julencin2000 Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 (edited) Am I the only one to whom www.castle.lego.com doesn't work? BTW, weird set. Mix between a Star Wars Endor set and LOTR set. LOL. + Edited December 10, 2007 by julencin2000 Quote

julencin2000 Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 Skaven Doom Wheel := 7041 Battle wheel LOL Quote
Derek Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 (edited) WOW! I hope that set is cheap! Wait, what "magazine" is this? Edited December 10, 2007 by darthperson8 Quote
Batbrick Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 WOW! I hope that set is cheap! _________ Good luck! :-P I'm so loving this seige weapon, I love how the orcs and trolls don't have a base, they just destroy everything! *skull* I can definitely imagine a smaller third wheel being at the back for much needed support! :'-) I also count six minifigs, I have no doubts that the middle orc is the king! *wub* Clearly Batbrick's mind has turned to mush! *wacko* Quote
ExoBuilder Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 That looks beautiful! It might be the one Castle set I'll get! :'-) Quote
Lord Of Pies Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 WOW! I hope that set is cheap! Wait, what "magazine" is this? 2008 Aus catalogue, it is mentioned in Aussie Ben's post. BTW great find and welcome to EB!! (In other news: Last night I had a dream that TLC made a Lego impulse set vending machine and I got 50 sets for Quote
Batbrick Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 OOH! I get how the wheel works now! The two Orcs on the side are holding the two axes that come from the central platform! They are turning the wheel by running on it! :-D *wub* Clearly Batbrick's mind has turned to mush! *wacko* Quote
yellost Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 Im so buying it.I dont suppose anyone at Lego had any affinity with the Skaven Doom Wheel: eh? :P - Helden Well, considering their orc --sorry, 'troll warrior'-- flag is screaming WAAAAARGH! I wouldn"t find it too surprising X-D But I'm looking forward to thet set, it still looks great and unusual. Quote
Derek Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 (In other news: Last night I had a dream that TLC made a Lego impulse set vending machine ... That is actually a very good idea! Quote
Visorak-kal Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 (edited) OOH! I get how the wheel works now! The two Orcs on the side are holding the two axes that come from the central platform! They are turning the wheel by running on it! :-D *wub* Clearly Batbrick's mind has turned to mush! *wacko* If they are, they're doing a bad job of it. They're facing forwards, which means the wheel would be going backwards. :-D Seriously, though, I think this set is neat. It's innovative, and I've certainly never seen anything like it, at least not from LEGO. A giant rolling wheel. I can just see the horrified faces of the knights as the wheel comes out to greet them in the middle of a field battle. X-O And six minifigs is a great deal for what looks like a definitely less-than-fifty-dollar set. VK Edited December 10, 2007 by Visorak-kal Quote
Aussie Ben Posted December 10, 2007 Author Posted December 10, 2007 WOW! I hope that set is cheap! Wait, what "magazine" is this? The catalogue (2008 Aus/NZ) first half year arrived with the LEGO club (previously LEGO world club) magazine for December. This magazine is an Aus/NZ specific magazine which comes out every 3 months, as opposed to some other LEGO club magazines in other countries which are every 2 months. And Yes, this is a consumer catalogue and NOT a retailer catalogue as was assumed regarding the images of the "Dwarfs mining" and "bad guy vehicle" that I posted earlier this year...which were in the consumer 2007 (Aus/NZ) 2nd half year catalogue that arrived with june edition of the magazine. RememberTheLittleGuy Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 WOW! It seems really cool *sweet* . Quote

I just get mine from a warehouse (eg K-mart) and normally they are just sitting on the Lego section and they are free! Quote
johnsocal Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 Maybe I should buy 2 of these sets to make a cool 'Troll' 4X4 offroader *sweet* Quote
ExoBuilder Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 Maybe I should buy 2 of these sets to make a cool 'Troll' 4X4 offroader *sweet* I think that would be the ugliest possible Castle thing ever! :-X But still, good idea.....sorta. X-D ;-) Quote
hollisbrick Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 Maybe I should buy 2 of these sets to make a cool 'Troll' 4X4 offroader *sweet* lol that would be somewhat awsome! *y* Quote
Zarkan Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 Now THAT is cool. A giant Ogre wheel of doom is just awesome in my books. *sweet* Great to see TLC's making more castle sets as well, and if there are more just as good as this, only smaller, I may just pick up something. :-) Quote
Piranha Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 IMO, Ugh, thats the most ugliest castle set I have ever seen :-X Reminds me of KK2 and all that crap I don't like it all, why would trolls need a wheel?? Also I would have liked to see more dwarfs than knights Its a huge drop in set design since all the other sets *n* However Thanks for sharing! :-) Wheel Thing Off P Quote
Kliq Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 How cool is this? The whole 'troll-warrior' faction is just getting better and better. LEGO is getting more innovative with smaller details, such as the troll drummer on the ship, and now this battle wheel. Look at all those figs! My gosh, I think I'm going to have to get a job. Quote
iamded Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 Woo! A Crownie barricade! :-D The wheel's pretty hard-core too. X-D And 6 minifigs, sweet! Oh dear. I just realised that thing in the barricade is a catapult. :-| Isn't a giant wheel play-feature enough? ~Peace Quote
LEGO Maniac JEM Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 That battle wheel reminds me of those giant wheels used in medieval times which a person stood inside and walked to power cranes to lift materials to build buildings. Quote
xwingyoda Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 X-D now I get it !! You need 2 goblins to run in order for that thing to move !! That is just hilarious :-D Too bad they don't have any incentive like the big troll with the chicken wing X-D And I don't think that crown rampart will be enough to hold it !! Roll On !! *yoda* Quote
Lord Admiral Helden Ravensdorn Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 Lego has FINIALLY returned to its roots in system sets, IMHO. This. Is. SYSTEM! Quote
