It is cool to see all the media attention that this is getting but it does worry me a little bit. I am afraid we might have a repeat of what happened with the 21110 Research Institue when the media started reporting about it. It sold out almost immediately and then you had a bunch of a**hats selling them for crazy prices on the aftermarket. With this being Disney I have a feeling that the more attention this gets the harder these will be to find once they eventually release.

The classic cartoon characters look a little goofy (no-pun intended); it has always been difficult for Disney to replicate the 2D animated figures into 3D real life forms... Fortunately while they don't look quite like the animated version they look spot on with the costumes used in Disney Parks:

This might be the first minifigure wave I will want and try to "catch them all" however I fear availability will be a big time issue with the hype they are receiving.

So, given LEGO's history with minifig series... if Simpsons got a second series, Disney can too, right? So this is the thread for your wishlists of minifigures you expect or want to exist if we were to see another eighteen minifigs in 2017.

RULES

-Use up 18 slots, or make another 18 after if you expect or want to predict minifigs for a third Disney series.

-Make your guesses/wishes in the realm of possibility. Is the character from a property LEGO would(n't) touch? Does it sort of or mostly go with the formula present in this year's Disney Collectable Minifigures series?

-Have fun!

My "wishlist", in no particular order:

1. Dipper Pines - with Journal 3 and page tile inside with Bill on it (Gravity Falls)

2. Perry the Platypus - with grappling hook (Phineas and Ferb)

3. Belle - with book (Beauty and the Beast)

4. Beast - with rose (Beauty and the Beast)

5. Cinderella (Cinderella)

6. Jack Skellington (The Nightmare Before Christmas)

7. Goofy - with Pluto

8. Scrooge McDuck

9. Lilo (Lilo and Stitch)

10. Timon (The Lion King)

11. Rafiki - with staff (The Lion King)

12. Mulan (Mulan)

13. Rapunzel (Tangled)

14. Elsa - with "ice" trans-white fire piece (Frozen)

15. Sorceror's Apprentice Mickey - with broom (Fantasia)

16. Baymax (Big Hero 6)

17. Jafar - with staff (Aladdin)

18. Ralph (Wreck-It Ralph)

Begin!

Id say they've done really good with the animated characters with moulded heads. They don't look out of proportion at all (like the Simpsons) and in general, they all look quite decent, especially Maleficent and Ursula!

1. Scrooge McDuck, my number 1 priority.

2. Goofy (I think this is a guaranteed)

3. Edna Mode-- another personal love, not likely but still possible since we've seen some Incredibles.

4. Frozone, Elastigirl, or Dash-- really more likely than Edna but I'd rather her

5. Mulan-- my favorite princess and relatively likely

6. Carl Frederickson (I'd also like to see Ellie but I don't think it likely)

7. Russell

8. Winnie the Pooh-- iconic, easy to do, pretty likely

9. Tigger-- they already made the tail piece for the regular minifigure series

10. Hiro

11. Sorceror's Apprentice Mickey, gotta steal that one from your list

12. Mary Poppins-- I don't see this as very likely but more possible than my addendum stuff at the end of this post

13. Cruella De Vil

14. Mad Hatter

15. Any Inside Out emotion.

16. Belle

17. Lilo

18. Oswald (not very likely but possible)

Ones I think likely but aren't super high priority for me--

Jack Skellington (they merch him a lot)

Moana, for movie tie-in

Woody, similar design to the one from a few years back

Pinocchio

Mowgli, considering there's a remake coming. Probably original cartoon design though

Jasmine

Snow White or Evil Queen

Merida

Queen of Hearts

Ones I'd love but I don't see happening

KUZCO, KRONK, YZMA

Ellie

Long John Silver from Treasure Planet

Chef Skinner

Captain Hook with an actually drawn nose, since this one looks really nothing like one of my favorite characters

Judge Claude Frollo

Gaston

Cory Baxter

I believe there's already a Disney minifigures wish list topic, people have already put their series 2 guesses there. I don't think this topic is necessary.

Question on Buzz. Will his wings work? Like can I push them in and out?

If it is the same mould as the previous version (which it looks like it is) then no, they are fixed like that.

The wings are separate pieces, easily removed to simulate being retracted. But no, they don't actually retract.

Sadness. :( Takes all the fun out of him. What about his head? Is the visor operable or is it one big piece? I know people want to replace the head so I assume that comes off somehow.

It appears to be the same visor as before, in which case it's a half-visor/helmet - like his helmet is open halfway. It, too, is removable.

This minifigure appears to be identical to the original Buzz Lightyear minifigures from 2010, except in a) printing, and b) having a "standard" minifigure head instead of a custom mold. The original figure, which had a couple different print variations already, came in seven parts:

- torso assembly - a standard LEGO minifigure torso, printed to look like Buzz

- hips / legs assembly - standard LEGO minifigure hips & legs, printed to look like Buzz

- armor - a custom, character-specific mold; fits over the neck post (like a Castle / Pirates cuirass, etc.), and has sideways holes in back for wings

- head - the only part that uses a totally different mold between this figure and the original(s), as far as I can tell.

- helmet / visor - a custom mold, like the peel from an orange sliced into fourths; has two pins which press down into the armor

- wings (2x) - two identical wings, which connect sideways into the armor with standard LEGO pins.

CM4Sci, will you keep changing your avatar whenever something new happens. I have only been active for a couple of months, and I have seen you go through all kinds of avatars. :P
