Posted December 4, 200717 yr I see topics about ideas for new themes. So, if you have an idea for a new LEGO theme, share it here!
December 4, 200717 yr I will start this off. I have an idea for a "Spy" theme. I would *wub* to see TLC make sets based around James Bond. Not sets based on exact items, but similar looking. I would like to see models like: 1) an Aston Martin roadster. 2) the underwater car (white). 3) the small one-seater jet. 4) underwater vehicles (aquaraider type). 5) the hydrofoil boat. 6) the space shuttle. 7) the small prop glider. 8) the flying car. 9) the stealth boat. 10) the train in Goldeneye. 11) the British bomber in Thunderball. These were all that I could remember. I thought of these based on how cool I thought they were *y* . New Ideas On!!
December 4, 200717 yr I've always wanted a militaristic line. I grew up a GI Joe fan and have always wanted to have that recreated w/Lego. Also: More "Fantasy" elements in the Castle line. The new Orcs/Trolls/Dwarves ROCK!!!! But what about some Elves? Centaurs? Minotaurs? I know LOTR is a major influence on MANY MOCs... And I'd love He-Man too! I will start this off. January 5, 200817 yr i would like to see more Pirates maybe a Pirates of the caribbean Theme. other theme could be: Troy, x-men & Lord of the Rings And I'd love He-Man too! Yeah He-Man could be nice :-)

January 6, 200817 yr Personally, I would like Advance Wars Lego, as It could work a bit like Warhammer, but cheaper, and the vehicles would be in miniscale, like the creator pods. Add four waring armies and you got a hotcake! :-D
January 6, 200817 yr The Hobbit. Please, Lego. sounds good minifigwise, but not really for the vehicles.
January 6, 200817 yr I'd like them to expand their Batman license to include other DC Comics properties, like Superman, Justice League, Teen Titans, etc. I'd also like the Romans theme that's been bandied about for some time. And either a zoo or a farm in minifig scale.
January 6, 200817 yr For a licensed theme I would like to see James Bond, but it is too voilent and for a more mature age group than Lego's target audience, so it will most likely never happen!
January 6, 200817 yr A zoo theme would be nice, though it could be inserted into the city line. And an Elder Scrolls line. I'd like TLC to continue with Harry Potter till I get a sig-fig.
January 6, 200817 yr I liked the Avatar theme, even though they didnt do anything with it. I think it deserves more sets, there didnt seem to be any thought put into it. Thought seems to be the deciding factor of a theme's success to me; its coolness isnt a priority. I only bought the air temple because it was on sale, and the only sponge bob sets I am likely to buy are the krusty krab and the rocket. The new dwarve's sets added to the castle theme opens a whole new set of doors and welcomes the expansion of a theme that leans more to LOTR. As for new themes...I think LEGO is on the right track expanding into comics/graphic novels and cartoons. The Watchmen theme would be awesome seeing how there is a movie coming out soon, but it isnt exactly aimed toward children. Naruto and Samurai Jack could make for nice themes. You also have the historic aspect that they have hardly tapped. Yes we HAD pirates and the castle theme seems to be rockin' but there is still so much more. Naruto - would make sense, its already a global favorite in books, movies, and toys. Samurai/Japan Roman Ancient Chinese Troy/Spartan/Iliad Western/Pioneer English/French wars and such More Pirates I also like the idea of modern warfare. Tanks, soldiers, humvees, helicopters, boats, special ops, jets, all different kinds of new weapons, its endless. The only problem is with all great themes there are two sides. Knights and skeleton armies, pirates and imperial guards and islanders, Clones and seperatists. Frankly a set that inluded an 80's toyota packed with explosives and 4 iraqi insurgents would piss alot of people off. TLC would have to be extremely careful if they ventured into that theme. Oh, but how cool it would be. Im afraid my turbo tanks and MTT's would have to make room for Hummers and Abrams Tanks.
January 7, 200817 yr I also though about the possibility of Gundams, after the success of Exoforce to mecha and space fans until I found this: This doesn't look like Lego to me *sing* *n* .
January 11, 200817 yr My idea for a lego theme would be called, the Sand Screamers. They are these space explorers who crash land on a desert planet, and find out they are not alone. They must engage the ferocious reptalions, an alien race with humanoid-lizard characteristics. The human forces must find shelter, and also must construct heavy desert vehicles. They could have the vehicle called the Grit Grinder, a large behemoth that crushes any obstacle in front of it with it's massive blades that rotate. I could think of other good potential sets later! ;-) What do you think of this theme?
January 11, 200817 yr I would love to see a military line as said above, but more specifically a WWII line to go along with Indy. I would also love a new pirate line.
January 11, 200817 yr Since people are posting ideas not related just to licensed themes, I'll move this to General LEGO News & Discussion Forum.
January 11, 200817 yr My only idea would be to bring back some kind of monorail set, whether it be space or city (I'd rather space..) But hey. Whatever. (I also know this wont happen, but one can dream) All my other ideas are basically filled already; space has mars mission, mecha has exo force, town is nicely filled up, adventurers has indy now. What more can you want? Theres even the good ole underwater exploration themes. I love where lego is going, and they dont need my ideas to prosper - theyre getting back to their successful basics *wub*

Lego has defenatly been testing these waters for some time now with different themes. I really think this is a strong possibility in the near future. Even if they don't have a Military style line, USC sets of military Hummvee's, jeeps, tanks and suck would could easily be done without ticking anyone off. Of coarse your going to have those that will say "Its never going to happen" but lets face it. A number of legos present theme's have violence pouring out of them, so to use the "Lego's policy is no voilence" doesn't fly anymore. i had an idea for a "spy" type theme many months ago. lego spies idea Many shot it down and said that it would never happen. Well, now we have an Agents theme that has very simular ideas that i proposed. Maybe Lego looks on this site for ideas, maybe it was just a quincadence. Alli know is that TLC is defenatly expanding there theme's to ideas that people thought TLC would never dare think of going. Edited January 11, 200817 yr by 5150 Lego
January 11, 200817 yr lego plus: a range exclusive to shop at home including larger more detailed sets either based on current themes or new ones based on the afol communitys ideas. this could have its own catalouge, and would be aimed at older collectors, so the no violence wouldn't be an issue. perhaps they could design these in conjunction with afols like cafe corner was. steel...
January 11, 200817 yr The idea presented by Steel sounds very appealing to me, a special range of LEGO products suited for AFOLS, which still relate to regular themes. Personally, I'm just loving the current fantasy based Castle line and would like nothing more than to see it expanded by an Elves faction. Not only does it fit the general fantasy theme, but since Elves usually live in forests it would also provide the perfect opportunity to reintroduce a Forest theme. Sets could include Ents, tree houses and secret hide outs. En Elves theme would need several new molds, like Elvish armour, helmets, blades and I'd love a redesigned longbow.
January 12, 200817 yr I don't like the idea of a "war" theme with tanks and helicopters and machine guns, sure they would be great models and look cool, but the theme is about killing. Lego shouldn't have any thing to do with killing, some may say Indy is just as violent, but is really isn't since it involves archeology and not war. With that said I hope there is never a "war" theme, except some nice vehicles in the Indy line like the "flying wing" and a German tank. A hobbit/LOTR line would be pointless since there already is a great Castle theme that has fantasy in it, plus those would be licenses costing more and there would be fleshies. So please no hobbit license :-X *n* I would like to see these themes - Zorro line *wub* - Pirates - Red Barron line( great chance for some sweet planes!!) Hopefully they will exist, eventually once all the license themes are gone.......... P
January 12, 200817 yr - I would love to see an official Ghost Town theme with spooky haunts and creatures. - I like the thought of a Zorro theme or other Mexican/Spanish Wild West theme. - Circus - More history themes including Roman and Greek civilizations - Civil War That's about all I can think of now. I'm sure I have others.
January 12, 200817 yr I'd love a Macross theme. All those transforming Valkyries *wub* . However, even if TLC did pursue it, the sets couldn't be marketed directly in the States due to ongoing litigation over rights in the US brought about by Harmony Gold. If not Macross, just a transforming robot theme would be nice. I also thought the Racer mecha from IGPX would have been interesting, moreso than Avatar. Edited January 12, 200817 yr by M'Kyuun
