Posted December 8, 200717 yr After hearing the news that LEGO stores might have some 2008 sets, I took a side trip downtown after work and was treated to a great sight: they had all of the new SW sets! Here's what I picked up (click picture for larger size image): The total haul: 2 Rebel BPs 3 Imperial BPs 1 Rouge Shadow 1 Exo-Force River Dragon 1 Impulse Castle set (soldier only - they didn't have the wizard) 1 new Racer set with the glow-in-the-dark bar pieces The hunt is on! badger
December 8, 200717 yr Author What's the chance of a Rogue Shadow review? :'-) Well, I have a stack of exams I need to have graded by the end of the weekend, but I can have shots of the minifigs up in a few hours if you'd like. Sunday should be more free, so I'll be able to take some nice shots of the build then. badger

December 8, 200717 yr I can just imagine half of EB running off to their nearest TLC... And some coming back to report that their store is slow. :'-( But, that's not all of them- where's the AT-PT? Will Edited December 8, 200717 yr by Mr. Mandalorian
December 8, 200717 yr Author But, that's not all of them- where's the AT-PT? They did have the AT-PT, but since I'm more of a minifig collector and already have enough Red EpIII clones from the Clone Battle Pack, I decided to use those funds for purchasing more Shadow Trooper-goodness! Pics of the figs will be up soon! badger

December 8, 200717 yr I can't believe they used the Diver mask for the helmet! Great pics BTW...Although I'm still very mad they don't have any of them at my Lego store.... *sing*

December 8, 200717 yr I can't believe they used the Diver mask for the helmet! Great pics BTW...Although I'm still very mad they don't have any of them at my Lego store.... *sing* I am surprised too, but I really can't complain; I couldn't tell what it was until someone (I believe Chuck) pointed it out. I thought at the time that it was just for the prototype. Besides; it will be in one set only so making a new piece for one set is a waste of money for Lego. It doesn't change me interest in the set anyway. On other subjects, Juno is a babe! :-D Thanks very much for these photos! *wub*

December 8, 200717 yr this is more related to buying so i will ask the question here. did you get a copy of the store calendar? can you list the special deals for Dec? any good stuff like 20% off *wub* *y*
December 8, 200717 yr What a nice haul! After seeing all of these on eBay, I called the closest LEGO Store to me (about 45 mins.-1 hr drive) and they said they only got 20 in stock, but they were SOLD OUT!
December 8, 200717 yr The aggravating thing about calling them is different associates tell you different things about their holding policies. I just talked to a girl who told me they stop holding product mid-November. I hate to be this guy, but I told her that wasn't true and stuff had been held for me since then. Well, anyway, I want to take in a big haul but can't make it there until Monday. I hope everything is still in stock by then. I think I'll try to call back. The guy I talked to this morning would've held stuff for me if I knew exactly what I was getting...but when I called back I got Mrs. No-hold. |-/ I'll call back in an hour. *sweet* -tee hee!
December 9, 200717 yr Author The aggravating thing about calling them is different associates tell you different things about their holding policies. Whenever this happens, use the magic words: "Can I speak to your manager?" I've worked in retail in the past, and regardless of how insane the request, once it gets to a manager, they'll almost always ok it to keep you happy and willing to come back again to spend more money in their store. badger Edited December 9, 200717 yr by the enigma that is badger
