Captain Green Hair Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 Ahoy mateys, I present you the new brig el Matador for Eslandola. She has 14 guns and is under the command of captain Pedro Cabral. The ship is build to escort the trade routes and I will license it as a class 4A as soon as I get enough money. First up a shot of the entire ship, I think the lines are quite nice and I really like the medium dark flesh colour! A bit closer The stern Detail on the bow A birds eye Detail of the masts and rigging Captain Cabral and some of Eslandola's finest The gun crews below deck work hard To deliver a full broadside I hope you like it, may she have good fortune in battle! kabel Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 Ahhh, the Master has struck again! Everything two masted have actually been my favourite ships ever snince I got into ships as a ten year old. It'd be a burden to mention everything I like about this typing on a tablet, so I'll just say that I love it and that I'm looking forward to see her sailing alongside my schooner at the BMA! Quote
TitusV Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 Lovely ship, I especially like the stern and the rigging is just marvellous! Quote
Kai NRG Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 Really pretty ship here, the shape is great and I love the colors you've used! Rigging and sails are great as well! Quote

Kwatchi Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 Wow. Just spent 10 minutes staring at the pictures trying to discern techniques I can emulate. The details in the rigging are great. Quote
Capt Wolf Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 That's a great looking brig! And the sails and rigging are amazing! I have to study this one closely! Quote
Capn Frank Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 Great looking vessel Captain. Your rigging and sails are superb. May her prizes be plentiful, and none of them mine. Quote
Captain Braunsfeld Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 Aah, the sails, the rigging, the overall design - excellent job, fellow-captain! A true masterpiece! Quote
Bregir Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 This is fantastic, Captain. I am loving the rake of her mainmast! Amazing overall shape of the hull, with a brilliant rudder and cabin. The beakhead is brilliant too, and I love how you have included guns along her entire length. And the rigging is just perfect - Shrouds and stays are brilliant, and I absolutely love the tackles for lifts and braces. I most certainly have to take a look in my technic collection for a few of those bricks! The three-part masts are great too, and generally, there are details to appreciate everywhere. I can hardly find room for improvement, so instead I will ask you - what would you like to improve? Quote
Tezclatipoca Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Excellent brig Captain ! I love the sails you made and that rigging... Once again, you proved you are a ship master ! Good job ! On another hand, your Matador will have soon a Toro to chase... Quote
Admiral Bejaune Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 It's so good to see a new ship from you. And of course it doesn't disappoint. The sails are perfect in color and shape and the skin color strake is perfect. It's always great seeing a build from a master builder and a great friend. Long live the CGH technique! Quote
Captain Becker Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 This ship is just.... Magnificently awesome! My words just fail me when I try to describe it in more detail. Everyhting is just as they should be! Q: What brick did you use between the stern windows? It looks like 2877 brick, but cut in half? Fair winds and calm seas! Yours truly: Captain Becker Quote
Garmadon Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 Brilliant ship, Captain Green Hair, awesome color-scheme, and fantastic work with the sails and rigging! Really a beautiful ship! Quote
Mpyromaxos Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 Great ship! I like especially the stern and the rigging! Fantastic job! Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted April 29, 2016 Author Posted April 29, 2016 Thank you for all the kind words guys, I really appreciate it! This ship is just.... Magnificently awesome! My words just fail me when I try to describe it in more detail. Everyhting is just as they should be! Q: What brick did you use between the stern windows? It looks like 2877 brick, but cut in half? Fair winds and calm seas! Yours truly: Captain Becker Yes I ''invented'' that 1x1 grille brick and asked for it in the embassy forum. Can't you see the awesome possibilities in ships and buildings? Perhaps I should start a campaign again, just like I did for the 1x3 tile. Quote
Captain Dee Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 Fantastic vessel! Her lines are lovely, the colorscheme catching and the masts and rigging just about perfect. She's a very well-balanced design all the way around, and both bow and stern look really good at that scale. The level of detail is just excellent. Good work. Quote
