@ rob-ot5000: IMHO the most iconic Tarzan version was Christopher Lambert in the 1984 movie Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes.

About the Toy Story issue: there have been two shorts made for TV in recent years Toy Story of Terror (2013) and Toy Story That Time Forgot (2014). The next big movie is slated for 2018 and will be centered around Bo Peep. I expect we will get her then, as Lego will not want to miss out on the continuation of Pixar's most iconic property. The new dress piece should come in handy there.

If they do Goofy for this series, I hope his green hat is removable. I have an idea for it.

I can't believe that in 50+ pages there is still no real information about this :(

Well it shoulkd depend on how soon the series will come, not the pages here  .

Oh, how could I believe we would see the 5 characters from inside out... Great! I do not like those at all and they have like, nothing to do in here :)

Regarding the princesses, I think we won't be seeing any that was already made in the hideous mini doll form (ella, aurora, jasmine, merida, ariel, elsa and anna) but rather snow white and belle ;) And there are so many other females like pocahontas, mulan, esmeralda etc.

I don't believe that, but I rather think LEGO could do one or two IO sets if they do believe that IO is popular enough so that kids would love to have all the main characters rather than just one or two from a CMF series. I would imagine a Headquarter set and a Memory Dump set with two different groups of characters.

Pocahontas is also a DP member though. It's sure a nice thing to change minidolls to minifigures for different fans, but not via CMF necessarily.

(This comes from the CMF Series 15 review thread)

Do tell. The only one I can think of would be Cinderella.

Or Tiana

But I hope it won't be any of those because that dress piece is nowhere near to Cinderella/Tiana style of the dress.

The only Disney character that had a dress like the S15 Queen's was Charlotte:

A light blue dress would work for Cinderella but in MY opinion I'm a little iffy about the inclusion of any Princesses.

Yeah, I don't think any of the DPs need the Queen's dress. It's just not the right shape.

The shape isn't quite right for the majority of the Disney princesses, but in all fairness the mini-doll dress piece they use isn't really either (Frankly, I think outside of Merida and Aurora the piece hasn't looked that great). Ultimately I think the new dress mold is close enough they could use it. I think it's far better than using that terrible old slope brick which is too flat and too tall. The only real problem with the Queen's dress is it's too puffy, but I'd take that over too flat any day. Perhaps they'll surprise us and create a dress piece somewhere in-between the Queen dress and the regular slope brick.

And if anything it could be for a 2015 version of Cinderella as that dress is definitely bigger that the Classic one. And honestly if they did include Cinderella in the CMF I'd kind of think they'd want it to be a different design than the mini-doll version, if anything so it doesn't diminish the appeal of the mini-doll version.

On a side-note the new dress piece would be perfect for the Queen of Hearts.

It would look weird for Cinderella

She would look better with the regular slope piece, IMO

I think the series 15 queen's dress suits cinderella more than the regular slope piece. That image is a newer version of cinderella, if you search for the 1950 movie you'll see it is a lot more voluminous.

Unless they base their minifigures on the horrid modern designs which I doubt. I think the only characters who have new versions are the princesses, they changed their hairstyles, thickness of the dresses and some even have floral designs just because. Don't get me wrong, I know they used these newer versions for their minidolls but that was only to make them more atteactive to girls. But the target audience for this minifig series is much much wider and I imagine that most of us aren't expecting the girlier modified versions.

EDIT: Well I guess the newer versions of the princesses have the same puffiness as the origina ones, lol.

Was Queen Amidala's dress ever considered though? They may simply use the series 15 dress for the queen of hearts and amidala's for the princesses.

they may base cinderella off the live action movie. i know when they released maleficent for disney infinity they used the angelina jolie version as opposed to the animated. i dont know what cindys dress looked like in that as i never went [more an animation buff] i would LOVE a charlotte wearing that dress though.

as for pixar, buzz lightyear is a name every child knows and loves, no matter their age. most kids i know would rather have buzz over joy, even if the latter is fresher. buzz is a childhood staple, more so even than woody.

In that case, Cinderella's hair will also be Dark Tan. It's probably going to go for "recognizable". So DP-brand dress without some of the frills.

True! The original cinderella has light brown hair, not the light blonde color. But anyway, I feel like they will make her blonde as opposed to the original color, the recent versions of her have brainwashed us I guess.

It was more of a strawberry blonde to me, perhaps a bit like the medium nougat Lego uses.

I don't think it's exactly brainwashing. Even though I know her hair is not that blonde and really her dress is a pearly white I only see it in my mind as straw blonde and a blue dress. In some scenes of the original movie her dress and hair change to these colors, due to lighting, the night scenes at the ball particularly cast this hue onto her. Memory is an odd thing and often latches onto certain scenes and colors over others. A lot of people remember Cinderella this way rather than how most of the film shows her, Disney merely capitalizes on this misconception. Manipulating is probably closer to what they're doing. That's probably not much better...

Personally I would rather Lego not use these updated designs and colors, at the same time I can understand why they do. Lego has a limited color palette and creating that pearly white of Cinderella's dress would be a challenge, it would probably turn out grey and dull. And it wouldn't be as flashy as those glittery and brightly colored redesigns.

She would be a nice surprising/cost saver/filler character.... but yeah I don't think it will happen
Well the discussion seems to be Disney Princess' range so not quite on-topic. I do hope that Disney Princess sets could give more subcharacters (if not asking for villains in the first place), but now there are no new DP member theme added in the first 2016 wave, sadly.

The minidoll skirts would look the closest with the real characters, if not, I like how the traditonal slopes work in my MOCs, and not sure if the new Queen skirt works for other non-princess characters from the Disney franchise. Oh well, maybe that Queen.....

Obviously depends on your age. Johnny Weissmuller is known just for Tarzan (and swimming). He played Tarzan many times. Whereas Christopher Lambert doesn't really spring to mind when thinking about Tarzan, and Tarzan doesn't spring to mind when thinking about Christopher Lambert.

I also agree that the new queen's dress wouldn't go so well with some disney princesse's. The new piece is incredible, but I don't see it with some disney characters. It could work for Belle though.

I think the new dress piece looks a lot better than the slope, in general.

The only thing that irks me about the slope dress piece is the slight height difference and that it doesn't have the pegs that regular minifiure legs have to connect it to the body. I hate that the upper body easily comes off with the dress slope. So glad they gave that new dress piece the pegs to connect it securely to the upper body.
