April 17, 20168 yr Looks so good with the white-blue color scheme and 3rd party tires. I was impressed with the performance, how fast did the 4 buggy motors drain the batteries?

April 17, 20168 yr Wow! I thought the first picture was the original and the following pictures the Lego version. Looking closely I noticed the lego parts. :-)
April 17, 20168 yr That is sure a beauty! Can you share a bit more details on the construction/features?
April 18, 20168 yr Very cool truck! Size is impressive, performance as well, details are very good and photography is great. Please share the underside shot, it would mean a lot to us :)

Here is some early WIP photos Truck WIP by Alexey Tikhvinsky, on Flickr Truck WIP by Alexey Tikhvinsky, on Flickr Truck WIP by Alexey Tikhvinsky, on Flickr At the last photo you can see that the entire structure is modular. The motors are mounted from the bottom, between the back and front parts, you can see black-red-grey module in the center of the photo. Was that a lizard at the very beginning of the video? Yes, it is
April 18, 20168 yr I've already said that I like it, but I'm really impressed by the performance!! Really a good job!
April 18, 20168 yr This is an excellent build! Cool you used someone else's design and took it your own way... Brilliant, it performs excellently well...!!!
April 18, 20168 yr I saw this beast in the beginning of the movie of topic [MOD] Dodge T-Rex 6x6 Friends Edition and was wondering if it ever showed up in a seperate topic. And here it is.... mighty, excellent build.

April 19, 20168 yr Any update on the gearing on this beast? I'm curious. So slow (appropriately so...i.e. Not a bad thing) on buggy motors I bet the gearing is something crazy. Edited April 19, 20168 yr by nerdsforprez
April 19, 20168 yr Author Any update on the gearing on this beast? I'm curious. So slow (appropriately so...i.e. Not a bad thing) on buggy motors I bet the gearing is something crazy. All that I have at the moment - this picture from Sariel's calculator: The only adjustment - in-wheel-reductor gear ratio is 4:1, not 3:1 So we have about 530 N*cm torque in total. For example, Madoca's 8x8 Tatra has 725 N*cm and weighs more than twice less Edited April 19, 20168 yr by SilenWin
April 20, 20168 yr thanks. I had the feeling that it was something quite extreme. This really is a great model. and btw... the first pic, with the light coming through the tires, IMO one of the best pics of a technic MOC I have seen out there.....

April 21, 20168 yr This MOC is utterly massive, and beautifully done. That's one grumpy cat you've got there too

April 21, 20168 yr Limited slip diffs were invented by efferman, I used his axle design as basic structure. O, I missed that...thanks! Well using a great idea someone else came up with is better then coming up with something that is less... Edited April 21, 20168 yr by 2LegoOrNot2Lego...
