MiloNelsiano Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 Having the most fertile lands in all of Historica, Avalonia provides all the guilds, at least to some extent, with food. As such, farms like this one in Osgard are common all over Avalonia, and of course Oros. It's good to have another build up! This should be the last build I need for my settlement of Osgard to be categorized as a Port Town. I think I'll continue building in Osgard, to flesh it out a bit more, but even if I meet the requirements for a city, I don't want it to reach that classification, as I don't picture Osgard as being big enough to be a city. Anyway, I hope you enjoy. Comments and criticism is more than welcome! Quote
-Carson Haupt- Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 (edited) This is really good! I love the barn below the house setup Edited May 11, 2016 by -Carson Haupt- Quote
Pvt13 Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 Nice! I would try and make the chimney open at the top. That way they won't be smoked out of the house when they start a fire :) Quote
Littleworlds Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 Lovely little farm The way you made the fence is just awesome. Looks like the real deal to me! Overall the building and the little landscaping around it harmonize very, very well. The only improvement I can suggest is to make the pig enclosure a bit more bumpy to emphasize them digging in the mud all day long. Quote
Kai NRG Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 A very nice build, I really like the enclosed section for the pigs. Great interior too! Quote
soccerkid6 Posted May 12, 2016 Posted May 12, 2016 The first thing that I noticed about this build is how well the completely tiled area works for a muddy surface in the pig pen Pretty house with the recessed windows, and barn area downstairs. I like the little milking stool and bucket details, and that you included a fireplace upstairs Quote
Graham Gidman Posted May 12, 2016 Posted May 12, 2016 Man, this is great. I love that pig pen's fence! Quote
LittleJohn Posted May 12, 2016 Posted May 12, 2016 Excellent build, Milo! The dark bley outlining the light bley looks great, and the olive grass, stool in the barn, fence for the pig pen, and horse stalls are all superb as well Quote
Niku Posted May 12, 2016 Posted May 12, 2016 I truly enjoyed this moc, civilian related check. Nice colors check Interesting techniques used check Overall appealling check. Well done. :) Quote

Full Plate Posted May 12, 2016 Posted May 12, 2016 Nice farm! The pig pen really looks like it is full of liquid mud The interior and the downstairs stable looks really great! Only nitpick for me is that the door looks a bit too modern for a medieval farm. Great job! Quote
ixypixy Posted May 12, 2016 Posted May 12, 2016 Great farm, it's full of so many nice details. I really like the pig pen, especially the fence. Quote
Captain Braunsfeld Posted May 12, 2016 Posted May 12, 2016 Very good - very realistic. How many brown tiles do you have left? Quote
Tezclatipoca Posted May 13, 2016 Posted May 13, 2016 Greatly done ! I particularly like the living room above the stables. That's very realistic. Good job ! Quote
Umbra-Manis Posted May 13, 2016 Posted May 13, 2016 I love the exposed timbers and the pig pen! Quote
Mpyromaxos Posted May 13, 2016 Posted May 13, 2016 Beautiful built! Very nice details in the pig pit and the stables, also loved the double bed and the fireplace! Quote
Nagol of Fortfield Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 This is too cute! I love the two colors of stone, the Tudor-ish second story, and especially the path. I'm pretty jelly of all your olive green plant stems Quote
MiloNelsiano Posted May 15, 2016 Author Posted May 15, 2016 That's for the kind comments everyone! Lovely little farm The way you made the fence is just awesome. Looks like the real deal to me! Overall the building and the little landscaping around it harmonize very, very well. The only improvement I can suggest is to make the pig enclosure a bit more bumpy to emphasize them digging in the mud all day long. I was going for a very runny kind of mud, but you might be right--a little more texturing might not have been a bad idea. Thanks for the suggestion! Nice farm! The pig pen really looks like it is full of liquid mud The interior and the downstairs stable looks really great! Only nitpick for me is that the door looks a bit too modern for a medieval farm. Great job! Fair enough! I tried doing a door with plates like I usually do, but I wanted it to look finished on both sides. Although I have done a brick built door from both sides in the past, it was when the wall was two studs thick. I haven't figured out a good way to do it with a one stud wall. That's why I settled for the prefab door, but you're right--it doesn't quite fit. Very good - very realistic. How many brown tiles do you have left? Glad you liked it. Well my dark brown supply was getting pretty low, but I still had a few reddish brown tiles left! Quote
kinggregus Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 Beautiful... This might be one of the most beautiful fence I have seen. The overall color scheme is great too. Quote
LegoEomer Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 Nice farm! I especially like the half timbered design, but the interior is superb too. Quote
Columbus019 Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 Wow, looks amazing without being overwhelmingly detailed. Columbus Quote
Gunman Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 I really like the tiled ground forthe pigs, it looks unexpectedly cool Quote
MiloNelsiano Posted May 19, 2016 Author Posted May 19, 2016 Thanks guys, I'm glad you liked it! Quote
mrcp6d Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 I'll echo the comments about the textural choices here, but I'll add that I think it may have played even better by sinking the tiles in the middle by a plate and using some studs to create a transition from the fence to the sloppy, wet, mud hole. Great MOC Milo! Quote
