Pvt13 Posted May 13, 2016 Posted May 13, 2016 (edited) My second MOC for AoM Shop, this time phase 2. First moc: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=132281 Bjorr and Edd have set up shop at the Ogelsvale market, across from the local well. This is the best spot at the market, a large open area where lots of people can see and smell the cheese. Bjorr: Here you go Grünn, our finest cheese, covered in a nice ash layer to keep it from going bad. Grünn the Grey: Thank you Bjorr, This will go well with Lugga's ruby red, such an elegant wine that is, have you had a taste? Bjorr: Not from her latest... Oargh! Those pesky children! Oh well, At least he's got a good taste, and I haven't been a saint when I was that age. Grünn the Grey: HA! I remember chasing you around when you stole those pies my wife Magdan made, speaking of which, she made you and Edd one. She's around here somewhere. In the meantime Magdan found Edd, which isn't that hard considering his height. Magdan: Here you Eddwold, for chopping those logs before last winter, we still have enough to last us till autumn. Edd: OH! is that blueberry pie? I should go and share this with Bjorr, he loves these! Magdan: He deserves it, if it wasn't for him, I wouldn't have any butter or milk to make them! Hope you guys like it! I had a good time building this. I'm doing my best to stay clear of the standard bases and build my own, I'm liking it so far :) Edited May 13, 2016 by Pvt13 Quote
LittleJohn Posted May 13, 2016 Posted May 13, 2016 Great way to make the blueberry pie! The shop is very nice too, I really like the green and yellow striped roof Quote
soccerkid6 Posted May 13, 2016 Posted May 13, 2016 I like your well design here, those 4x6 plates work well for the roof, and the looks ready to use with the bucket nearby The irregular base is also good, though section attached at an angle looks a bit rough. Some larger paper or cloth for the background would help the presentation by removing the seams between sheets. Good idea to include the Mitgardian colors on the cheese stand roof Quote

So everything is still a mess. And thanks LittleJohn and Captain Braunsfeld, I try to add our colors to all my Mitgardian mocs Quote
Garmadon Posted May 14, 2016 Posted May 14, 2016 Very nice build, Pvt! The cheese stand and well are quite neat, and the people running around fill out the scene very well! On the well, however, I think that having some 4x2 (or two 4x1) tiles or plates in the middle of each side on the bottom would make the exterior look a bit more rounded and better - but I do really like how you used the arches inside! Keep it up! Quote
Pvt13 Posted May 14, 2016 Author Posted May 14, 2016 Thanks garmadon! I build the well some time ago and put it aside because I really liked it. I actually had the idea to put on some tiles, but at the time I was building a rather large town. Then I thought I'd be better off building something smaller and more detailed and joined Eurobricks :) Seeing as the well would fit so well in moc I just stuck it in there and forgot about it haha. Need to take my time and really finish a moc before posting. It's quite addictive putting something online for others to see and comment on :) Quote
