8BrickMario Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Cinderella was good, fleshing out the story of the classic. But if they try to make a famous animal abuser into a sympathetic protagonist...I would love to see both Maleficent and Cruella as minifigures, but I'll be happy with Ursula for now. Jolie's Maleficent isn't nearly as iconic as the classic one, and the movie had its run, so they probably wouldn't try to promote it. I'm still hoping for Snow White and the Old Hag. It seems likely that their first animated film and Princess would be represented here. Quote

Brickity Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 If they do include the inside out characters, why would they decide to put all 5 in the same series? That sounds risky to me. It will probably be just 2 or even 3 (depending on how many series there will be) so the buyers keep an eye on the future series. I must admit though, it sounds a lot more credible that all of the 5 inside out characters end up being made, unlike the incredibles, just not in the same series. Just a thought. Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 (edited) Hmm, how would you guys like star wars rebels style of faces for these Disney "human" minifigures? Edited December 29, 2015 by amazingbricks Quote
Darkdragon Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 It seems logical to me that they will place into this series some of the missing characters from the Disney Princess sets that are already out. Similar to what they did with the Simpsons series. I would expect a lot more classic figures and not as much from new-ish (but already on dvd) films. I also don't expect we'd see anything from any live action tween tv shows. It would be fun if we got some Lion King figures out of this, but I'm not really convinced they'd do that here based on CMF history so far. Quote
Ultron Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Hmm, how would you guys like star wars rebels style of faces for these Disney "human" minifigures? I would like that very much. No clone wars eyes please. I think Lego works best when it's got that charm of standard minifigs. The cartoon eyes throw that off a bit Quote
Brickity Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Hmm, how would you guys like star wars rebels style of faces for these Disney "human" minifigures? I was about to comment about it. I have a STRONG feeling they will have that style with large eyes. If you ask me what I'd prefer, then it would be the regular lego style so they are more compatible. Quote

CM4Sci Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Hmm, how would you guys like star wars rebels style of faces for these Disney "human" minifigures? So basically normal pupils. I think that's what everybody expected. Quote

just2good Posted December 29, 2015 Author Posted December 29, 2015 Maybe Rafiki? He could be translated into a (very weird) minifigure. I love this idea, heck, I think LEGO will see this and probably do it in Series 2 if we spread the word. He can have a moulded head, a new sitting leg mould maybe, and throw in a baby Simba. Quote
gedren_y Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 I'm doubtful it would ever happen, but I would really like it if they included Zorro (the original Guy Williams version). Lego need only produce his caballero hat, give him a whip, and a rapier (maybe printing on the hilt). Quote
LEGODalekbuster523 Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 If Rafiki is included, he will need a moulded head. Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 So basically normal pupils. I think that's what everybody expected. Really? I thought most people were expecting big eyes like clone wars minifigures. Quote

They would probably go with the short legs But a baby Simba mould would rock! Quote
Bricky Dee Williams Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Given his many uses in the Disney franchises, could we expect at least one Prince Charming in the series? I also feel we could see the fairy godmother, regardless of any princesses. Quote

BrickFit26 Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 OMG, I cannot believe they are finally making Ursula. I've been a superfan since I was a little kid, this is a dream come true. :) I've been a fan of hers too. Glad she's being made into a minifigure. Quote
Ultron Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 I got confused with clone wars for a moment. Gotcha. Either way, it's good we're getting regular eyes! Quote
BrickFit26 Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 And at least one f the 7 dwarves.... My money is on Grumpy Yes! I would love to see Grumpy. Quote

My money is on Grumpy Uhmm but that would say not all of seven dwarfs would be here, as same as the Incredibles case. I believe LEGO is able to do a real Dwarf house set with all dwarfs and Snow, but based on the proress they made with the newest Princess wave, I doubt they want to do it.If the Princess line can still add the remaining franchises next time, I think they would still do a small forest walking scene set with just Snow and the Prince and his horse, suppose that they determine to miss the dwarfs out. deskp Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Really? I thought most people were expecting big eyes like clone wars minifigures. Thank heaven we don't get that. lego sorta fixed their clone wars mistake when they did normal eyes in rebels. And it would be a huge misstep IMO if they did other eyes again unless tis some very special situation that demand it. I did worry disney might have pushed lego to do classic "disney eyes" But if thats not the case woohoo! Quote
telaruhn Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 Excited for Ursula. 90% sure she'll get a new mold for her legs, since it feels unlikely to get the Atlantis Squid Warrior leg mold. Getting her but not Ariel in minifigure form would be a shame, in my opinion. Also cool to see some of the upcoming hairpieces. I bet they'll look great on other figures, as well! Quote
