xboxtravis7992 Posted May 8, 2016 Posted May 8, 2016 After watching the movie I'd say Lego did it highly accurate for the most part. Although many of the vehicles where a bit "Legofied" every set relates to a specific scene from the film. All we lack now is proper Hawkeye, Spider-Man, and a Vision re-release and we have the entire cast of the film. Quote
Bricky Dee Williams Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 Just got back from the film: The least accurate set, by far, is the Panther Jet Pursuit. The truck in the Hazard Heist is a glaring inaccuracy, though not completely in all of its aspects. As for the Airport Battle, the only innacuracy is Sharon Carter"s presence. Quote
Butterfingers27 Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 Yeah, it's def. a nice build. I thought the movie was amazing. Here's my review (both Spoiler Free and with Spoilers -- 2 separate sections clearly marked): How have you altered Cap's maskless face? I've taken a pencil eraser to a few with success, but don't know if there's an easier/better way. Quote
Jbricks Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 Everything in the sets appears in some form in the movie. So, satisfied. Quote
samurai-turtle Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 Just got back from the film: The least accurate set, by far, is the Panther Jet Pursuit. As for the Airport Battle, the only innacuracy is Sharon Carter"s presence. That set should of had Ironman in it. That was a the only time you see the jet. If they wanted another vehicle the helicopter makes sense for the set. Carter should of been replaced with Vision. He was their during fight. Quote
HawkLord Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 The sets were probably accurate for the time Lego recieved prelims to work off of. Plus, I'm sure they felt like adding Carter to ensure all the female characters were covered and there wasn't another good spot for her in the other sets. Overall, the Black Panther jet is the least accurate and least desirable. Cap and Winter Soldier appear elsewhere and BP looks very plain. WS could have had civilian clothes and BP could have had an alt head to help. Quote
GoldenNinja3000 Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 Not accurate at all. The sets don't even include Lee or Sherman or anybody important! The sets had a decent rate of accuracy and who is Lee and Sherman? No one in the movie is named that. Also, the important characters are the heroes and we got all of them except for Spider-Man, Hawkeye, and Vision. Quote
IMBATMAN Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 I'm reading through these posts on Black Widow's hair, and aren't majority of these pointing towards Agent 13's hair? As I'm looking at the pictures of the popstar and others, I see no differences between Agent 13's hair and the Popstar's. Is there something different that I'm missing? Quote
Agent Kallus Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 (edited) who is Lee and Sherman? I'm pretty sure that this is an United states civil war joke I feel that they should have made King Charles and Oliver cromwell Also I agree that the panther set would have been better if the truck was swapped for a helicopter and zemo and stark replace Bucky and Steve but the chopper would probably need more pieces and if its a captain america movie then he should be in the most sets not iron man (thought in that cases spiderman could replace iron man in the airport battle and a fourth set with cap, hawkeye ,antman,Ross and vision based in the avengers institute building replicating multiple scenes could be made for £40. ) Edited May 10, 2016 by AgentKallus of Hydra Quote

No, I think it's the same piece... Bricklink lists the pieces as the same design & colour, anyway. Nice to be able to get it in a new set, since I missed the early CMF series'. Quote

Those are the same, but the only person who mentioned Pop Star specifically was CM4Sci, and he was specifically saying they shouldn't use that color of hair. Most people (myself included) want that hair in Dark Orange, but it doesn't exist. Enforcer Zer0 wanted that hair in Reddish Brown, and it doesn't exist either. Quote
Butterfingers27 Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 Widow's hair is longer and parted slightly on her left this movie. I actually just swapped the hair with her Avengers figure, as she had the shorter bob (similar to AoU) in it. Quote
PicnicBasketSam Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 The airport battle is very accurate, except for Sharon's inclusion... but why did they feel the need to throw in that luggage cart? I don't think that was in the movie. Crossbones' Hazard Heist is OK... the truck doesn't look like an actual Humvee, but everything's there. Black Panther Pursuit doesn't really make any sense to the movie-- Black Panther's plane and the fight between him, Cap, and Bucky are completely different scenes, and I don't remember the Jeep being there at all. I would have liked to see a playset of part of the Raft with Stark-pooping chopper, Hawkeye, Ant-Man, Stark, mask-less Black Panther, and Secretary Ross for maybe $50. Quote
TheAmazingDarkKnight Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 (edited) but why did they feel the need to throw in that luggage cart? Personally I use it as a landing pad for Spider-Man. Not a perfect fit, nor is it entirely accurate, but it serves its purpose. Plus it provides more scenery to the airport, which is A-OK with me. Edited May 11, 2016 by TheAmazingDarkKnight Quote
DJ Bricks Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 I don't understand the point of this. Why are we comparing the sets to the movie? Of course there's gonna be inaccuracies, Lego receives movie info a year in advance to start making sets, way before a movie starts production. Things change by the time a film hits the silver screen. So maybe the were told the Panther Pursuit was important and so was the jet, so they decided to place the jet in the set. I just hate that when sets based on an upcoming film are released and we see said film, the sets get crucified. Last year with the Jurassic World sets was the absolute worst! Quote
GoldenNinja3000 Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 I wouldn't have minded Black Widow being in her Age of Ultron suit if we at least got longer hair for her. Also, I really wish they would've done a huge Avengers Academy set with all the heroes in civilian clothes. They could've put in features like a trapdoor to simulate the scene where Wanda shoves Vision down through the floors. Also, it would be the perfect set to include Ross in. Quote

I get that, I do it myself, it cool to do so and see if something is in the film. But at the end of the day recognize these things are bound to be different. What annoys me to no end is the comparison between the two and they expect to be completely accurate . Quote
Agent_of_Nothing Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 Personally, although it would have raised the piece count and the price, I think the luggage cart should have been replaced with a "water" truck. Quote
sander1992 Posted May 12, 2016 Posted May 12, 2016 That was fun with the "water"truck. I am also surprised that the sets are quite accurate. The Jeep of the Black Panther set and the crossbones set are not present in the film. The minifig selection is really great and accurate except Agent 13 of course. Quote
xboxtravis7992 Posted May 12, 2016 Posted May 12, 2016 Yeah I just bought the Panther set, not that it is accurate to one scene of the film, but contains multiple parts needed for various scenes. Take the truck, and maybe give Bucky some civilian clothes and you have the chase scene to a t. The jet then shows later in the movie, I just wish we had Tony's helicopter to escort it. Quote

For Tony's helicopter, I would use the helicopter from 60009, just with out the police stickers. http://brickset.com/sets/60009-1/Helicopter-Arrest Quote

Agent 13 is probably the only minifigure that doesn't really work for me. The hair is too far off, as mentioned previously. I almost think a straighter hair style, like on Ginny Weasley could work. I almost think a straighter hair style, like on Ginny Weasley could work. I can understand that. It's like they've made the hair suit her appearance from The Winter Solider (to which it's pretty spot on to be fair). But I'm not a huge fan of Ginny Weasley's fair piece either Quote
