Saw all four of these at Toys R Us (in Salt Lake City) yesterday, but as I was grabbing them, my wife said, "if you want to ruin your own Christmas that badly, you just keep putting those in the cart"...so I rather sheepishly returned them to the shelf.

That had better mean that she's getting them for me. She's hard to read when there are lighting bolts coming out of her eyes. And flames coming out of her mouth. And Wolverine claws shooting out of her arms. I love that woman. *wub*

Point is, they're popping up everywhere. Yay!

I got this on Dec. 24 at the world's largest TRU, (you know, the NY one) because it's a bit close(although the parking is another story). They had all 4 Indiana sets there, and I bought this one. It really is a nice set, but they could have replaced the treasure box with 4 or 6 connected boxes(like the one in the motorcycle chase), and it could have had a better name. It's my favorite set so far for this year (08)

I just got this set yesterday, but i've made some changes to it right away! X-D

First off, as mentioned earlier, there ought to be an ark in the cargo truck, not a treasure chest. :-P

So i did what any rational MOCer would do and put in my own ark. *y*

I took some pics, here they are:

First off, here's whats supposed to be in the ark besides coins and jewels |-/ . From left to right, we got the original 10 commandments in two tablets, Moses staff (flag pole that broke years and years ago :-D ), and some Mana that the Israelites ate in the desert. (although there is some debate as to whether or not the staff and manna are still in the ark 8-| )

Wow... those sets look fantastic, been a huge Indy fan for a million years. It's interesting to see that Lego are doing with Indiana Jones the same thing they did with Star Wars - that they are making sets based on the original movies as well as the newer films.

I couldn't agree more. This set is simply great. They are being released in Singapore as offer items making them close to US retail, as such, I got 5 of these. Just need to have those trucks and armored car for my little army. >:-)

Yesterday I got the Classic Adventures Collection via S@H. After having built the truck, I watched the scene from Raiders. The attention to detail of the set is stunning. The uniforms of the notzi's are quite movie-correct. I love the possibility to have Indy grab onto different parts of the truck to 'slide underneath it'. Both vehicles look excellent. As I said before, this was also a great opportunity for me to get Viktor Krum and J. Jonah Jameson faces. I hope the brilliant designers of the Indy sets got a pay rise, they deserve a bonus!

The new Indy sets are some of the best I've seen from Lego, really inspiring. After seeing the initial pictures I knew I had to get this set first... and so it's in the post from S@H now! Can't wait 'til it arrives :-D

Ok, I just opened the box of that set and checked the parts list and I am pissed off at the amount of reddish brown and tan in that set >:-( So before I'l build that set, I'll have to find replacement parts |-/ When will TLC stop filling cool sets with tan and/or blue :-|

EDIT: I finished building the set and I simply love it !!! wow really a fantastic set. The only thing I didn't like is the place of the gun on the car: I placed it in the middle and added 2 studs high and I added a handle. I think it looks way beter ;-)

i wish this set came with Belloq and Teth with a car in the front. I don't mind being the set 5-10 dollars more. They also could have put some people in the back of truck.
