A great review Doctor Sinister. What a beautifull set *wub* ! Both the truck and the jeep are like stunning MOCs somebody worked for hours on. The whole indy line is looking very good!

I love the design of that car...and at US $20.99, it's a nicely priced army builder.

Of course, it'll be a Nazi army that I'm building, which is...disturbing, but I'll TAKE IT!

I'll melt all their faces with the Ark of the Covenant anyway...

Actually it's US $30.99 in TRU ($29.99 elsewhere). Still a great set, though.

A very minor point -- The only thing I was disappointed in was that there's only one set of coins. The box shows more than four coins, but oh well. (I really like the coins, BTW :-) )

I understand where you're coming from, and I sort of agree with you, but I don't think it's quite fair to say this is an "army truck set." This is a set that depicts one of the most iconic scenes from one of the most popular movies ever. Yes, it's a scene that just happens to have an army truck in it, but that's not the point of the set, in the same way that, say, the Best Lock sets were designed primarily as miliary vehicles. I know, it's just semantics, but I think there's a difference.

Besides, in the last 20 years, TLC has made sets with: swords, spears, halberds, sabers, flintlocks, muskets, scimitars, laser blasters, bows, crossbows, catapults, pistols, rifles, battle axes, flails, scythes, cannons, clubs, and knives. Does this Indiana Jones set cross some invisible line that they didn't cross years ago?? The TLC "non violence" policy has ALWAYS been a big joke. Violence and conflict have been at the heart of Lego theme design for decades now.

Anyway ... looks like a fun set, thanks for the pictures!

So many Lego weapons! Must hide from evil! :-P

Thanks for the list, didn't t know there were SO MANY! Now that I think about it, I have almost one of every sort (except for a catapult which I don't know how because lego throws one in in practically every set :-| , though I should get the sail barge for the Bobapult X-D ) Now, I shall use these weapons to take over the world! Mwhahahah!!!! But TLC has't made the 2 ultimate weapons, the SPORK and the MUFFIN (or M00FIN, whicchever way is fine *skull* ) When lego makes molds for these two, then we can say they've gone wrong ;-)

What an amazingly beautiful set thank you so much Dr S for reviewing it! It has to be the nicest set i've seen in a long long time and I'll buy it the moment I see it in the shops!

I like the way all of the soldiers have different fleshy heads ulinke in most of the SW sets where all the fleshies are just smileys! :-D *y*

Once again thank you Dr S
