June 4, 20168 yr I would not wait over a year for that to become a product. What a waste. hopefully we don't have a repeat of the Ghostbusters incident again :P Might happen again with an upcoming set (or 2) though maybe not to that scale.
June 5, 20168 yr Some of these make me question Humanity's intelligence. I wonder how many of these were trolls. This one even admitted to being a troll: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/142545/ Why does it have supporters?! Every comments stream thus far I've seen a comment from Clinton the 4th, what is it that makes him want to support EVERY single products? If Lego released a tenth of ideas on this normally they'd become bankrupt! Sorry little rant... Anywho, who doesn't want Lego fruit? https://ideas.lego.com/projects/122453 I just commented on the project to inform them of the rumors. I hope they realize the official Castle set was in development before they built their MOC and hopefully we don't have a repeat of the Ghostbusters incident again :P Now if it was the Disneyland castle instead of the Disney World one that is what the rumored set will be, I'd have likely supported it. Just a shame no ones acknowledged your post... Edited June 5, 20168 yr by Duncan Young
June 10, 20168 yr I would not wait over a year for that to become a product. What a waste. Might happen again with an upcoming set (or 2) though maybe not to that scale. I choose to believe this is your way of hinting that Voltron is happening. ;)
June 10, 20168 yr Why would any one buy this? https://ideas.lego.com/projects/143886 Mom always said don't mow the lawn in the house 10/10 who wouldn't buy a set based of the family in two stupid dogs (yes I know tsd made fun of tbb im joking) https://ideas.lego.com/projects/143884
June 10, 20168 yr Sorry for laying on this Clinton fellow, however he just probably shouldn't support every single idea on the site and choose ones wisely...
June 10, 20168 yr ^^That one made in Build With Chrome posted on the first couple pages... that didn't have wheels, just colorful squares? Anyway, I found this gem today: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/143895 , also this https://ideas.lego.com/projects/143813 and this https://ideas.lego.com/projects/143668. Who doesn't want LEGO Portal 2? https://ideas.lego.com/projects/143596 Wait a minute...
June 23, 20168 yr Found this today: It's.. eh... entertaining. Anyone, please, make a fanart of this masterpiece! Oh btw, I'm very pleased with the new max part count limit rule. Edited June 23, 20168 yr by Exetrius
June 23, 20168 yr Found this today: It's.. eh... entertaining. Anyone, please, make a fanart of this masterpiece! I actually rather like that one; it's actually a fair representation of the highly-stylized cartoon character it depicts. It could benefit from some refinement, but actually not so much as you appear to suggest. I even decided to support it. Edited June 23, 20168 yr by Blondie-Wan
June 23, 20168 yr Author I actually rather like that one; it's actually a fair representation of the highly-stylized cartoon character it depicts. It could benefit from some refinement, but actually not so much as you appear to suggest. I even decided to support it. But what does it depict? I can't even tell if it's a living character or a machine. Trailcroc, half-trailer half-crocodile?
June 23, 20168 yr It's Perry the Platypus, a character from an animated TV series called Phineas and Ferb.
June 23, 20168 yr As much as I hate conspiracy theories after seeing the comments on few of these I have a faint suspicion that TLG is paying the commenters. There is just no other explanation out there.
June 23, 20168 yr As much as I hate conspiracy theories after seeing the comments on few of these I have a faint suspicion that TLG is paying the commenters. There is just no other explanation out there. There are definitely a group of people who positively comment and support no matter how bad it gets. I think they're just delusional not bribed though
June 23, 20168 yr As much as I hate conspiracy theories after seeing the comments on few of these I have a faint suspicion that TLG is paying the commenters. There is just no other explanation out there. With all due respect, that's completely ludicrous. TLG has nothing to gain from doing that, and even if they did, it would be about as cost-effective as trying to deposit money in a piggy bank by throwing coins at it from the top of a bridge, and hoping some of them went into the slot.

June 23, 20168 yr That looks nothing like Perry the Platypus! In the meantime, here are some more.... interesting.... things I've found recently: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/145288 Why? https://ideas.lego.com/projects/145222 and https://ideas.lego.com/projects/145228: Aren't there rules against theme suggestions? Not to mention the awful builds... https://ideas.lego.com/projects/144959 It's just an alternate model for a Creator set released 4 years ago... https://ideas.lego.com/projects/144798 What. The. Megabloks. Is. This.
June 23, 20168 yr https://ideas.lego.com/projects/145288 Why? Because people build those for some reason. It's not my thing but determining if it is the thing of enough people is kinda the point of ideas. One search found this and this and plenty more results. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/145222 and https://ideas.lego.com/projects/145228: Aren't there rules against theme suggestions? Not to mention the awful builds... Then why not ignore the project or give constructive comments to the creator. I thought this was a fun thread to point out some project which seemed like trolls. These two projects seem like honest attempts and not deserving of that status.
June 23, 20168 yr Author Then why not ignore the project or give constructive comments to the creator. What kind of constructive comment can you give to that thing? It sucks, & it's obvious why it does. If an adult didn't make that, then the father is to be blamed for not telling his kid "keep working on it, if it ends up not sucking, I'll post it for you". Also quite possible it's not all Lego in there. I don't recognize those plates/bricks with 1 hollow stud on them. Some studs don't have the logo either. I don't know, maybe Lego should make a new website which would be to Lego Ideas what the Paralympics are to the Olympics? And if there's something destructive here, it's the project's comments (also for his "Shrek's house" which, of course, looks like poo), telling him his stuff is great. The kid will fall from even higher when the truth will hit him, don't you think? It's because of false encouragements that some people end up in dumb reality shows & are made fun of. June 24, 20168 yr I'm beginning to loath this thread. It seems like the things posted here are generally increasing in quality as time goes on. Particularly, Perry The Platypus was instantly recognizable to me, even though I've never seen the show. Also, the LEGO Brick model was a very good rendition of a behemoth brick. It is a good model. Maybe not the most marketable, but a good model. Plenty of Marvel fans might want to put Ant-Man on it. That would be cool! That's just to name the first few I looked at from the last page. What appears to be happening with this thread, in my unprofessional and unsolicited opinion, is this: Members here want to be able to add to the "That sucks! Bla! Whee whee bloo!" discussion here, and if there aren't enough "terrible" projects to post, they post things that are even just slightly below average, so that everyone can laugh at their "stupidity" or whatever. Perry the Platypus is NOT a bad Idea. It's a build slightly above mediocrity, and obviously needs some work, but that's why it's on Ideas. The kid or adult is hopeful that people will want to see a Perry The Platypus set, designed professionally. I don't even know what I'm trying to say really, but this thread is making me upset because it just continues to walk on the borderline of bullying. Just a quick reminder: You are better than no one. I am better than no one. Skillsets vary, but no human is any better than any other human. I know I sound like Horton here, but it's just upsetting. The culture in the world. Why does it matter if someone submits a crappy Idea with a bunch of megabloks in it? What do we gain from saying how bad it is? Constructive criticism is crucial. This went on way long, and if you know me at all, I tend to veer away from seriousness, so this is weird to me, but seriously, does the vibe in this thread not sicken others besides Blondie-Wan and the few that have said it? LEGO is about encouraging creativity. Creativity thrives on encouragement. This is not encouraging. This thread is to creativity as deforestation is to trees. I am hereby protesting this thread. This does not mean I will not view it, rather that I will view it and continue to voice my sadness and concern for it. I don't mind a "Bad Ideas Ideas" thread in general. Parody ideas probably love seeing their creations end up here. But constantly putting down others creations (especially ones that are not actually bad) is disgusting. This is my serious post of the month. Have a good night, everyone.
June 24, 20168 yr What kind of constructive comment can you give to that thing? It sucks, & it's obvious why it does. Is it obvious? I must be missing something... The creator has taken an original route by developing his own theme has oppose to just using an existing one. And the model looks fine, I don't think its "suckish" in any way. Not everyone has the same level of skill as yourself when it comes to MOCs and that's fine. But calling other people's creations "trolls" simply because they aren't up to the same standards as yours is simply rude and actually quite childish. And if there's something destructive here, it's the project's comments (also for his "Shrek's house" which, of course, looks like poo), telling him his stuff is great. The kid will fall from even higher when the truth will hit him, don't you think? But at least comments like that will inspire the kid to make more creations. And I think the kid would fall from a huge height if he discovered some of the comments on this thread.
