Karalora Posted October 23, 2020 Posted October 23, 2020 OMG I LOVE HER She reminds me of my friend's daughter, the year she wanted to be a bat for Halloween so I made her costume. Quote
DarrellBricker Posted October 23, 2020 Posted October 23, 2020 Very cute! I love that you went with a white face, so she can fit in with the Spider Suit Boy, Spooky Girl, and Spooky Boy. Quote

Nerd-with-a-Pencil Posted October 24, 2020 Posted October 24, 2020 Another great interpretation of Baron Samedi! It's good to see pantheons besides Greek get represented in CMFs for a change. Quote
Caleb884488 Posted October 24, 2020 Posted October 24, 2020 I’m getting princess and the frog vibes, also baron von baron vibes too Quote
ToaIruini Posted October 24, 2020 Posted October 24, 2020 The baby head on the bar is perfect. Great minifigure! Quote

LegoGuy03 Posted October 24, 2020 Posted October 24, 2020 Really neat thing with this Minifigure is that I learned something new with this! I never heard of Baron Samedi until now and I think it’s great that I’m introduced to all these characters from different cultures like with Baba Yaga. :) Quote
Robert8 Posted October 24, 2020 Author Posted October 24, 2020 (edited) 8 hours ago, Digger of Bricks said: Actually, how does he differ from that previous design? Entirely different inspirations between the two? Baron is inspired by Baron Samedi, a supernatural being from Voodoo lore. He pretty much jumps between the realm of the dead and the realm of the living. You can summon him to ask for advice and make deals. But they usually backfire at you. He his that kind of character... Spoiler The Voodoo Doctor from the second "character enclyclopedia" is a human being with a fancy outfit to perform rituals. Similar to Doctor Facilier from Princess and the Frog Edited October 24, 2020 by Robert8 Quote
Karalora Posted October 24, 2020 Posted October 24, 2020 (edited) The Voodoo Doctor is merely dressing up for effect. The Baron is the real deal. Edited October 24, 2020 by Karalora Quote

Yooha Posted October 25, 2020 Posted October 25, 2020 The reflection in the mirror is not a mirrorred image. Is it on purpose? Quote

In some versions Bloody Mary cames out of the mirror. So, I went with that. And having the mirrored image looked...... very weird. I don't know exactly why Quote
Nerd-with-a-Pencil Posted October 25, 2020 Posted October 25, 2020 As soon as I saw your other Japanese ghost I’ve been hoping for one of these! I know it’s meant to be a mirror, but I feel like I’d build that tile into a tv Quote
DarrellBricker Posted October 25, 2020 Posted October 25, 2020 Oh my, she's spectacular! And I love the Baron as well. This whole set has been pure win! I WISH WISH WISH Lego would buy your designs from you and make these real. Sad to think there's only a handful of these left to look forward to this year ... Quote
