What specifically do you need from it? I could find it out for you. :look:

I tried to PM you, but couldn't. Anyways, I just wanted the projected modular building retirement dates. I believe it's one every December or so. I know this is all not Disney, but I knew the picture was in this thread. Thanks Sci.

Talked to one of my friends that works at my local lego store. He said that he's seen the pics of them being spotted in the UK and said the some stores in southern US like in Texas and Alabama should have them as soon as next week, and Northern US stores like my local one will have them more towards May 1st or late April. My local Legoland said that they will have them May 1st and will sell them individually or by the box!

Just thought I would let you guys know!

So they are out in the wild, but no pics of the back of Donald/Daisy yet?

Also what's gonna be the easiest way to get a full set of these? I don't wanna have to scavenge through 100s of stores like I did with series 15.

If you have enough money, buy a box and return the ones you don't want, that's my plan. You'll probably have to be early to the store or know an employee to do that though. Also, I think some eBay sellers do "full sets" but you'll probably pay extra.

I won't be doing a full set this go around. Some of these I just don't care for. I'm getting Maleficent, Stich, Buzz, Alien, Hook, Donald, Ursla, Cheshire Cat, Alice and Alladin. I may get Minnie although maybe not. I might get the rest later on but these are the ones I want the most.

I wonder how well these will sell. Cmf's seem to be a rare exception where licensed figs might not do as well as generic ones. I am going by the Simpsons, and I am sure these will do better, but i still have a feeling we'll be seing Disney packs on shelves long after they are gone.

There are no figures i would think anyone would want multiples of, not that many unique and versatile parts, and even in this topic, not many of you expressed a wish to get them all.

But what do I know, I thought the same about the mosters and they seem to have done alright.

The only army builder here is the Green Alien from Pizza Planet. The Simpsons series didn't have any.

About the new accessories, both Simpsons and Disney are disappointing

Almost all the characters in Simpons series had 2x2 printed tiles, and there are not new accessories at all in the Disney series

It's really what you want. IMO Every minifigure can be good for armybuild if you are creative enough. In my opinion Buzz can be used for space, Maleficient pieces can be used to make new race for castle/space, same with genie. And don't forget ARMY OF STITCHS ( I hope they will make Liroy and Liloc too!)

I suspect you're right for AFOLs but less so for others. I reckon these will be popular among KFOLs, (not LEGO-specific) collectors of Disney paraphernalia, and the general public (e.g. grandparents impulse purchasing these for their grandchildren). My guess is that AFOLs make up a fairly small percentage of CMF buyers so the fact that there are few army builders, no new accessories and not much desire to collect them all won't make much difference. Overall, they'll probably sell better than regular CMFs.

I wonder if they might alternate between Disney and Simpsons?

Simpsons series 3 could be next year with Disney series 2 following in 2018.

Sure, i army built spooky girl, but it's not exactly something you expect many people to do.

I might be underestimating Disney's popularity, but it seems very linear. A certain movie is extremely popular for a while until it isn't, and then it comes down to either waiting for a sequel to resurrect it or wait for it to mature a couple of generations for nostalgia value. Judging by the characters chosen, there seems to be a lot of mid-80's to mid 90's kids targeted here which basically means AFOLS

I think it's to be expected. The reality is all of these minifigures end up getting new molds, they just happen to be head/hair molds and so accessories are the thing that gets left out. At least with the new Disney molds they're actually reusable whereas the Simpsons heads will never work for anything else.

It's an interesting lineup of characters, but I can see the logic behind the choices. Many of these characters, while sporting classic designs, have either a sequel/reboot/remake that's either already come out or is going to come out. Then there's Peter Pan, Hook and the Mickey Mouse clubhouse. I'm assuming the respective TV shows that feature them are the primary reasons they ended up in the first wave (Or in the case of Mickey the reason why the three with him got included as he probably would have been included regardless).

I think these are going to sell really well. They're cute, recognisable and should be very popular with kids considering it's a mixture of two things kids really like (Disney and Lego).

I'm planning on getting a Stitch (just because I love that character), 2 Aladdins for the headpiece (I'm lacking on that skin tone and want to make a Cisco Ramon figure from The Flash), Genie, and maybe Peter Pan. I'm actually glad I don't want too many of these, so I can save up money for a new modular building.

I hope the sets sell well so that we could get an 'Experiment 626' variant of Stitch with four arms, and maybe we could even get Nick and Judy from Zootopia/Zootropolis in future.

Definitely underestimating Disney, I think! Those 80's and 90's kids have by now become adults or are almost adults, which means they'll be passing on their favourite Disney movies to their kids.

Also, just look at Disney merchandise. I was playing with my 6 year old cousin the other day, and although she's madly obsessed with Frozen, she's into all the classics too. We played with some old jigsaws featuring the classic Disney princesses and she said Snow White was her favourite - Snow White being introduced as a Disney character from 1937. She also was able to tell me all about Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Pluto etc.

Kids know Disney characters, new and old. They're everywhere!

Nope, I will Army Build Maleficent for the elmets and using them with Nexo Knights monsters, and the Genie.

I'm still shocked that no one has posted more detailed pictures of these yet. It would be nice to see what all of them look like from different angles, along with knowing if there were any alternate faces.

If someone has posted these and I just haven't seen them then please ignore my post.

Those tails look great, thanks for the link! I'm not going to get either one of the ducks, but it's great that LEGO went to the effort of creating that piece for them. It really completes the figures.
