Robert8 Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 Could the S13 Paleontologist hairpiece be reused for Jane? That way, Jane could be a cost saver Quote
Dorayaki Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 (edited) I vehemently disagree. We need less minidolls and more minifigures. #18 on that list conveys my emotions if this is real... Disgust. Well when you say "less", it has to be that you either cancel the existed minidoll themes or change them into minifigures. If you don't mean either one, it's not like an opinion.I think minidolls would be a long stay. How LEGO ultilize them in the longterm future is the real issue. To me, it feels like that they neither take it to the next level (by doing more minidoll themes, promoting minidoll-themed characters), nor just simply give it up. Anyway, I love every character from that list and I could afford the whole series. It's just that the list lacks balance of franchises and doesn't look real. Edited December 9, 2015 by Dorayaki Quote
MAB Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 I vehemently disagree. We need less minidolls and more minifigures. No, we need more minidolls and more minifigures. Minidolls are very popular among certain groups of young girls (and some young boys) in a way minifigures are not. And some adults like them too. Quote
x105Black Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 cancel the existed themes featuring minidolls or change them to minifigures. I'd prefer that, personally. I doubt it will happen, but that's my preference. At the very least, I'd like to keep them where they are and keep them from advancing into other themes. But I'd also like to see many characters that have only been done as minidolls appear as minifigures to be more compatible with other LEGO themes. But that's a topic for another discussion, and I will take my opinions there. For now, I'm just disappointed that we aren't getting Belle, Beast, Sulley, or any of the most iconic of princesses, like Cinderella, Aurora, Snow White, and such. They really should be made into minifigures. So, I am hoping that this list is fake. I have limited interest in the speculated list. If it is true, I hope for a much better list next time. Quote
Pedilego Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 (edited) What this list tells me, if real, is that this is a line that will continue for a long, long time. They're including some classic figures (Peter Pan), some filler figures (less popular Disney characters like Tarzan), and a full suite of current figures (Inside Out). You sell the hot new characters to kids, rope in the adults with the classics, and save a lot of the hot-ticket figs for future waves with the less popular ones. If you run through all the popular ones now then the future waves won't sell. In that regard, this list makes perfect sense to me. Edited December 9, 2015 by Pedilego Quote
8BrickMario Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 I think the biggest red flags here are the lack of Goofy and the inclusion of B-list characters Tarzan and Jane. I'd expect to see some more classic villains and princesses before Tarzan and Jane. Heck, The Jungle Book probably would come before them. Quote

Dorayaki Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 (edited) What this list tells me, if real, is that this is a line that will continue for a long, long time. If so, I think it's still unnecessary to include all IO emotions at once. Unless it's LEGO's strategy and we'll see the same situation in the next CMF Disney series (ex, all Incredibles in the next series). And overall, it's nice to see more and more LEGO Disney, but the fact LEGO don't add more annual amount of CMF series is the current issue. That means Disney would occupy a big proportion of future CMF releases. For now, I'm just disappointed that we aren't getting Belle, Beast, Sulley, or any of the most iconic of princesses, like Cinderella, Aurora, Snow White, and such. Pedilego Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 I Unless it's LEGO's strategy and we'll see the same situation in the next CMF Disney series (ex, all Incredibles in the next series). I think that's the case. Kids move on quickly. Capitalize while it's hot. Make them make their parents buy as many "booster packs" as possible to "collect them all". Sound familiar? The exception would be anytime there's an actual line of sets for the movie ie Toy Story. Quote
BlockLogo Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 I have no opinion about the accuracy of the list, but why is the inclusion of the Inside Out characters a red flag? It's still the most current Disney Pixar movie and very popular. Frozen came out in 2013 and we're still getting new sets. Also, in 2 CMF series and 2 sets of the Simpsons, there have been some pretty major characters missing, so I don't see why any particular character (other that Mickey, probably) missing from this list would make it less believable. I have no idea if this is legit or not, but that's exactly how I imagine LEGO will divvy up the characters. Use the only other licensed CMF line, The Simpsons, for reference: - One complete set of characters (Simpsons family : Inside Out emotions) - Pairs of characters that may or may not necessarily be well-known (Patty & Selma, Radioactive Man & Fallout Boy : Tarzan & Jane, Peter Pan & Hook) - Must have favorite single characters (Ned Flanders, Chief Wiggum : Donald Duck, Pluto) - Lots of A-list characters left out for future sets (Barney, Principal Skinner, Moe : Daisy, Goofy, etc.) Doesn't prove anything. But if it's a fake, it's a well-thought out fake. Quote
rodiziorobs Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 The list sounds plausible to me, for the same reasons BrickSantorum and Pedilego cited above. I don't know that I would buy any of them, but I can see this being the actual list. Quote
Ultron Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 Does anyone else find it weird that this list says we're getting 3 Aladdin characters and 3 original Mickey & friends? 3 seems like a strange number to me...obviously it's not much to go off of, but Lego usually does themed things in pairs for the other CMF series. I would think if they're going to go all out with Aladdin, they'd at least put in Jasmine. The list suggests Mulan so clearly princesses aren't off the table. Quote
Robert8 Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 ^There were 3 Horror themed minifigures in CMF S4: Crazy Scientist, Monster and Werewolf Quote

LEGODalekbuster523 Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 I just wish there was a Doctor Who series though. There's a rumour going round that there will be a Doctor Who CMF series next year. Not been confirmed yet though. Quote

dimaks13 Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 (edited) The chance of being this list false is low, because bau-ukraine hasn't posted any fakes before. Edited December 9, 2015 by dimaks13 Quote
LuketheLEGOgeek Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 How do you get the information about things like this? Do you guys just search for it on the web? I was wondering this. Quote
Pate-keetongu Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 I think the chances for Barks/Rosa canon Donald Duck are weak. Sadly. Especially if he comes with Pluto, which should have nothing to do with the "real" Donald. Quote
Borex Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 When will we be seeing some leaks. If there's new molds involved we have to see something leaking on taobao or somewhere else eventually, right? I'm curious to see how they're going to do it, and if it's mixable with other themes (new head-molds, yellow/flesh or unlegolike prints). I think the list, if true, is pretty solid. The Inside Out figs initially sounded as a wishlist, but someone said that it could be bait for kids, and that seems pretty logical to me. Quote
Actor Builder Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 Although this is already defined as "Minifigures" series and it unlikely happens, I agree that minidolls could be ultilized in more different licensed themes. Toy Story minidolls would work well for me. I must not have been clear, sorry. What I meant was that anyone who thinks molded heads are great but thinks the minidolls are bad is...not of my opinion. I don't care much for minidolls, but if molded heads are acceptable because they "Look more like the character", then the minidolls should logically be the same deal. That said, I don't care how they are portrayed. I'm just glad to have Wall-E. Quote
Ed3n Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 I must be the only one here who is excited to see Tarzan and Jane included in the first Disney minifigure series. Tarzan is one of my all time favourite Disney cartoon. If you haven't seen it, do yourself a favour and watch it. It has really good story line, funny, well animated and also very sad. I think that Jane may be the first Disney female minifigure to come with the new dress piece in yellow and perhaps she will have an umbrella as an accessory. I am also happy with the inclusion of Mulan in the first series. I wonder whether she will appear as warrior like or in princess/femine form. Hopefully the tiny red dragon (can't remember his name) will be her accessory. I think the more obscure characters Lego make, the better. As someone has stated in this thread, we will see more of the popular Disney characters in the later series (if this series is popular, which I am sure it will be). Quote
BrickFit26 Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 Meh, if the list is real, then there are some good minifigures, but overall its just meh to me right now. I never even heard of or seen Inside Out and the fact that they have 5 minifigures dedicated to the movie is Quote
Robert8 Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 The chance of being this list false is low, because bau-ukraine hasn't posted any fakes before. Hmmm Interesting My guesses: 1. Mickey Mouse - Moulded Head 2. Minnie Mouse - Moulded Head 3. Donald Duck and Pluto - Moulded Head 4. Peter Pan - Regular Head 5. Mulan - Regular Head 6. Genie - Moulded Head 7. Aladdin - Regular Head 8. Lilo - Regular Head 9. Stitch - Moulded Head 10. Tarzan - Not sure.... 11. Jane - Regular Head 12. Captain Hook - Moulded Head 13. Jafar - Moulded Head 14. Joy - Regular Head 15. Sadness - Regular Head 16. Anger - Moulded Head 17. Fear - Moulded Head 18. Disgust - Regular Head Quote
