Captain Braunsfeld Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 (edited) We are close to running out of pictures, but ArchitectureFan and Captain Braunsfeld proudly present the next chapter of the Golden Age of Chicken Aviation: (in this case it is a chapter of chicken ballooning) The lava has been designed by ArchitectureFan. The glowing effect was achieved by the use of black light (no photoshop trick). Thanks for watching! Also to be found on flickr. Within the great saga of the "Golden Age of Chicken Aviation" you are here: Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5 Part 6 & 7 Part 8 <-- Edited January 2, 2019 by Captain Braunsfeld (pictures now on Bricksafe instead of flickr) Quote
Iria Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 Noooo! Not another chicken aviator lost. Very nice lava. Quote
dr_spock Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 Oh no. Lava looks nice. I can see the black light in the reflection, no photoshop trick there. Although, it looks like you tried to photoshop out your reflections. Quote
Actor Builder Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 Although, it looks like you tried to photoshop out your reflections. *Scribbles furiously on Microsoft Paint for anonymity's sake* I want to see more fun and wacky vehicles! Quote
Captain Braunsfeld Posted April 9, 2016 Author Posted April 9, 2016 Noooo! Not another chicken aviator lost. Very nice lava. Oh no. Lava looks nice. I can see the black light in the reflection, no photoshop trick there. Although, it looks like you tried to photoshop out your reflections. The reflections are terrible. I also had to do something about them in the other balloon pictures we posted. *Scribbles furiously on Microsoft Paint for anonymity's sake* I want to see more fun and wacky vehicles! Well, this lava scene was one step from the "flame scenario" we had posted the other day. Currently we have one or two more to go but then we have to get some fresh ideas to keep rolling. Let's see. Quote
ArchitectureFan Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 I love the lave effect very much Thanks a lot! Quote
BaneShake Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 Brilliant! And for once, someone remembered convection! Quote
Captain Braunsfeld Posted April 11, 2016 Author Posted April 11, 2016 Brilliant! And for once, someone remembered convection! Thanks - I'll "blame" that on ArchitectureFan Quote
GallardoLU Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 hmm, there is a logical flaw with this build. wouldn't the constant updrafts and heated air prevent the HOT AIR BALLOON from ever landing there in the first place? but in all seriousness this is a great little build, as others have said the lava is looks terrific and so does the balloon. I do wonder will the chickens recover from this tragic loss? Quote
Junior Shark Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 El oh el! The last pictures are awesome. The lava effect is verrry nice. So if this is the Golden Age of chicken aviation, are we ever gonna have a Silver Age? Quote
Captain Braunsfeld Posted April 14, 2016 Author Posted April 14, 2016 hmm, there is a logical flaw with this build. wouldn't the constant updrafts and heated air prevent the HOT AIR BALLOON from ever landing there in the first place? but in all seriousness this is a great little build, as others have said the lava is looks terrific and so does the balloon. I do wonder will the chickens recover from this tragic loss? The first logical flaw is to have chicken aviation at all! El oh el! The last pictures are awesome. The lava effect is verrry nice. So if this is the Golden Age of chicken aviation, are we ever gonna have a Silver Age? Not sure... they went directly from "no aviation" into their "Golden Age" Quote
