bj51 Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 Very nice curves, much better than your previous attempt. I'm not a fan of the overly large tires though, I think the regular tires are already large enough.
Jeroen Ottens Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 What can I say, all has been said before me... Brilliant looking car. Does it hurt to part from it? Or have you one copy for yourself?
Meatman Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 Looks good. Much better and improved over the previous model. Very nice curves, much better than your previous attempt. I'm not a fan of the overly large tires though, I think the regular tires are already large enough. Overly large tires?
brunojj1 Posted April 5, 2016 Author Posted April 5, 2016 I'm wondering how many working hours do you spend designing this stunning car. Could you tell us? I won´t tell you . Countless, far too many ... You also mentioned working air brake and diffuser flaps. Any chance of more details on this? Especially diffuser flaps. You mean the mechanism? I don´t know yet if I´ll have the time, give me a few days. I'm not a fan of the overly large tires though, I think the regular tires are already large enough. I would like to cut the front rims to 2/3 of its width and put on a suitable tire instead, if possible! Unfortunately there aren´t any third party rims / tires out there and I don´t get why. 3D printing opens many options, but not out of rubber. Does it hurt to part from it? Or have you one copy for yourself? I can´t share too many details of the agreement. But to answer this good question: it doesn´t hurt to disassemble everything after having a model on the shelf while keeping some kind of good pictures / instructions / memories . And then create some "emptiness" and go on for the next project to get some new excitement! Stay hungry!
Lox Lego Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 (edited) Bruno, would you mind uploading some more photos? These few pics just don't do this car justice... I am in awe of this build. I didn't know what a La Ferrari looked like so I checked it out and this is perfect replica. Edited April 5, 2016 by Lox Lego
Meatman Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 The rear tires. Ah..... I see what you mean now. Looks ok, but overall a bit too much custom for my taste.

Sadly my recently added files on brickshelf aren´t beeing moderated for some unknown reason. Maybe it´s time to move to bricksafe very soon. Hopefully the moderators here don´t mind if I "show off" some more.
2LegoOrNot2Lego... Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 Okay, this might be officially my favorite super car build with Technic... So cool...well done!!!
Jim Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 Wow, you've really captured the lines of the car! I somehow missed it the other day, but I will do some promotion shortly (moving the Bricksafe, or Flickr, is indeed a good idea)
nerdsforprez Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 Who would have thought that Technic could be so much fun to look at. Functional, yes..... but eye candy? You wouldn't have thought that was possible with Technic years ago. However, you have changed all that. Function and beauty. Thank you for changing the whole playing field........ btw..... my only recommendation is to not start a post with the lyric of a Brittany Spears song...... -- kidding

Thanks in advance, I´m curious already! All pictures of this model can be seen at bricksafe here: http://bricksafe.com...nojj1/laferrari You also mentioned working air brake and diffuser flaps. Any chance of more details on this? Especially diffuser flaps. I hope these pictures are helpful to understand the mechanism: Here it is shown upside down: btw..... my only recommendation is to not start a post with the lyric of a Brittany Spears song...... -- kidding The Spritney Bears song starts with "Oops..." - it´s not like that! MaxSupercars Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 Really great looking La Ferrari. You did it again... next masterpiece! Great work! Max
SevenStuds Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 Totally love it! The whole package is stunning! The wheels give it a great aspect of realism. Glad that PoloFreak gave you the idea.
TheItalianBrick Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 What. What. What. You´re maybe right and it deserves 2 Sbricks. Doesn´t matter, it´s done and should be enough. Now you made me really curious! Which part of the real one you were working on if it´s not a secret? (If a secret, please write me a PM anyway ) Not much I can say as these sort of infos are part of the "professional secrecy".....even tho this car has been launched on the market! I just worked on the rear and mostly on the interiors. All design works of course...
drakmin Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 (edited) Outstanding! After 30 minutes of observing the images maybe the front benders are not 100% consistent with rest of the panel work. This might be only me watching 2d photos instead of the real life build. I would not be criticizing unless this build was this perfect :D Btw have you ever tried building imaginary car models? I bet you could shape them beautifully. Please build more! Edited April 6, 2016 by drakmin

I bet you could shape them beautifully. Please build more! Thanks! All honest critics are welcome. If you mean the front fenders made of flex axles being not consistent with the rest - unfortunately I see no other possibility to make curved shapes and cover more gaps in the bodywork. And nothing is perfect, this MOC still isn´t either. A self designed car would be a new challenge for me, I have such idea in mind, but there are several other projects of "real" cars which will come first. And by the way: I remember our short discussion on "traditional" purist supercars without PF - hopefully I have convinced you that there are other options to make them playful and give some realistic touch anyway .
jorgeopesi Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 I took my time, you know me... the rear wheels... but it is a masterpiece anyway, the roof is perfect and without motors would be a masterpiece too. Changing the scale you get more space but the wheels looks small if you see the real one but it is soportable . You help me someway, I can´t build my new car, no inspiration and I had thought rebuild my F40 more simple, without gearbox but rebuilding parts I don´t like too much, like the hood, maybe the competizione version I don´t know, anyway I see is a good idea rebuild a MOC. Build supercars is increasingly difficult, the wheels are getting bigger and leaves us much less room for everything...
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 Amazing shape and perfect lines ...top notch work! I really like the back black fences!
Pvdb Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 Stunning model Brunojj1. I really love the straight on top, front, and rear pictures that you posted. Given that no instructions are allowed the images at least should allow some ideas about how to replicate some of the bodywork ideas.
