Lucarex Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 Love them all Robert, with the standout exception of the bullfighter (*cough* animal cruelty). Jeez, really? The narwhal girl is a painful reminder of the one TLNM shark army warrior we never got. As for the “Olympian warrior” (I don’t think Nike and Hermes will sue 😄) you should think about doing a Myths & Legends series. I still want that Nessie of yours!!! Quote
Karalora Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 What a delightful series! Some of the highlights IMO: Narwhal Girl! Now there's an offbeat animal costume! Magician Girl! Here's one I'm surprised LEGO hasn't actually produced. The card tiles have all sorts of potential uses, and I LOVE her matching cape! Olympian Messenger! Keeping the Greek mythology theme rolling, good good! Treasure Hunter! That goblet is absolutely to die for! Color Festival Boy! What a surprise! Holi is one of those festivals I would love to participate in sometime... Father Time! AND Baby New Year! It's two, two, TWO holiday archetypes in one! Chocolate Girl! Why does pink work so well with chocolate brown? (Also: it me) Quote
Aurore Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 They're so great! The Teutonic Knight is my instant favourite. Then, of course, Indiana Jane and the Centaur. Quote
Lion King Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 (edited) I love this series! Magician Girl, Narwhal Girl, Shepherdess, Chocolate Girl, Psychologist, Evil Centuar, Teutonic Knight, Olympian Messnger, and Treasure Hunter are so perfect for collect if they are real! Magician Girl reminds me a bit of the character from Ace Attorney video game, even her outfit is different from that character’s. I really like her hat! Narwhal Girl, oh my gosh, what an adorable costume! Chocolate Girl reminds me of Hershey chocolate bar (in fact, I live close to Hershey, Pennsylvania) like 1 hr and 20 mins. Sooo sweet! Psycholgoist is perfect because he has some cool accessory. I need these accessory and the minifigure to have session with several minifigures! Evil Centuar is so wicked but cool! I love his helmet. Teutonic Knight is really cool to see colors and his helmet! Shepherdess is really adorable with her crook and sheep. I hope lego could shepherdess figure one day because i love her and that sheep! Treasure Hunter is perfect for a would-be revived Adventure theme! Olympian Messenger is the one I am dying for because he has winged staff and hat. What perfect. Robert8, you did an awesome job! Keep it up! :) Edited April 1, 2021 by DBlegonerd7 Quote
ToaIruini Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 Wow, another great series! It always surprises me your vast knowledge of stories and pop culture from all times and places. My favorites are Treasure Girl, Magician, Monk, UFOolgist, Matador, and Holi Boy. The Treasure Girl is great counterpart to the earlier treasure hunter and reminds me of Lara Croft from Tomb Raider. The Magician Girl is a great take on an existing archetype and the symbols on the cape is a great detail along with the new hat. The Evil Centuar, UFOlogist, Hermes, Monk, and Teutonic Knight are all well made and creative figures that are a lot of fun. Holi Boy is a fun inclusion and it looks like a lot of work to make. The Stewardess and Matador also perfectly capture the cmf charm (I especially like the matador as I know they will never make one). The figures I missed I also like - I can’t imagine disliking any of your work. If all the costumed figures came with torso printing, alternate hair, and accessories, I wouldn’t mind them so much! Thank you for continuing to spoil us with your magnificent drawings and imagination Quote
caiman0637 Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 What a wonderful series, I wish it were real. The stewardess is my favorite, but Father Time is genius! The only one I can't come to appreciate is Warmonger. Seems a bit, er, violent for LEGO. But of course, this is coming from somebody who doesn't mind the Great Brick War at all. All in all, great series! I look forward to seeing more of your work! Quote
LegoGuy03 Posted April 1, 2021 Posted April 1, 2021 Loved how this one came out! Favorites have to be the Psychologist, Kung Fu Master, Bullfighter, Magician Girl, and Ufologist! Quote

Yes! 4 hours ago, Karalora said: Seems more like a Kratos expy to me, based on the skin tone under the armor. It is meant to be Ares though. I gave him that skin tone to make him look more like a god. Ares is portrayed as a spartan because only spartans worshiped him, so the colors are meant to make him look like a glorified spartan. Also, the red comes from Marsthing from Roman mythology. I gave that skin color to deities perceived as "evil" like Hades, Eris and Ares to tell them apart from the good ones, like Poseidon, Athena, Hermes and the upcoming Zeus 15 hours ago, Eggyslav said: So we got two greek gods (Hermes and Ares), AND a Centaur (Propably Nessos, who was responsible for Heracles' death)? Nice! I didn't have anyone in mind for the Evil Centaur. But yeah, this series turned out kind of heavy on greek mythology. Next one will a have one but from Egyptian mythology On 4/1/2021 at 1:15 PM, ToaIruini said: Holi Boy is a fun inclusion and it looks like a lot of work to make. ToaIruini Posted April 3, 2021 Posted April 3, 2021 @Robert8 I certainly look forward to your rendition of Zeus and a new Egyptian figure! I should have noticed the Ace Attorney reference earlier Quote

It's modern people who assume that because he's the god of the Underworld, he must be analogous to the Devil. Ares and Eris are legit jerks, however. Quote
Yooha Posted April 3, 2021 Posted April 3, 2021 Oh, I don't like the matador. :( The series is great as ever, the centaur and Hermes are my favourite. Quote
zoth33 Posted April 3, 2021 Posted April 3, 2021 Very nice series. My favorites are the knight, centaur, and the warmonger.
