Posted December 14, 200717 yr Well i know we have another review around here but i thought i would add one too, i shall be uploading a lot of pics so this might take awhile X-D Lets start with the figs: Ok heres a group shot of them, have to say i love the new printing on these figs. Now heres my only gripe with the new figs, i have to say i hate the way vaders head sits on the broken helmet. It just dosent look right IMO. Ok well i wont dwell on the figs any longer at this point now lets get on with the build: Your first base bit. This will be your cockpit: Underneath: Your next base part: Building up: Joining the two: Building up again: Your next part: Underneath: Parts attached: Attached to the cockpit: Next part: Now this part was a fun build and colourful: And it goes with this: This yellow piece will allow the bigger piece to move: Covered: Attached to the other part: Opened....closing...and shut: Attached: Next base part: The ships laser guns: Back to the base: Building up again: One part of the ships hull: Underneath the hull: Hull attached: Hull built up: Reverse side: Attached to the cockpit: Time to start a new again: With missiles: Time to cover them up: Time to attach again: New again: Underneath: Missiles attached to ship and ready to fire: Starting again, how many times have i said that? X-D New gun holders: Your part with gun holders attached: Step by step: Next hull part: Underneath this part of the hull: Attached to the base part: Open hull: The main base of the ship assembled: More lasers to hunt those escaping jedi!!! First ships leg, you will need 4 of these: All 4 attached to the ship: All hull parts open:
December 14, 200717 yr Author Now the crap: Yes that's right we have one of those damn shooting pieces, oh and here's where it goes: Your first wing part: Building it up: Side view of where the wings will go: Front shot of the ship: Wing attachments, these go over the axle parts on either side of the ship: Like this: This turns with great ease: Next wing attachment, these will hold the 2 wing pieces on the right side of the ship: Next part for the attachment: Fully built and ready to hold the wings: Next wing: Building the wing up again: Now here you can see just how the wings are held: First wing attached to the ship, it holds on really well: Now for the left side: Next wing attachments: First part of left wing: Built up once again: Underneath the left wing: And finally the ship is complete: Inside the ships cockpit, as usual this needs some work. Once again lego has decided to cut costs with its content: The figs proudly stand besides the empires new starship: And finally heres a shot of the Rogue Shadow next to anakins new starfighter: Ok so overall i like this set, sure it has a few bad points like that darn shooting missile. But the littel moving wings and secret gun holders more than makes up for this, the set itself is well put together and wont fall apart. Once you get over the different wings you kinda get used to them, as the design of this ship is really strange i think lego did there very best. Right well thats enough from me at this point, im sorry if some of the pics are not too clear. Any pic requests are welcome.
December 14, 200717 yr Thank you for the review. I am starting to like this ship more and more. The aprts look useful, all the black slope pieces and I *wub* the new figs.
December 14, 200717 yr Author Lt. Veers and Exo-Builder i removed your posts so that the review ran in one, so could i ask you both to please post again. :-)
December 14, 200717 yr A very interesting set with cool MFs and a pretty unusual and fresh little star ship. Better than I thought when I
December 14, 200717 yr Very nice review - thanks ya. Looks like an interesting ship, but my only inquery is (sorry if I missed it) can it hold all 3 figs?
December 14, 200717 yr Cool! How much does it cost? *praying its not $100* :-P OK Vader. Thanks for the review! It looks like a nice set. Cyclone titan: I think the price is 50$ *sweet*
December 14, 200717 yr Author Very nice review - thanks ya. Looks like an interesting ship, but my only inquery is (sorry if I missed it) can it hold all 3 figs? Nope it can only hold 1 and even that's pushing it :-/
December 14, 200717 yr Ah sweet review mate, much obliged ;-) Now that's what I call a thorough review 8-
December 14, 200717 yr hmmn i may get two and make an unholy offspring, the same but instead of the right hand side i will reverse a second engine pod. did that make sense? *vader* great review btw steel...
December 14, 200717 yr Eurobricks Emperor I can't believe the amount of pictures that are in this review :-D Scrolling through the pics, it feels like I'm building this myself. Great detail! An asymmetrical ship... looks a bit strange. I don't remember this one from the movies 8-|
December 14, 200717 yr I don't remember this one from the movies 8-| Because it isn't from the movies, its from the force unleashed game thats going to be released soon
December 15, 200717 yr An asymmetrical ship... looks a bit strange. I don't remember this one from the movies 8-| Off course not since its taken from the upcomming video games "The Force Unleashed" ;-) *yoda*
December 15, 200717 yr Author I can't believe the amount of pictures that are in this review :-D Scrolling through the pics, it feels like I'm building this myself. Great detail! An asymmetrical ship... looks a bit strange. I don't remember this one from the movies 8-| I can't believe i took so many and then spent the best part of 2 hrs uploading them to BS *wacko* , Still it was worth it. Oh and i forgot to mention that this set has 2 instruction booklets, but on the plus side the bags are numbered which makes the build alot easier. One problem i do have though is that i have 3 stickers (all the empire symbol), yet it only shows where to place 1 in the booklets. :-/
December 15, 200717 yr You lucky BEEEP and your starfighter ship. :-P Interesting set. Indeed there are some bad points, and I don't know how the ship looks in the game, but it's pretty nice. *vader* : Can we get more general pics out of you? :-) Will
December 15, 200717 yr You sure are very patience Vader, you took a pic one after another. Thanks for your hardworking effort
December 15, 200717 yr Author *vader* : Can we get more general pics out of you? :-) Will What pics did you want Will?
December 15, 200717 yr It's truly beautiful, dear friend! *wub* *wub* Thanks for the great review. I love those figs and although I'm not an EU fan, this is such a great SW/Space MOC pack! Hey, look at us! EB has all these great exclusive reviews. X-D X-D X-D That was a very thorough review, Vader. Thanks again. *sweet* *y*
December 15, 200717 yr Well to be honest, I'm disapointed. I was hoping for an interior and expecting that it would hold all three mini-figs. :'-( I'm not even sure if you could give it an interior without a complete redesign. Even so, I think the ship looks pretty cool, and I love the figs... especially Juno! *wub* (I get excited by boobies on mini-figs; am I sick? :-D ) Since this set will probably cost $120 AUD I can't see myself buying it. Thanks very much for an excellent review Vader. I was stunned how many photos you took! 8-
