Falconfan1414 Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 Wait so this series has 18 right? Not 16? Because the box at the toy fair says 16 Quote
Robert8 Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 Wait so this series has 18 right? Not 16? Because the box at the toy fair says 16 I'd say it's a mistake The catalog pic and the box in the London Toy Fair said 18. Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 That box gets me more excited, definitely my most anticipated series. Quote
LEGODalekbuster523 Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 (edited) No Mickey Mouse minifigure reveal at least? LEGO are just being unfair now. Edited February 13, 2016 by LEGODalekbuster523 Quote
Brickity Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 I'm sure we will know nothing until the official release in their facebook page. It's taking them too long, however. And about Hades, it's likely we'll get him now that we have the ghost rider, but his "fire-hair" will probably be too voluminous for Hades. Quote
tafkatb Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 What do you mean "taking too long"? Series 15 just hit (North American) shelves two weeks ago. The Simpsons series that came out at the same time last year as these will be this year was revealed mid-March. It's not like this is an unprecedented wait. Quote
CM4Sci Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 As much as I wanna see this series, we just saw over 100 new sets for the rest of the year, we can wait a bit. Quote
BrickFit26 Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 16 or 18 There's been some confusion going on lately with CMF, more like lack of attention to details. Quote
NXS7 Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 16 or 18 There's been some confusion going on lately with CMF, more like lack of attention to details. Seeing as there is no detail on minifigures, this is obviously a prototype box, and as all previous series have used 16 (except for Mr Gold) figures, this is just a little change in color and sparkles to represent Disney. The color is the only thing that changes on these prototype boxes Quote

Ardelon Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 For three-colored legs, couldnt they just dye the main piece yellow on the bottom half or third, keep the top part red, and then apply the middle black plastic normally? Quote
CM4Sci Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 I think they'd just print it black and red then paint the shoes yellow. Quote
Actor Builder Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 It'd probably work better If they were red and yellow with printed black. Yellow printed on black would not work very well. We would all be mad that the yellow didn't look right because it was printed over black. Quote

And if it was short legs the shoes would be red not black before printing. Quote

Red colour for the main part, lower part printed over with yellow (as much as possible) and the middle part (what can be a separate colour anyway) just in black. Don't know if it's possible however. x105Black Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 That doesn't work out if its short legs. And if it was short legs the shoes would be red not black before printing. Well hopefully they won't use short legs. Quote
JaseTJ Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 My word, can we give Mickey's legs a rest? They'll do it how they do it, and we aren't gonna affect their decision (and the fact that they've already finished his design is the last reason for that). I realize there hasn't been much news, but this discussion is gonna drive me batty... Can we just, I dunno, be patient..? Quote

I realize there hasn't been much news, but this discussion is gonna drive me batty... Can we just, I dunno, be patient..? If you'd like to offer up a new topic of discussion, I'd be all ears (Mickey Mouse Pun Intended), but as it stands you're just telling us to stop saying anything because you don't like reading it, which is silly. So, no. LEGS! LEGS LEGS! MOUSE LEGS! I think they'll be short, but that's just my guess. Quote
strangely Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 They could always create new legs entirely. It's not like that hasn't happened before. Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 They could always create new legs entirely. It's not like that hasn't happened before. Good point, but with all the new head pieces in this series, it seems unlikely. Quote
strangely Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 Good point, but with all the new head pieces in this series, it seems unlikely. Well Mickey's head mold would likely be reused (for Minnie), so I could see them creating two new molds for one character if future use was likely. Quote
MysteriousSir Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 I'm honestly of the opinion over here that they'll be regular. Everyone's focusing on height proportion, but let's not forget how absurdly skinny his legs are. I think short legs would be jarringly disproportionate in that regard and regular, although not height-accurate, would create a better overall impression. Quote
CM4Sci Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 Kinda sorta related to this series - interesting video of how the DUPLO Mickey was made. Did you see that tool they used for making the head mold? I wonder if they'll use this for this series' molds. Quote

That video showed pretty much the same process they've shown in the past. Edited February 15, 2016 by strangely Quote
