Clone OPatra Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 That Kubrik advertisement posted above has a Mike that basically has mini figure proportions. I wouldn't call it impossible. All LEGO would really need is a part to go over the torso for his rounded head/face. It might not look exactly like the character, but minifigures never do. Quote
Dorayaki Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 Compared with the Kubrick version (which don't consider characters' comparative scale), I think Mikey would be a short-legged figure with sphere head mold, and Sulley's size would be between Jun-Chi and Hagrid. Baymax also fits in an original bigger action figure.... and I rather say that it's another recent Disney franchise LEGO shouldn't have missed. The broom is hardly qualified as a member of minifigures. As for Fantasia Mickey, it'd be a choice for the second series since the retro version usually goes first. Yen Sid is an option, though, regardless of that CMF in-house version. Quote
Robert8 Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 Yen Sid was supposed to be Walt Disney himself (Yen Sid is Disney spelled backwards). So,I think there is a chance to see him as a minifigure Quote

So,I think there is a chance to see him as a minifigure I think it would be cool, but he would look too much like the series 12 Wizard. In fact, I think Lego was based of Yen Sid to make the Wizard! just2good Posted November 20, 2015 Author Posted November 20, 2015 I'm almost confident Mike will be in here. Quote
Robert8 Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 I'm almost confident Mike will be in here. And I'm almost confident he will look awkward as a LEGO minifigure Quote
deskp Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 And I'm almost confident he will look awkward as a LEGO minifigure He'll look ok if he is made like the angry birds figures. Quote
CM4Sci Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 He'll look ok if he is made like the angry birds figures. Yeah, and whoever said Slimer's arms will be reused is probably right. Still, a 2 piece minifigure? I'd expect at least a blue hard hat and maybe one of those files for the doors. Quote
Robert8 Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 He'll look ok if he is made like the angry birds figures. I wonder how far they are willing to go to make these look accurate to the characters Mike would look odd with regular LEGO legs Quote
just2good Posted November 20, 2015 Author Posted November 20, 2015 Nah, I'm thinking a head to go over a torso, like Spongebob. Still, a 2 piece minifigure? I'd expect at least a blue hard hat and maybe one of those files for the doors. Well, of course he'd have an accessory. I don't think he'll be two pieces, but Maggie was (the one from 2015 was just three pieces with SLH!) Quote

Dorayaki Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 I'd just imagine that Mikey would look like the Kubrick version with short legs. Since a Monster sequel isn't announced yet, his inclusion is neutral. However, if going into the next choice from that franchise, Boo or Celia would be more suitable than Mikey. Quote
just2good Posted November 20, 2015 Author Posted November 20, 2015 Nah, I wish I knew something about this series but I only know what y'all know. Quote
Robert8 Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 Nah, I'm thinking a head to go over a torso, like Spongebob. Mmmm.... Then I don't have high expectations about him... Quote
bricksfan Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 Sulley could be an awesome figure. Torso and legs with purple spots and new mold for the head Quote
Falconfan1414 Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 Would it be similar to the Bigfoot we got this year Quote
gedren_y Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 If they do Mike, plausible, I think he should be done like Mrs. Puff. Quote
just2good Posted November 20, 2015 Author Posted November 20, 2015 I see no chance in Sulley unless he's a big fig. Quote
x105Black Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 I see no chance in Sulley unless he's a big fig. I don't see why not. He's not that much bigger. Would it be similar to the Bigfoot we got this year That's how I'd see him done. Yen Sid is an option, though, regardless of that CMF in-house version. I'd love to see a Yen Sid minifigure. Quote

Emmi Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 Will there be a Disney (Pixar) D2C set then? I mean it could be the same as with the Simpsons line from the last two years - minifigures and D2C set? Quote
Blondie-Wan Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 Will there be a Disney (Pixar) D2C set then? I mean it could be the same as with the Simpsons line from the last two years - minifigures and D2C set? Ooh, that's a fantastic idea. I doubt that's what's happening, but it would be awesome. The obvious thing would be Cinderella's castle. After that... Andy's room? Gusteau's restaurant? The Prince / Beast's castle? The Monsters, Inc. factory floor? Quote
Emmi Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 The Monsters, Inc. factory floor? My gosh, I'd love a set of The Monsters, Inc. factory floor :) Quote
CM4Sci Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 There is a Minifigures D2C for next year but I dunno what it is. Quote
Emmi Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 There is a Minifigures D2C for next year but I dunno what it is. Wait, what exactly do you mean with Minifigures D2C??? A minifigure scaled Disney? D2C set or Disney collectible minifigures - but that has already been "confirmed"??? Quote
