JJ2 Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 Looks so good with the white-blue color scheme and 3rd party tires. I was impressed with the performance, how fast did the 4 buggy motors drain the batteries? Quote

MikeTwo9398 Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 I saw this beast in the beginning of the movie of topic [MOD] Dodge T-Rex 6x6 Friends Edition and was wondering if it ever showed up in a seperate topic. And here it is.... mighty, excellent build. Quote

nerdsforprez Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 (edited) Any update on the gearing on this beast? I'm curious. So slow (appropriately so...i.e. Not a bad thing) on buggy motors I bet the gearing is something crazy. Edited April 19, 2016 by nerdsforprez Quote

So slow (appropriately so...i.e. Not a bad thing) on buggy motors I bet the gearing is something crazy. All that I have at the moment - this picture from Sariel's calculator: The only adjustment - in-wheel-reductor gear ratio is 4:1, not 3:1 So we have about 530 N*cm torque in total. For example, Madoca's 8x8 Tatra has 725 N*cm and weighs more than twice less Edited April 19, 2016 by SilenWin Quote
nerdsforprez Posted April 20, 2016 Posted April 20, 2016 thanks. I had the feeling that it was something quite extreme. This really is a great model. and btw... the first pic, with the light coming through the tires, IMO one of the best pics of a technic MOC I have seen out there..... Quote
