for the Simpson's in a long time. I expect a mayor quimby fun pack in dimensions.

He's in the Simpsons world, and is the only character in the map that hasn't been made a minifigure.

Why him, though?

If you know fact info than please share it!

I think I already said what I know a couple pages back.

I guess Lego thinks that we need him more than other characters.

I just want his minifigure, basically. None of the Toy Story sets look that appealing to me even though I love the Toy Story trilogy.

Maybe The Sipmsons are migrating to LEGO Dimensions. New moulds could be produced and new characters could be introduced

I would be happy with that personally.

We need more Simpsons. The Disney series should be great but we don't need a football one. The Simpsons series has more potential.

Not really. I think the theme is pretty much done, at least with the CMF's. I could see them doing one more D2C and that's it.

Disagree completely. There's loads of Simpsons characters they haven't yet done that are quite important supporting characters of the show.

There's loads of lots of characters people wanna see, but Lego has no obligation to give us every single character. If I had my way Lego would make an entire orchestra cmf series, but I'm not griping that they haven't. The Simpson series didn't see well at all around here. It was too targeted to a small demographic. The Disney series will appeal to children as well adults and should sell like water in the desert. I know some folks loved the Simpson series, but it's time to move on.

Maybe the german team series is german exclusive like the great Britain one in 2012 so we could have disney, simpsons and series 15 next year maybe?

It seems to be an exclusive, a neat promo item for fans in Germany only. It'll be a pain for completionists to get their hands on, but it doesn't really bother me as I get a few characters a series.

First your second point; it's German team only and only available there, they aren't producing as many as for most series and only releasing it in a place where lots of people will like them, even non AFOL fans of the team.

As for the first point I quoted, think about it this way:

If they release Disney series in January, and it can be the only CMF series on shelves for several months, they'll probably sell out. If the Simpsons series is released in May, neither series is sold out because the average buyer - non afol who is at a store and wants a minifig - will only buy a few, not all the ones available. If 95% of the buyers will buy the same amount of figs regardless of how many different ones are made, then it makes more sense to not make too many series in too few months

Agreed. At least one major chain retailer where I live didn't even stock Simpsons series 2, and they've carried every other CMF series. I remember that they had a huge surplus of heavily discounted Simpsons series 1 minifigs, which probably explains it.

Assuming this Disney CMF series is legit, it's easy to see the Simpsons CMF as a proof-of-concept/dry run for Disney CMF: molded heads on standard minifigure bodies, anthropomorphic minifig animals, etc. And that also makes me think we're probably in for the classic cartoon characters in the first wave -- Donald, Mickey, Goofy, etc.

Where I live there are both Simpsons 1 and 2 still on the shelves (S12 and S 13 sold like hotcakes). Not suprise they want to try something different and Disney is very versatile.

I'm sure there'll be something for pirates, castle, city and space fans in the series.

Simpsons: SS1 was available on the Lego website through Dec. 2014, alongside the later standard CMF series. SS2 seems to have been overproduced/overstocked in much of the US, as most non-FOL fans would have stopped after getting the core family. just2good just did a Dimensions figures video that includes Homer, so it is plausible that future Simpsons figures might come through Dimensions.

Series 15: Consider Series 13 came quickly on the heels of Series 12, so Series 14 might have a protracted run and Series 15 could be available sooner than expected.

Back on topic: I don't expect this series until spring, probably May. Spring is actually the best time to go to Disney World (Downtown Disney Lego Store!), as the weather is better and it is less crowded. I live in Florida, and a friend of mine did some art production work on at least one of the rides.

I expect the core characters: Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, Daisy, & Pluto (Scooby's size makes it plausible he could be in his own bag). I'd also like to see Pete, Clarabelle, Prof. Von Drake, Mortimer, Chip, and Dale, as they all make appearances on the Clubhouse show. That would leave four slots. Scrooge McDuck, Huey, Dewey, and Louie might round out the core Disney team.
