NXS7 Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 Although if Mickey does have mini legs, Goofy would be normal legs I suppose Quote
Robert8 Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 (edited) With regular legs, Mickey would look as a costumed guy. Short legs would keep the proportions closer to the character. Giving regular legs to Mickey, would be like giving regular legs to Hans Moleman in the Simpsons series Edited February 13, 2016 by Robert8 Quote
Jbricks Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 Because they are not 3 layers. There are only 2. Simpsons short legs are dual molded. The top and bottom have to be the same color, while the middle is a different color. Quote
Robert8 Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 Simpsons short legs are dual molded. The top and bottom have to be the same color, while the middle is a different color. Exactly, that's what I meant but you said it better Quote
CM4Sci Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 I though about this, but does Mickey really need short legs? Doesn't look like he's going to have them :) He'd look weird without short legs. Besides those are two molds not 3, the top and bottom, then the middle is separate. Quote
Robert8 Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 (edited) Look at this official artwork from the House of Villains TV special I would be really disappointed if he doesn't have short legs, especially considering that Hook and Ursula are confirmed and Hades and Cruella are likely given the new Ghost Rider flame hairpiece and the new Kraven the Hunter fur/neck piece. Mickey would look completely out of proportion with regular legs (Unless they are calling him "Steroids Mickey" ) Edited February 13, 2016 by Robert8 Quote
Boettner Builds Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 I'm also on the short legs bandwagon. I HATE the short legs, but they are required for hobbits and I think the Disney series. Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 I'm just saying, they won't look right on him. Quote
BrickFit26 Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 I agree, short legs for Mickey is best. Quote

CM4Sci Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 I'm just saying, they won't look right on him. Yes they will? That Itchy/Scratchy mouse from Simpsons looked fine. Quote
Robert8 Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 Thanks for letting me know, I wasn't aware of that. There are pictures of how the mould looks like, but I couldn't find them Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 Yes they will? That Itchy/Scratchy mouse from Simpsons looked fine. That's because they have no detailing on their legs whatsoever. They look fine, but Mickey is far more detailed than them. If lego decide to go with the short legs, it's going to be tough with all the details. Regular legs wouldn't look right for him, but it's the only way to get all the details. Quote

The Simpsons series had printing in the short legs piece -------------- I was thinking.... they introduced short sleeves and moulded short legs in Simpsons Series Maybe they will introduce 3 colored short legs in this one? He was talking about itchy and scratchy, not Bart or the other kids. Three colored legs would be interesting, but it seems complicated. Edited February 13, 2016 by amazingbricks Quote
Actor Builder Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 The Rocket Raccoon Polybag figure had three colors. It was base dark red, with mostly grey printing, bit there was black as well. Mickey should have no problem being a tri-colored short figure. Quote
Falconfan1414 Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 Hopefully this debate is answered tomorrow at the toy fair Quote
x105Black Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 But Mickey would need short legs Why does Mickey need short legs? I don't think he does. I don't think that the Mickey and Friends gang will be to scale with the other Heroes and Villains. Essentially, Donald will likely be human sized, and the gang will all be in scale relative to each other (but not relative to the other characters). Mickey is not much shorter than Donald, so they should both have normal legs. Goofy could have normal legs, but would be done better with the tall legs. Of course, Goofy is shorter than most of those villains in the picture, but I can't imagine them doing them all in the scale shown there. If so, Hades and Ursula would be bigfigs. And if they gave Mickey short legs, they would have to give them to Donald, and maybe even Goofy judging by the scale of that picture. Quote
CM4Sci Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 I saw what was shown at the NYTF. A boldly blue box that's different from what we saw earlier. It's got a magical star trail behind the get Minifigures. Nothing. Someone who is there ask please! Quote
deskp Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 The box says 16 minifigures to collect. They just forget to update the placeholder box? http://i.toynewsi.com/g/generated/2016_New_York_Toy_Fair/LEGO/2016_Toy_Fair_LEGO67__scaled_800.jpg Quote

During the film, he was shown to te able the change his size Same with Ursula Edited February 13, 2016 by Robert8 Quote

During the film, he was shown to te able the change his size Same with Ursula I'm just saying we can't use that picture as a parameter. It shows a bunch of short characters and a bunch of normal characters all in scale together. I think we'll see the short characters in scale with each other, and then the other characters in scale with each other, all centered around the typical minifigure. So I think Donald and Hook will both be normal sized minifigures, even though Hook is fairly tall and Donald is very short. Quote
CM4Sci Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 Speaking of Hades, Ghost Rider's hair is an excellent piece to use. Might as well add Hercules and Hades to the list! :P Quote
