So judging by these sets

Anyone whos interested in making a moc about the Battle of Stalingrad are in heaven! :-D

Well I don't want to sound like a history nerd, but the soviet uniforms at Stalingrad were quite different (more brown and with either helmets or those ugly furry hats). And for the nazis, they wore similar uniforms to those seen in the other Indy sets but once again, the coulour schemes were different.

Apart from that.... :-P ! Perhaps one could make an Deutsches Afrikakorps army out of the recent Indy set Nazis instead? The only problem would be the lack of British Army mini figs, but the old adventurer line torso's are a good substitute, though the helmets are harder to make out of Lego elements...

Just to inform you on the movie, Indy will be exploring Atlantis!!!

Uhm... Where does that 'information' come from? People in the know have kept debunking Atlantis rumours for almost 20 years. I've seen no hints towards such explorations on the official site either. Ergo, I think it's unlikely Indy will go to Atlantis in The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

About the uniforms: I think the new (Russian?) ones look fairly nazi-ish. I'll be using them if I ever need nazi's.

From the official pics so far, I'd say Mutt has brown hair. Yet his LEGO version is black-haired. Hm...

Also they wore Pilotka Hats for a very good reference get Call of Duty: Finest Hour!

I got it as a christmas present and you have to work through a Soviet Campaign, Retaking Red Square and the one with Tanya the Sniper Woman you have to shoot around 20 Panzerschrecks with 50 soilders shooting at your warehouse.

I know alot more about the Nazis and Soviets now. Also the British Regiment in Africa 1940.

Brilliant Game. Sorry Im just reviewing now! :-D

You could use the Brim helmet and cut of the chin guard to look like the good old Tommy helmet!

does anyone know if the nazis are in the fourth movie since there seem to be dark gray minifigs in there...

I like what I'm seeing! X-D

No... the new film is set in the 50's as the've wanted to keep with Harrison Ford's age and now the soviets are the token bad guys. The think is... Lucus Arts made an Indiana Jones PC game called Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine about 7/8 years ago and that was set in the late 40's with Indy having to fight the soviets so it feels a bit like the new film is actually drawing from the game.

As someone who's been following spoilers for Indy 4 fairly closely, I can confirm this is correct. Mutt's "greaser" look is also a good indication of the time frame. Perfect of "The Outsiders" MOCs or depicting your favorite Wild One moments! ;-)

These sets really rock my world! Even if they turn out to be crappy at a different perspective,(which I doubt) they come with a wonderful assortment of pieces that remind me of the glory days of the adventurers theme. My favorite has to be the one with the boat, truck, and crcodile. It almost lives up to the truck chase set that recently came out.

Is it just me or are there a few dark brown arches in the set with Marion? I'm really hoping that this colour becomes something of a staple because much like dark green, blue and red it is absolutely amazing. I see so many incredible possibilities for dark brown. The abundance of dark green leaves is also quite exciting. My forests won't be quite so monochromatic in the future.

These sets are definitely on my to get list, regardless of price. LEGO knows me (and my weakness for bricks to well) :-D .

Wow many tks for that pic Eothein ;-) *y* *y* Tks so much for the news of that really anticipated set !!

That is a fantastic set IMO !!

Look at the figs: sweet new hairdo and what a great biker torso *wub* And look all the sweet accessories of that set

* food and a pearl frying pan !!

* magnificant ants !! (an army of those will definitly be on the way !!)

* weapons !! golden katana yeay, pearl shortsword, chrome knives

My only grip would be the lack of a commie fig. A fantastic set and I'll buy several :-P

My thoughts:

Jungle Duel: strange name for a set that doesn't look much like a duel. I'm liking the tent, may have to buy two of these... Two new hair pieces? Gold samurai sword. Not sure I like those new spider/ant pieces. I'd rather they used the old spiders and made a new fez mold.

River Chase: not much to this one. The truck thing still looks very soviet. Looks like some dark brown tree limbs. Still not sure if those crocs are dark green. Not sure I like the light green soviet uniforms. They look too much like pajamas to me.

Jungle Cutter: says Mutt is included, but I don't see him in the picture. I don't like that vehicle much at all. Interesting trees. I like the bionicle vine pieces. Probably the weakest set of the line.

Temple: weird structure. I still can't figure out what the heads of the skeletons are. Nice natives. Not a very impressive set. I hope its not all stickered up, but it probably is...

Thanks for the pic Eothein! I didn't see that!

This little set looks great, I love the tent, and we get two new hair molds, two knives, golden sword, two ants, a chicken leg and a map :'-)
