Amazing Bricks Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 From what I'm hearing, no molded heads like the Simpson's. Since series 14 was the first series to introduce the dual molded legs, they want to keep doing that for the upcoming series. Making new big head molds would cost a lot more. Of course their will be new pieces throughout the series. Quote
CM4Sci Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 Hey, I actually have an idea. If Simpsons is over, Disney comes, and we get a D2C with that. Disneyland Castle or whatever the real name is. That's sorta nostalgic.. right? Doesn't sound like a great D2C now that I think about it. Quote

Ultron Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 Hm. That might look strange for certain characters. Hopefully it turns out well. Quote

Robert8 Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 (edited) Disneyland Castle is the Sleeping Beauty Castle. I think Cinderella's Castle (Disneyworld) is the most iconic/nostalgic, IMO Edited August 30, 2015 by Robert8 Quote
Huigberts Builds Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 What about the castle we always see before the movie starts. That will be nostalgic for everyone. Quote

CM4Sci Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 What about the castle we always see before the movie starts. That will be nostalgic for everyone. Still, I guess the castle would be cool, but it just seems like such a boring set. There'd be like... nothing to do. Nothing fun inside. Quote
Huigberts Builds Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 That's Cinderella's Castle (Disneyworld) Wow, really didn't notice. Well then it's obvious, if it's gonna be a castle it's this. But you've said that already. About the heads, it's really hard for me to not see some headmolds. So I was thinking the following: what if, they give all the characters who wear a mask in Disneyland/disneyworld a new headmold, and everyone who is just portrayed by a human without a mask gets the normal Lego head. So we will see a headmolded hook next to a normal peter pan. What do you guys think? Quote
Ultron Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 Well they'd likely add an inside or just have the back open. But the inside isn't that important (although I'm a sucker for a good inside) as long as it looks amazing on the outside! Quote

I've looked up some custom Mickey Mouses (Mice?) and they are not good looking if the face isn't molded. I don't think human characters like Peter or Hook need molds, they would look kinda weird to me. Quote
CM4Sci Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 Yeah, and actually, what if it came with uhhh a store or something else besides the castle. Maybe they'd have the "mascot" version of Mickey in the set and leave the "cartoony" one in the CMF line. Quote

Oh I agree with you, I prefer iconic buildings from movies, series and comics far over the castle. Buildings like scrooge money bin (number 1 for me), Lilo and stitch house, captain hooks pirate ship next to the skull cave (whatever it's called) and more sets like that. Quote
Robert8 Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 They could include Cinderella characters, since this is her castle or These guys: (as this is Disneyworld's castle) Quote

Agent 86 Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 (edited) A castle, preferably Sleeping Beauty's Castle, would be my number one choice for any general "Disney" themed Lego set. I don't think it would be "boring", especially with a bunch of Disney CMFs to play in and around the castle. And they could add various elements to it. It wouldn't need to solely be a walk-though. They could have a throne room, dungeon, etc. Of course, once they've released a castle, then I would want ALL of Main Street, again preferably Disneyland. And some Lego-translatable rides like Dumbo, Teacups, Astro Orbiters, etc. Edited August 30, 2015 by Agent 86 Quote

It will maybe even includes a statue of walt disney and mickey. Quote
Robert8 Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 And the headmoulds could be used in both the CMF line and the D2C set, just like The Simpsons. What else could be added besides the castle though? Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 There's gonna be some minifigures that will require a molded head but not all of them will get the big molded head pieces. Quote

Don't forget the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse and the Matterhorn, to name a couple of the other classic attractions. Quote
