No Donald or Goofy?

Like Coca-Cola said, I meant no tv show type characters. Donald & Goofy are classics that they could be made into minifigs.

Chip and Dale might appear as microfigures in this series or as minifigures in further series. I also miss the TV shows you named and would love to see them, but based on the fact 90's or 00's shows don't appear in recent Disney toys nowadays, I'm afraid to say their chances are not big. Though I support to see some TV show characters, I think the ongoing ones would own the advantages.

I know right. I miss them because I grew up with them. I still watch some of them youtube. If we were to get some of these characters in future series i would be so thrilled.

i think BrickFit26 meant no tv show type cartoon characters, gargoyles, kim possible, phineas and ferb etc. goofy and donald seem quite likely just on account of them being staple Disney characters.

Thanks for clarifying

sadly, i never got into gargoyles as a kid, but i found a goliath action figure with fabric wings at a thrift store a year or so back. bit of thread and a pin, and hes hanging from my ceiling. ive watched a few episodes online, and can see the appeal. i admire the designs. goliath looks like he could be beasts cousin. he would need the fauns legs in the right color, the gargoyles wings and torso, and likely a hair piece to get the correct head shape. tail would likely be a new mould. dont know if scratchy's would be the right style or not.

Cool find.

I loved Gargoyle it was quite popular here in France, the french opening is still on Youtube :) In 90's, we got programs like 'Disney Club' or 'Disney Parade' with Disney Movies, tv show (Gargoyles, TaleSpin, Goof Troop, Scrooge McDuck, Darkwing Duck, Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers, Aladdin, The little Mermaid, The Gummi Bears, Winnie the Pooh etc...) Some great moments as a child :) I'd love in future series some characters like Baloo (from TaleSpin - Super Baloo in French), Darkwing Duck (named Myster Mask in French), the Junior Woodchucks (les Castors Junior) with Junior Woodchucks Guidebook (manuel des Castors Junior), Chip & Dale Rescue Rangers (Tic & Tac Rangers du risque) etc...

I'd love to see the episodes in French. My favorites were Gummi Bears, DuckTales, Gargoyles & Rescue Rangers.

I think Chip & Dale have a decent shot in this, or a follow up, series. It's worth looking at the characters that not only keep cropping up in Disney merchandise, but also those that work across various markets.

Chip & Dale, much like Stitch, seem to be on the permanent roster at any Disney store, and particularly popular for some Asian audiences.

Of course, I'm also biased, and keen to see them as minifigures,

I'm sure they'll be coming soon! They'd take the spots Itcy and Scratchy had in the Simpsons CMF line.

Depends on which way you expect them to be. If Rescue Rangers is still ongoing, there's a 90% chance for theses two to be done in individual figures, just like Tinkerbell's own cartoon series. I wouldn't mind to see them as minifigures. But on the other hand, making them microfigures could also save spots for other franchises in a general view.

As for itcht&Scratchy, one of the couch gag scene showed that their sizes are not too different from humans, but not sure if that's a canon reference.

I wonder how many waves there will be? So far only two have been confirmed, no?

No confimation, if the first one doesn't sell well, absolutely no second one. Maybe the spots of Mickey&Friends would be a usefull indicator. Edited by Dorayaki

Not really, but the sheer amount of source material and the Simpsons' precedent practically guarantees at least one more series.

Two? Nah, just one, due out May 16th this year. However, there is a mysterious Disney CMF D2C exclusvie out sometime this year that we know little about.

What do we know about that Disney CMF D2C exclusvive ? Is like the Simspons House or the Kwik-E-Mart released just before the Simspons CMF Series ? So we could expect a big set Disney CMF ? not minidolls or Disney Princess thing ?

Which set you (all of you) think ?

If there is a second one, 2018 would be more likely. If we get a Batman CMF and Ninjago CMF based on their movies, TLG would still want to fit in another series, which would take the Disney spot.

I don't think Superheroes-related franchises would become a choice of CMF since that is a really big moneymaker, otherwise LEGO would have made it the first licensed CMF series prior to Simpsons. As for Ninjago or TLM2, they're LEGO's originals and would be classfied as special themed series.

But yeah, it might be possible to see other license candidates to take turns or replace Disney one day. IMO, unlike Simpsons which won't have growth in its main cast, Disney franchises not only have classics but could also keep growing. Wonder if it could have a long stay in CMF. :sweet:

Oh, I think it definitely will have staying power. Disney is just so large and varied, and has something for nearly everyone. I think this CMF line might end up being the most popular one yet.

We are most likely not getting belle and the beast because a set of it is coming

Correct- 41067 Belle's Enchanted Castle, will be about $60 from what I heard.

Is this a "princesses" set?

Ima assume yes, becasue that's too cheap to make a worthwhile enough castle set in normal line.

It's Belle's castle now? So it's post Beauty and the Beast era? Damn, I wanted a Beast minifigure so badly
