That is soccer series.

Maybe, but "you'll be surprised?" Maybe it is, and they're just saying "hey, it's not a normal minfigure series!" Then again, it's right around the Olympics, so why not coincide a little bit?

It isn't because this series won't be sold in US

I'm trying a guess :)

. -> 4 classic (Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy)

. -> 4 Villains (Hook, Jafar, Maleficent, Ursula)

. -> 5 Princesses (Elsa, Anna, Belle, Ariel, Jasmine)

. -> 5 Heroes / Princes (Peter Pan, Aladdin, The Beast, Eric, Kristoff)

I'm probably wrong but I'd like that (I don't want Frozen minifigs but I guess...) Plus, we saw fake Snow-White and fake Belle, so Anna down, and Snow-White up. Kristoff down, and Joy from Inside Out up ! :)

Well uh, clearly that means you forgot those non-royalty Disney heroines. I'm sure Disney heroines pretty much need the chances in this series especially when Disney princess's have got their own product line.

Kinda not sure why Daisy wouldn't be in your list. Well LEGO could also do Clarabelle, Pete and Scrooge and so on in possible future series, but since there are just too many franchises, I guess five are enough at this point.

Ok I see your point, even if I'd like to have Mulan or Pocahontas, I don't know if they are considered as Princess ? Maybe I classify them as Heroines. I don't think it's because Disney Princess have their own product line, it means we can't have them as classic minifigures, I hope we'll have some of them...

Clarabelle or Scrooge would be great but in a second wave, I guess LEGO have to satisfy a large community of fan. It's nice to have 2 more minifigures compared to classic series. :)

Well if you see my sign above, obviously I support minifigure idea as you do. The point is that the CMF series is not the legit chance for them. Remember that there are also LEGO's in-house minidoll franchises, but not every theme would get their own CMF series cause they don't have the market demand. We still have to rely on the regluar products if we need classic minifigures, overall.

There are more than 50% Disney franchises that have no royalties and princess. Maybe you haven't got what i meant about "other Disney heroines"? :look:

Mickey's Friends are the representives of Disney franchise indeed. But since many Disney franchises have their own large fanbase, I wouldn't be surprised if LEGO decide to just put three in the first series.

I agree, and since the Disney Princess line is focused on minidolls, this is as good a chance as any to get them as minifigures.

The rumored Superhero Girls series could ensure a possible chance for the certain supergirls to have both figure versions, but that case happens when they're both regular product lines. As said, since not every minidoll-included theme would have own CMF series (unless we literally have ten series every year), it's not the fundamental solution, obviously.

I think we should focus on some other popular non-Princess franchises instead, like Alice, Peter Pan or Tron. They have no minifigrues and not even minidolls before.

Yes, but their most notable females are their princesses. Of course we'll get some. They have a quota to meet with female characters and they are most recognizable and appealing to children and collectors.

Uh well that's why there are Disney Princess franchise and its product line for children to buy, aren't they? :sceptic: In this thread we've named many other Disney heroines whom children should be familiar with, too. Disney Villains is a good example.

Unless you mean those unfortunate "unofficial" Disney princess like Kida or Giselle. I agree that they need this kind of redemption  .

If they do princesses, they'll be new, like Snow White and Belle, so as to avoid diverting the sets' sales.

Hummm... :sceptic: Both franchises of these two have good potential in regular sets, I mean, Dwarves' house would be a great hit and Beast could never be in CMF series.

Just not sure why there are no new franchise introduced in this year's LEGO DP line. Otherwise, if DP is not gonna be cancelled soon, maybe this series would have to avoid any conflict with DP's franchises even if they're not in LEGO right now.
