Minifig Lecturer Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 I came across this nice find. Some impressive techniques used I think you'll agree. More pics Quote
Quarryman Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 It's a very impressive building, I'm looking forward to seeing it IRB (in real bricks ;-)). I guess the first opportunity to seeing live it will be at Legoworld Oslo in May, as it's made by Brikkelauget member Matija Puzar. Quote
Dragonator Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 That is amazing! *wub* I wonder if he is planing on doing an interior? I *wub* all the detail on the roof! How do you think he has done the windows? They look like 2x1 clear bricks with while plates in between. *wacko* ?? Quote
Imperial13 Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 I wish i could build like that... *wub* Quote
MicVash Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 I wish i could build like that... *wub* Rather, I wish I had the pieces to build like that! Quote
Quarryman Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 That is amazing! *wub* I wonder if he is planing on doing an interior? I'm pretty sure he's not ;-) (haven't asked though..) How do you think he has done the windows? They look like 2x1 clear bricks with while plates in between. *wacko* ?? If you look at this detail shot, you can see that is exactly what he has done. Or rather, clear 2x1 bricks with white plates in between, SNOTed on top of white tiles, and I guess they are then fastened to the wall on the sides somehow. Btw to quote Matija, fastening the windows was a "PITA" (strangely I couldn't find a definition of that acronym, but I'm sure most of you know what it means ;-)) Quote
El Bucanero Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 ..If you look at this detail shot.... Ouch, look at those cutted fences. :'-( Doesn't take away the beauty of this MOC though. *wub* Building it IRB most take a lot of patience, but first designing it in MLCAD. 8- Quote

How do you think he has done the windows? They look like 2x1 clear bricks with while plates in between. *wacko* ?? and now there's a couple of extra pics available, one that shows how the windows are made, and one that shows the internal structure (and coincidentally why there won't be an interior ;-)) And btw, estimated costs are 15k-20k NOK (about 1800-2500 EUR) (just asked Matija) Quote
MagPiesRUs Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 This is absolutely beautiful *wub* The columns, the tiles and 1x1 studs on the walls, not to mention the two towers and the domes at the top *wub* Brilliant. Quote
