Great review WhiteFang! It was a little wordy, but I really love the pictures of wacky situations with the characters. :sweet: My favorite minifigs of the bunch are Syndrome and Ariel. Now, I haven't seen some of the movies these are based off of, but some of these figures look odd. Maleficent and Buzz are great too... but seeing as they already made a Buzz head, this one looks strange. :hmpf_bad:

Brilliant review as always.

Top notch reviews from Whitefang and you never disappoint us.

Many of us have been waiting for this review with bated breath and it's worth the wait.

I have read other site reviews but they are are average and staid

Nothing really compares to the different shots/angles and especially comparisons that you make and the scenarios with other similarly themed minifigures.

Loving the tail accessory for Daisy and Donald myself and if I were to only get one minifig from the series, it would have to be Ariel.

But it really bugs me that they put a seashell and gem as Ariel's accessory instead of a fork (aka dinglehopper) or Sebastian.

-->Your photo of Ariel with Sebastian is stellar :) and gives me ideas...

Man, this review is great. Now, all of your reviews are great, but still...

If I had money, I'd definitely get the whole box set off of Shop@Home. And if I had more money, and the Cinderella Castle is real, I would by that too, because the mental image of Mr Incredible and Syndrome battling it out on one of the spires of the castle is awesome.

But I don't have money. So I'll probably only be able to pick up a couple of these.

Thanks again, Fangy!

Your photos are outstanding as usual. It is fun looking at all the comparisons you show with other figs. Usually it is not a combination I would have thought of, but it works well.

While I am more a fan of the older, unlicensed CMF series, this one looks pretty tempting.

We appreciate the huge amount of time it must take to produce a review like this.

This is the first minifig line I'm completing. XD I'd actually love to get an extra piece of Ariel's hair to make a better Mary Jane minifig.

Another stellar review, WhiteFang! It just makes me want to get that Maleficent figure even moreso! I love how you mixed in the BBT figures, especially the one with Raj and Aladdin.

Great review as always.

As for the loose skirt on Minnie I've had a similar issue with my Alice, when I move her legs the skirt becomes loose. Her hair likewise has weak clutch power, I mean it still clutches some, but nowhere near as much as other hairpieces. I'm curious if anyone else is having issues with these two parts or if it's just me?

I've had very weak haripiece clutch power with a few minifigs now.

Very detailed as always. I appreciate all of them but I won't buy them all. The proportion issues bothers me a lot and I think there are questionable decisions why some characters look weird. Well, to each his own.

Thanks whitefang for the entertaining and informative review, you have certainly created your own unique style of CMF review over the years, I hope you will continue this great tradition of CMF review over here in eb.

I didn't like the Simpsons series licensed CMFs but I love this new Disney licensed CMF series. My daughter is going to go crazy when she gets them.

Can a box actually be purchased from shop.lego.com? I don't see it on the site at the moment. I assume that ordering 60 of these from the listing page would not be the same thing.

Thank you everyone for your encouraging and thoughtful comments. It is certainly nice to read all of these and I am very happy to know that you enjoyed this review. This is important as much as I put time to make this review possible.

I was thinking that they should have given Aladdin a different baseplate. They should have printed it, like it was the flying carpet. Missed opportunity right there. I think a lot more people would have wanted that boring Aladdin.

Yes, a flying carpet will be real good.

Mind me asking, how compatible are the bows and dondalds gat with the friends hairpieces?

Yes, they can be integrated with LEGO Friends. I have just tried Daisy Duck's ribbon and put it on top of Mia.

Why does Peter pan have pointy ears? Wasnt he a human boy who lives in netherland?

I not sure as well. From what I understand, there are a few different adaptions.

The LEGO Shop description is already up

Thank you, updated and included in the review.

But it really bugs me that they put a seashell and gem as Ariel's accessory instead of a fork (aka dinglehopper) or Sebastian.

I was thinking the same but I didn't want to harp on that point, especially when the overall series is severely lacking of minifigures' accessories.

As others have noted, it seems not only possible but fairly likely that Disney itself refused to have any of its characters relegated to being mere accessories to other characters. If this is the case, it would preclude Sebastian, Flounder, Scuttle, Flotsam, Jetsam, Abu, the flying carpet, Pluto, or any other such characters from making it in. TLG may well not have been able to include them that way, whether it wanted to or not. They were fine with doing it with The Simpsons as well as their own non-licensed series, but each license is different.

That said, it's true we don't know for sure that's the case. Maybe we'll see secondary figure accessory characters in Series 2?

With previous Minifigures series, they've typically limited purchases to 16 per order. I'd expect them to either maintain that limit here, or expand it to 18 (to allow for at least a small possibility of getting all 18 at once). Whatever the limit, I do expect them to have one, and that it won't be anywhere close to 60, so that if you want to just buy a whole box, you'll probably need to go to some other retailer.

I really really hope that last question in the poll is just a filler question or something because I'm always looking forward to read this CMF's reviews

I hope we'll get the Series 16 and Series 17 reviews

WhiteFang,

Excellent review as always. While I personally do not have much, if any interest in this series there are a few things that struck me. Is it just me or am I feeling old but I was under the impression that Minnie Mouse wore red with white polka-dots. Did something change without me noticing? Moving on I would have preferred a smaller Cheshier Cat but oh well. Lastly 18? Mmm... Perhaps the top brass only gave their stamp-o-approval for one series so it was a mad race to see what made the cut and what got, well, cut. (Or I could be wrong and this is but the tip of the ice berg...)

The Genie? Ah yes, the Genie. Robin Williams; you got your Minifig!

Apparently, this Minnie Mouse is following the colour scheme for the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse series.
