Moving through the cavern, the party finds no evidence of any eggs, though it does note a pile of ash and soot gathered into some sort of bed, presumably the Salamander's sleeping chamber. Strands of the haunting music play through the air ahead of them as the Party comes to a steep drop off in the glassware, below them a pool of green yellow liquid. The exit of the flask seems currently unassailable given their current position. From the temperature of the surrounding air, Petaldan ascertains the fluid is probably room temperature.

At the top they reach the Aludel, a vast segmented tower of glassware. The walls being thick with condensation provide some grip for climbing. Peering over the edge far below the Party can see a dimly lit orange pool. Above them bright points of light flicker in and out darting here and there as faint singing filters downwards. "Ding dong the Lizard's dead! Which old Lizard? The wicked Lizard! Ding dong..." Ezeran refreshes himself with a grand tonic as Torald rushes to his side to provide support as the extended spell casting takes its toll on the mage. "I thought this would be relatively simple and straightforward and that the problems in this equipment would be obvious, but I am beginning to realize that I am no engineer and thus have no idea how most of this stuff is supposed to work. Do any of you have any experience in dealing with these kinds of things. For instance, do you think we are actually supposed to, somehow, flush out that goo there?"
