VintageLegoEra Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 (edited) Welcome Again with another Amazing Classic Castle Set Review: The Lego 6035 Castle Guard. ...... Theme: Castle Sub-Theme: Black Falcon Knights Or Black Knight When Talking about this set, i saw in may discussions and site whether this set is under The Black Falcon Theme or The Black Knight Theme. Well, I came to these 2 Conclusions: 1)- It could be That The Black Won the war and took over the Boat as a Trophy. 2)- Or The Black Knight Warriors Stole the Shield and Running to their Base. What Ever you like! :). Since i am a Black Falcon Fan, then i will consider the 1st probability. This Set was Released in 1990. It has 56 Pieces and 2 Minifigures. This Set has some Special Elements which I believe they are valuable : 1)- The Yellow Falcon Shield to me is very Special and i love it so much. ( one of the Reason to buy this set is because of the Shield ) 2)- If we consider these 2 Warriors are from the Falcon's Army, then these Chain Dressing Style are so unique as these warriors will be the only Falcon Warriors with these Chain Dressings. So Special and Rare!.. 3)- The Part (Black Brick, Modified 1 x 4 x 2 Center Stud Top) is a Unique One ( Another Reason to have this Set ) Overall, Small Set but so Beautiful with these Unique Elements! :) I will leave you with the Photos! -The Set: -The Minifigures and Gears: -The Boat: - Final Look With The Minifigures: Overall : - Nothing Special about the set. Just these unique parts are gining the set a strong feeling. - It lacks weapons at lease 1 Sword/Spear? My Score: 8.5/10 Enjoy! Edited May 17, 2016 by VintageLegoEra Quote
Rider Raider Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 Nice review! I agree it should have had a sword/spear, but what's done is done! The set is pretty good in my opinion. Quote

Abaddon127 Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 Just outta curiousity, how much was this set when it was first released? Quote
TheLegoDr Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 ^per Brickset, $4.50. A fun little set. I liked all of the little sets they used to do back then. Granted, I liked the heraldry back then more too. (It was my golden age) Interesting review. Quote
LittleJohn Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 For the original retail price of this, I quite likely would have picked up a few just for the figs. Great review Quote

Lukandros Posted January 27, 2021 Posted January 27, 2021 Nice review! I am considering buy one for my LEGO Castle Classic collection. Although they have a Black Falcon’s shield the boat construction is certainly a Black Knight’s boat... similar as the 1547 and Sea Serpent... now the soldiers... well I think they are Black Knights because they look like the food soldiers in the Black Monarch’s Castle and other Black Knight’s sets... so I think this is a Black Knight’s set... also I found this list: https://brickset.com/sets/theme-Castle/subtheme-Black-Knights But also this guys could be Black Falcon in disguise recovering one of their previous rare yellow shields! GalacticTremor Posted February 1, 2021 Posted February 1, 2021 Another confusing set from Lego. My take on this is that it is a black Knight set. The guy with the shield is a spy and he has captured the boat and is forcing another guy to row him back home where he will keep the treasure in the barrel and report back to the black falcons. Quote
