Disney Collectible Minifigures Series 1 Discussion

I saw some "Miles from Tomorrowland" Duplo sets at my local Target today and it made me think, LEGO and Disney have gotten real chummy the last few years, huh? I guess it makes this new CMF line the natural next step.

I think LEGO and Warner Bros. are pretty 'chummy' as well, considering WB Games are always listed alongside Traveller's Tales for the videogames.

Correct- 41067 Belle's Enchanted Castle, will be about $60 from what I heard.

Minidolls are indeed awful. I would really like to see them in the standard minifigure form.

It was not confirmed yet. Can anyone confirm this?

Maybe the Enchanted Castle will have a minidoll Belle, and the CMF series will have a minifigure Beast. Unlikely, but it's a possibility.

Uh well, that show is part of the Disney Junior line, and Duplo Disney has actually been activated for years. I think there's no clear evidence that Duplo Disney does affect the later System Disney things. Toy Story, Cars and Disney Princess appear in both scale, while others like Disney Junior shows, Winne the Pooh and Plane are only exclusive to Duplo lineup.

On the other hand, I think the thing Warner Bros have very few franchises in Duplo is just due to that they don't have too many feasible candidates.

Well, everyone has their own favorite, but maybe we could just say it in a more polite or tolerable way. As for me, I just like both figures and would love to see all of them keep going.

And honestly, since the minidoll line came earlier than the minifigrue series (for Disney classics), I'm rather surprised that you think LEGO would love to do Belle as minifigure in the first place .

Uh since a exclusive set is confirmed, how come Belle&Beast have to be in the CMF series?

It's my assumption, if LEGO is willing to do an original Beast mold for both his body and head, the Beast could probably fit in both minifigure and minidoll circumstance and that would be a good figure.

And as said from the beginning, we should already see that oversize characters are not the recommended choices for blind bags. If regular sets could give a favor, that should the best news for fans, shouldn't it?

Traveller's Tales was bought by Warner Bros. in 2007, so not really surprising WB Games is credited on the games.

Hey, I had this idea lately. What if there will ever be a followup game to Lego dimensions, what if they then would do the same thing as nintendo and skylanders did, so a figure that could be used for both games. A Lego mickey for example that also becomes the normal mickey if you use it on the Disney infinity game. The chances are pretty odd but it would be cool to see.

Dimensions has been confirmed to be constantly expanding instead of getting new games. And considering that it's in direct competition with Disney Infinity, I think a collaboration would be most unlikely.

I think other characters like Lumière, Mrs. Potts & Chip, maybe the wardrobe or Cogsworth. With some books, a rose...there's many possibilities to not put Beast in it. Even if Belle comes in Disney Princess, I still hope to see her with Beast in the series in may.

Interesting. Yes, I guess that means we wont get Belle or the Beast in this wave. However, I hold out hope that we might get them in a subsequent series. As I've said before, I think the fact that a character already exists as a minidoll just makes it more likely for the character to appear in these CMFs later on since they will already have the mold for the hair and accessories like Flounder or Sebastian (maybe Lumiere in this case?).

Lego Beast wouldn't be a bigfig. he is no taller in comparison to belle than any other man. Lego warewolf style works well for him.

I didn't say they have to be. I said that I want them to be, and that maybe they would be.

If regular sets are providing minifigures and not minidolls, then yes, that's the best news for fans.

Lego Beast wouldn't be a bigfig. he is no taller in comparison to belle than any other man. Lego warewolf style works well for him.

Eh, series 2 might come later than expected, with next year highlighting the ninjago movie. There's going to be a minifigure series based off of that.

No, it was originally planned for August of this year (the CMF series) with the movie coming in September, but it was pushed back to next year (the movie). So it'll be August/September of next year that the series comes out.
