CopMike Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 Well done Bonaparte *y*! Now when everything is sorted it Quote
Brickmaster Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 I've been trying to get myself to sort for months, but every time I want to spend time with my lego, I just end up making another moc :-$ Such slow process. It's basically nothing but an idea now, I just hope I can get myself to eventually. Quote
WarnIcarus Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 How much did all of those boxes cost you? I just sorted 1/4 my bricks and I can already see the difference when I build. I only need the right boxes. Quote
Lt. Col. Thok Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 I sorted my bricks once. Never forgave myself, as I sorted them based on whether they were Lego or clone brand. :-P Quote
hoang Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 LEGO fan heaven! loooking forward to your MOC. Quote
Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted March 15, 2008 Author Eurobricks Emperor Posted March 15, 2008 How much did all of those boxes cost you? One box costs between 14 and 18 euro's depending on the model. The total cost must have been a bit more than 500 euro (excluding some spare boxes I have stored in the basement for future expansion). Dude Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 I'm almost done sorting myself. I didn't come out of the dark ages until 4 years ago(with Star Wars being the exception). All I got left is a small bucket a old light grey to sort, but I've had some help. My mother (68 years old) has been helping her adult son sort Lego. It is kinda of a bonding experience for us. It gives her a great excuses to come over ans see her grand son. I'll post pictures when I'm done. Quote
Erdbeereis Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 This is what my goal is to do within the next year or so. I just got into LEGO again last summer and I started making MOCs but all of my pieces are in one big tub and it takes ages to find what i'm looking for. So hopefully pretty soon my LEGO will look relatively organized... Great job! *y* Quote
fugglewyg Posted June 1, 2008 Posted June 1, 2008 I wasn't really sure weather to post this here or in "what did you do today" or "where do your minifigs live" but settled on here in the end. I have just about finished my storage / building area. Up till now i have just sat on the floor and used my lego but now our baby girl is mobile i have to keep the bricks out of her way, so talked my other half into letting me build storage cupboards into one of the alcoves in our living room. So i thought i would post some pics for you. All i gotta do now is a few more rails for the minifigs and actually sort out the other boxes of lego up in the loft at the moment. Then i can get some proper labels printed for the storage drawers... All Closed Up. Normal Doors Open. Drawbridge Door Open. Ready To Build. Minifig Storage. Quote

Karto Posted June 1, 2008 Posted June 1, 2008 Nice job! I finished sorting out my bulk too a few weeks ago. I kept only the mint parts and sorted them by type, color, matter (cellulose, ABS, light ABS) and by age (inner markings / inner structure). I'll sell the used parts soon. I noticed you've got a beamer too. Quote
Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted June 4, 2008 Author Eurobricks Emperor Posted June 4, 2008 I noticed you've got a beamer too. Yes, I'm addicted to my beamer. I'm using bricks to level it Quote

Norro Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 Congrats! (late)... I remember my own "Great sort of 00"... God Bless, Nathan Quote
JimBee Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 Congratulations! That must have been a lot of work, considering how many LEGO bricks you have. Ive just sorted my important pieces. Minifig body parts in one bag, minifig accesories, hair, etc in another, and <insert that tiresome argument> parts and vegetaion in the last. The rest is not worth sorting (only about 2000 loose bricks) and goes in the bin. Quote
