SilentWolf Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 To the backstories Captain William Chase, of the Wolf's Expedition company, has recently been promoted to Captain in Her Majesties Royal Navy. The Expedition was offered an incentive should they help refit one of the recently captured pirate ships. They immediately took the opportunity and used their treasure gold (that no one really knew about) to oversea the refitting of the ship. It is now embarking on its first escorted trade run under Her Majesty's colors. They were also given a Captain's commission to grant to whomever they placed in command of the ship. After only a brief discussion the partners agreed that the commission must be given to William Chase. Here he stands talking to the Sergeant of the Marines on board, James Addison, and behind him stands his second-in-command, Harold Ashley. Though no one has said it aloud all on board wish to meet some pirates on this journey that they might engage in some real action. SAM_7292 SAM_7284 SAM_7287 The cabin boys might be taking it a little too easy. SAM_7293 The Marines are busy making sure they are prepared for any battle. (They also need to dust off their helmets apparently.) SAM_7294 SAM_7298 I need to take some better pictures of the bow and the stern. I will upload those when I have them. Quote
BrickOn Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 (edited) Nice ship, seems like Corrington are doing a job lot on promotions, with James William Chase and William Chase making it to Captain in the same week, perhaps they were on the bottle... (Edit: just to be clear, if you google William Chase, you'll find he really is on the bottle ) Edited April 1, 2016 by BrickOn Quote
blackdeathgr Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 Very good ship! I like the color transition on the sides! So smooth. And the sail positions etc is very realistic LEGO-wise! Also minifig posing is very good, especially the training marines. A very nice MOC, and i have to admit, your photography skills seem to get better with every MOC! Quote

My side character had been named William in the intro but I never gave him a last name. I didn't even realize I chose the same last name until I read your post. Oops! Apparently I was recalling it subconsciously. Sorry about that. Quote
Bregir Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 Nice looking little brig, SilentWolf. I like the crew and the life on deck, and the rigging is pretty good too. (Only missing the lowest square sail in the foremast) She's got a nice discreet curve to the hull, and while I prefer cabins to be more integrated in the hull, the transition here works great. I like the overall shape of the cabin, and you have given it some great angles. Well done! Quote
