Watch them be $4.50, that would just be messed up of Lego to do.

So, the whole collection would be $81

Damn....

At this rate, they will kill this theme in a couple of years

At this rate, Minifigs in 2030 (If thy still exist) will be $10 each.

That´s a world I don´t want to live in.

I can see it now. Soon: "9.00" for a minifigure... and the children are still clamouring for more!

Um, when were they $2? I don't remember that. But let's just hope they stay an even $4. It's not right for them to charge more just because of the popularity of Disney.

If I´m not wrong, Series one and two were $2.00, It´s listed on Brickset

I thought they had gone in .50 increments before? A couple series were 2.50 and a couple were 3.50? Or maybe I'm remembering things wrong.

I'm pretty sure it went:

Series 1 and 2: $1.99

Series 3-7, Team GB, Series 8-12, The LEGO Movie: $2.99

The Simpsons Series 1 and 2, Series 13-15: $3.99

Had to do some research.

Adults think of Disney classics, but honestly I'm not so sure kids see it that way. The Disney that kids are growing up with now is not the Disney I grew up with. While I prefer animated Disney classics for this CMF I'm not so sure that's what we'll get.

You don't have young kids.

My daughter makes no distinction at all between Snow White, Elsa or Star Wars Rebels. All are Disney as far as she is concerned. Only adults make such distinctions.

As far as which minifigs get molded heads and which get the standard round, I would suggest that looking to in-park characters will be a great way to figure out which get what. Anything where the in-park is a face character getting a round, and anything where the in-park wears a helmet-head getting a molded head. These guides are the same brand wide, even when the venue isn't actually a part of the Disney Corporation, such as the Cruise Line or Disney on Ice. For example, The Seven Dwarves have head helmets in park, on Ice and on the ships, but Maleficent and Snow White are always face characters.

By that logic, Hook gets a mold and Tink and Pan get round heads, even though they are all from the same film.

This comes whit the note :

"...En mai, effet nostalgie garanti avec une nouvelle série sous licence qui ravira les petits et grands..."

(In May, nostalgia effect guaranteed with a new set under license that will delight young and old ...)

Yeah, not paying $5 for one Minifigure. I only forked over $4 for the TFA C-3PO because of the printing. No way will I buy all the Disney CMFs.

Haha, unless of course I do. :sceptic: Lego always has their ways of getting to people. Or more specifically, peoples' wallets.

Right. I skipped series 1 of the simpsons in a way of a protest for that 1 doll increase, but after seeing the regular series after simpsons series 1 i gave in *sighs* But 5 is to much.

Delight young and old? I think this could mean we are getting both classic movies/series as new movies/series.

Btw, about the classic series, I think the chances for ducktales and the rescue rangers are still pretty big, especially since they both get rebooted in some way (if the project hasn't been canceled at least), for the gummi bears or talespin or something like that the chances are really small, they aren't popular anymore and won't get a reboot anytime soon, however we can get some characters from talespin in their junglebook appearance.

Ooh, the hype is increased! I am really anxious to see who makes the cut, price or no. It'll be interesting to see who they decide are the right minifigures for the market.

I really can´t believe that CMF´s have gone from $2 to now being $5 (possibly)

Lets hope not.

I would love it they did do duck tales, rescue rangers. But my favorite disney cartoon is the gummy bears. I know it's not likely, but one can dream right

Please no ultra rare figure again.

THIS

One time was bad enough

I mean, I got two Mr. Golds two weeks apart at the same ToysRUs... But yeah, please no special minifigures this time. It's a special series by itself, no need for a minfigure that will only stress out searchers and crush collectors when they can't get one.

You didn't really read my post. I was literally talking about how adults make the distinction (As in it's the adults who see Disney as it's classics and not it's modern successes), but children do not. To any child Disney is Disney, it's adults who create these distinctions of classic, renaissance, etc. Disney is made up of old and new simultaneously and often they mesh seamlessly as they are quite timeless.

The Disney I grew up with is very different from what it is now. I don't think it's better nor do I think it's worse. When I was growing up it was a focus on the older movies and continuing their stories (I lived through the era of DTV sequels), this era is remakes and re-imaginings.The point of my post was that Disney will probably choose whatever is popular now or whatever franchise they expect to be popular. So I would expect that whatever Disney is currently pushing, whether old or new, is likely what will appear in this series.

Peter Pan for instance makes loads of sense when you consider they have a popular television show on currently, plus Tinkerbell spin-offs and a live action re-imagining in the works. By that logic I think it's possible that we'll see some characters from the live action remakes appear too.
