For anyone going to the MK store in the next month, a bust of my head is on display as part of the View into the community boxes.

Also, the shop did not have the Batman magnets...

If you bear with me and Joe, we'll be able to give you a report of what's going down in Bluewater (UK). Here's hoping I'll find some Batman stuff there, or so help me...

I no whats in every Pab store in the World. Thats one of the bonuses of being a Brickish member. But I dout they would let me post the inventries in Eurobricks...

What is Brickish and how can I be one too?

Im in the USA, California and the Lego Shop I visit is the one at Valley Fair Mall, Cupertino

From talking with the workers there, and from observing their shelves, they generally don't get new sets till a week or two after S@H and TRU, so nothing too special there...

PAB isn't really all that great based on the wonderful stories I've heard about European PAB...

In the last month or 2 though, they did have 2*2 Tiles, and rotated colors each time I was there... which is always nice... Now I have over 100 each of white, black, yellow, and mdstone tiles... Much cheaper than purchasing the 100 2*2 tiles set from S@H

In US (i.e. Wisconsin and Connecticut for sure) you can purchase lego bricks at thrift stores or second hand stores. I've gotten a little over a gallon (or about 5 liters) of bricks from various thrift stores. It doesn't happen too often though, but when they're there, they're really cheap for those of us that have limited funds. I stop at the thrift store at least weekly to try not to miss them.

I don't know about other parts of the US or world. But it maybe worth a try. :-)

I can confirm that the Birmingham store closed down in November/December. Be assured that it was a quiet and peaceful death. 'Twas a bit of a shock, walking towards the Lego store and finding closing down signs and half the store missing! Probably replaced by some crappy clothes shop :'-(

Hi all-

As a few have already mentioned some of the stores in and around the U.S.A.(TRU, K-Mart, The LEGO Store, et el). I will share with you some places that you can buy LEGOS where most would never think about. Ok please be patient and understand that under no circumstances that you are guarunteed to find new or even complete sets at these locations, or for that matter any LEGOs at all.

Living in a city like Chicago, I have learned that you can find a lot of stuff if you just "dig around". The first thing I will mention is second hand stores. They sometimes have things you would have never found at any other store. Mind you you may have to dig through boxes or ask around, but sometimes you can get lucky. The next place is a Flea Market and to tell you the truth I have gotten the best deals on misc. parts and the like at these places than at others. As an example, back in December of 2006, my buddy and I went to one and we were looking around and have not found anything for like an hour, then as we were about to leave, I told him I will check just two more places here and then we can go.

It was a good thing I did for you see not only did I find LEGOs, but a 64 quart Rubbermaid tub 3/4 full of LEGO. When I asked the guy what he wanted for them he told me that they were for his neighbor's kids, but for me he says, how about $20.00 U.S. dollars. No arguement there with that kind of price. But again this all comes down to the willingness to look and may even take up a whole day. Sometimes you get lucky and other times you are SOL.

The final few places that I will mention are Garage Sales, Moving Sales, and Estate Sales. I go to these things on a weekly basis and let me tell you, these are great in just maybe attaining a few pieces here and there, altough in some cases LEGO buckets and sets, like the one I went to 2 weeks ago.

Well I hope that helps and happy hunting.

For anyone visiting Ireland the Smyths stores (also operating under the name Ken Black) offer the widest range of Lego at competitive prices. I've discovered that many of the sets are sold below LS@H prices. for example the 6211 Imperial Star Destroyer has been priced at

England -

Hamleys always has some Lego, but at rip-off prices and a very poor selection

Harrods is even more of a rip-off than Hamleys and an even more limited selection

Gamleys is a rip-off of Hamleys but has normal prices, all the same deals as S@H but never seems to have any Castle or Technic :-( It doesn't do the bigger sets either.

Argos has most sets, but few smaller ones

Woolworths is terrible and their service lousy

In Michigan again...

Target- Always have what I am looking for. They even had a full stock of halo 3 and Dwarves' mines!!!

I'll find more...
