ecmo47 Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 (edited) While looking for Tim Goddard's Millennium Falcon design, I ran across his Y-wing design which is about the right scale. ywings2 by Tim Goddard, on Flickr ....and the rest of the classic fighters from Tim: xwing2 by Tim Goddard, on Flickr bwing5 by Tim Goddard, on Flickr awproto3 by Tim Goddard, on Flickr Edited May 5, 2016 by ecmo47 Quote
billdozer Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 (edited) What an amazing MOC. Question - will the instructions call out the ones that can be any color because they won't be visible? Edited May 6, 2016 by billdozer Quote
mortesv Posted May 7, 2016 Author Posted May 7, 2016 These are great designs ecmo. I am familar with Tim's work though - and I am trying to tweak these to go with the Neb. They are pretty close to scale. I don't know that little semi cone piece he uses though. Billdozer - many of the internal bricks can be any colour, but many of them has to be grey because parts of them will be seen. I am not sure if the instructions will say any colour. Quote
ecmo47 Posted May 7, 2016 Posted May 7, 2016 (edited) It looks the end of part #73590c01a (Hose, Flexible 8.5L with Tabless Ends (Ends same color as Tube)) http://alpha.brickli...age?id=1611#T=C Which I see is part #752 (White Hose, Flexible 8.5L, End 1 x 1 x 2/3 Tabless) http://www.bricklink...P=752&colorID=1 I'll have to add that to my "always-look-for-to-add-to-an-order" list! I think that I would use the lever base (#4592) for the front of the y-wing engine and they are more dome shaped. https://alpha.brickl...page?P=4592#T=C Edited May 13, 2016 by ecmo47 Quote
baciccia78 Posted May 7, 2016 Posted May 7, 2016 (edited) Great job mortesv! mortesv Posted May 8, 2016 Author Posted May 8, 2016 Yeah ecmo, my thoughts exactly on the 4592. Right now I am trying the reverse engineer the B-wing :) Quote

mortesv Posted May 12, 2016 Author Posted May 12, 2016 June 1st is still the target date. The model will also come with a range of scale ships: Falcon X-wings Y-wings A-wings B-wings Tie Fighters Cheers :) Quote
Bob De Quatre Posted May 12, 2016 Posted May 12, 2016 As long as there is a B-wing, that's fine! Quote

fatum Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 Could you give the part number for the transparant tubes where the model sits on? My search-fu is lacking. Quote
mortesv Posted May 23, 2016 Author Posted May 23, 2016 Could you give the part number for the transparant tubes where the model sits on? My search-fu is lacking. It is 85941 Cylinder Half 2 x 4 x 5 Still adding a few more details to the model :) Quote
polarstein Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 When I've first seen this, I already thought it's an absolutely crazy MOC with stunning amount of detail. Now you keep improving it even further, great attention to detail! All those ships flying around it in micro scale are perfect to increase the impression of the enormous size, WOW! Quote
AlecLantz Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 All those little ships flying around it really make this thing come alive! absolutely fantastic! Quote
