milojthatch Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 I saw some "Miles from Tomorrowland" Duplo sets at my local Target today and it made me think, LEGO and Disney have gotten real chummy the last few years, huh? I guess it makes this new CMF line the natural next step. Quote
Brickity Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 (edited) Oh my God no, oh my God no. Been waiting for beast and belle for so long and you LEGO decide to introduce them in the fugly minidoll form? D i s g u s t i n g. Prove me wrong LEGO, and demonstrate it is a system d2c set >:( Edited January 5, 2016 by Otherworld Quote
deskp Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 Was it actually confirmed we wont get beast or Belle in cmf, or was it only specifically confirmed we get a set. Quote

I think LEGO and Warner Bros. are pretty 'chummy' as well, considering WB Games are always listed alongside Traveller's Tales for the videogames. Quote
8BrickMario Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 Eh. I can live with it. I didn't really expect Belle to be here instead of in the DP theme. Quote
sylin Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 I wonder if we'll get Nick Wilde or Judy Hopps. It's a possibility, They might use this to promote Zootopia. Or even Moana, which comes out a little later on in 2016. Quote
x105Black Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 (edited) We are most likely not getting belle and the beast because a set of it is coming One should not exclude the other. Correct- 41067 Belle's Enchanted Castle, will be about $60 from what I heard. Interesting news. I hope that this is either a minifigure set, or that they will still be included in the CMF series. Oh my God no, oh my God no. Been waiting for beast and belle for so long and you LEGO decide to introduce them in the fugly minidoll form? D i s g u s t i n g. Prove me wrong LEGO, and demonstrate it is a system d2c set >:( Minidolls are indeed awful. I would really like to see them in the standard minifigure form. Was it actually confirmed we wont get beast or Belle in cmf, or was it only specifically confirmed we get a set. It was not confirmed yet. Can anyone confirm this? Maybe the Enchanted Castle will have a minidoll Belle, and the CMF series will have a minifigure Beast. Unlikely, but it's a possibility. Edited January 5, 2016 by x105Black Quote

I guess it makes this new CMF line the natural next step. Uh well, that show is part of the Disney Junior line, and Duplo Disney has actually been activated for years. I think there's no clear evidence that Duplo Disney does affect the later System Disney things. Toy Story, Cars and Disney Princess appear in both scale, while others like Disney Junior shows, Winne the Pooh and Plane are only exclusive to Duplo lineup. On the other hand, I think the thing Warner Bros have very few franchises in Duplo is just due to that they don't have too many feasible candidates. Oh my God no, oh my God no. Been waiting for beast and belle for so long and you LEGO decide to introduce them in the fugly minidoll form? D i s g u s t i n g. Prove me wrong LEGO, and demonstrate it is a system d2c set >:( Well, everyone has their own favorite, but maybe we could just say it in a more polite or tolerable way. As for me, I just like both figures and would love to see all of them keep going. And honestly, since the minidoll line came earlier than the minifigrue series (for Disney classics), I'm rather surprised that you think LEGO would love to do Belle as minifigure in the first place . Interesting news. I hope that this is either a minifigure set, or that they will still be included in the CMF series.Maybe the Enchanted Castle will have a minidoll Belle, and the CMF series will have a minifigure Beast. Unlikely, but it's a possibility. Uh since a exclusive set is confirmed, how come Belle&Beast have to be in the CMF series? It's my assumption, if LEGO is willing to do an original Beast mold for both his body and head, the Beast could probably fit in both minifigure and minidoll circumstance and that would be a good figure. And as said from the beginning, we should already see that oversize characters are not the recommended choices for blind bags. If regular sets could give a favor, that should the best news for fans, shouldn't it? Edited January 5, 2016 by Dorayaki Quote

Traveller's Tales was bought by Warner Bros. in 2007, so not really surprising WB Games is credited on the games. Quote
Huigberts Builds Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 Hey, I had this idea lately. What if there will ever be a followup game to Lego dimensions, what if they then would do the same thing as nintendo and skylanders did, so a figure that could be used for both games. A Lego mickey for example that also becomes the normal mickey if you use it on the Disney infinity game. The chances are pretty odd but it would be cool to see. Quote
8BrickMario Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 Dimensions has been confirmed to be constantly expanding instead of getting new games. And considering that it's in direct competition with Disney Infinity, I think a collaboration would be most unlikely. Quote

Bricky Dee Williams Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 It's Belle's castle now? So it's post Beauty and the Beast era? Damn, I wanted a Beast minifigure so badly Nah, they can't release Bele without the Beats! Unless he's coming in the CMF series, he'd be in the set. Otherwise, it would just be Beauty. No Beast. Who else would be in it? Gaston? Quote

With some books, a rose...there's many possibilities to not put Beast in it. Even if Belle comes in Disney Princess, I still hope to see her with Beast in the series in may. Oky Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 Interesting. Yes, I guess that means we wont get Belle or the Beast in this wave. However, I hold out hope that we might get them in a subsequent series. As I've said before, I think the fact that a character already exists as a minidoll just makes it more likely for the character to appear in these CMFs later on since they will already have the mold for the hair and accessories like Flounder or Sebastian (maybe Lumiere in this case?). Nah, they can't release Bele without the Beats! Indeed! But seriously, it would be strange if they don't include the Beast, especially if it's a $60 set. Then again, it's hard to imagine them including a bigfig in a minidoll set... but that's a discussion for another thread. Quote

Lego Beast wouldn't be a bigfig. he is no taller in comparison to belle than any other man. Lego warewolf style works well for him. Quote

Amazing Bricks Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 (edited) You guys can discuss the Belle's castle in the Disney princess thread here: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=112722&st=150#entry2429498 Anyways, don't expect beast and belle in this series, lets finish that discussion. I was talking about the minidoll set. Sorry for being off-topic there. But yes, if Beast shows up in these CMFs, he'd be a werewolf-style minifig. But we can expect them in series 2 cause next Year disney release the beauty and the beast movie! True, that would be a clever tie-in. Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 But we can expect them in series 2 cause next Year disney release the beauty and the beast movie! Eh, series 2 might come later than expected, with next year highlighting the ninjago movie. There's going to be a minifigure series based off of that. Quote

Amazing Bricks Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 I just think the ninjago movie series will take that special series for the year like Simpson's series 2 last year. Quote
just2good Posted January 6, 2016 Author Posted January 6, 2016 I just think the ninjago movie series will take that special series for the year like Simpson's series 2 last year. No, it was originally planned for August of this year (the CMF series) with the movie coming in September, but it was pushed back to next year (the movie). So it'll be August/September of next year that the series comes out. Quote
