December 20, 200717 yr Found this at Brickbitz;http://brickbitz.co.uk/7732.aspx Post plane review!! Omg I want this plane so very bad!!! I am a huge collector of planes and helicopters (love small planes). I've tried looking for them at my local TRU and LEGO store but found none, how this guy got this one so early I have no idea X_X! Has anybody else gotten this set or does this guy work for LEGO x_x?! :'-(
December 20, 200717 yr I think this has already been posted. Excuse me if I'm wrong.~Peace __________ I don't think it has archenemy, I think that was me mentioning it in the holiday house thread :-$ That said, I love this little set, a real beauty! *wub* Glad to see we were wrong in assuming that the top couldn't open too. Too bad about the mail being just a sticker, but atleast we get that awesome mailman torso! :'-) And the areoplane itself is very nice, great to see TLC continuing 4-wide planes. Nothing to Say, but Batbrick Away! >:-)
December 20, 200717 yr Oh, my bad. :-$ It's probably just because I saw that a bit before, I've been constantly checking back to brickbitz' site to see if there's anything new. :-P Anyway, this looks like a nice set, this style of plane I've always thought to be pretty cool. But stickers for the package? *n* Oh well, we'll get used to it! ~Peace
December 20, 200717 yr This review was on the site yesterday.....i might get 1 but i dont realy have a use for one.
December 20, 200717 yr Hmmm, i'm not really taken by this set. Not as good as i thought.. Nice review though :)

X-D ) you've been checking constantly to see if he has any new castle sets! :-D Yes, the stickers are a bummer, stuff like Exo-Force having stickers is good, but not this *n* Overall though, an awesome little set. ____________ This review was on the site yesterday.....i might get 1 but i dont realy have a use for one. ____________ I don't get it though, you have the current policestation, and want two of the new policestastions, as well as multiples of police cars and such, but don't have use for a postal plane? :-D Your city's economy must be on the edge with all that police forces :-P Nothing to Say, but Batbrick Away! >:-)

X-D Who needs a post man when you can have a police man? 8-| LOL :-P i will only get the post car.i only have 2 civilian cars in my city the rest are Police.....or Fire and Rescue... yea theres like 1-2 police for every other minifig i have....so any riots will quickly be put out with the population being out-numbered (and more Police coming next year for my city!!) whoops i went abit off-topic...... X-O

December 20, 200717 yr What a cute little plane...that I probably won't buy! :-D I don't have room for an airport and I just bought the air ambulance set. I suppose though it does depend on price. X-D I wonder why Brickbitz is so sure that the guy isn't a pilot... 8-| Glad to see we were wrong in assuming that the top couldn't open too. Well I never assumed that!

X-D I wonder why Brickbitz is so sure that the guy isn't a pilot... 8-| Well I never assumed that! ____________ You could always do what I do and hang it from the roof ;-) I have my giant passenger plane, fafnir dragon, ofnir dragon and air ambulance all above my head, and it works fine! Nothing to Say, but Batbrick Away! >:-)
December 20, 200717 yr This set is okay judging by those pictures. The lack of pilot is the biggest concern, but spare pilot figs can't be too hard to find. I know I have one myself from an unbuilt airplane I have. This set will look better when I buy at least two to lengthen it. Three sets might require larger wings and possibly switching to jets, so two will be a good size without adding extra pieces.
December 20, 200717 yr I have the airport + passenger plane and it's taking up a huge amount of space 8-| but I still love it (gotta have one big plane). But these types of small planes are my favorite :'-) . I hope it can fit in two people though. I agree with Sinner, I never thought that he wasn't a pilot. How many owners of small private planes actually wear a suit and tie when they fly 8- Edited December 20, 200717 yr by legobear
December 20, 200717 yr This would be an awesome small private plane for some of the smaller EN nations leaders
December 20, 200717 yr I wonder why Brickbitz is so sure that the guy isn't a pilot... 8-| Well I suppose I just assumed that as the guy loading the plane he wouldn't being flying it. I guess with a small LEGO courier business , it could be a one man operation :-)
December 20, 200717 yr Neat. I'm gonna buy at least one of these, and three of the post car. Why three, you ask? well, I plan on using the stickers from that set and maybe some of the pieces to build a post office! (Why did lego make a post theme without a post office set???) >:-(
December 20, 200717 yr Thanks for the review. U.S. Shop@Home has the set listed for $14.99. A lot less attractive to me now. (And yes, before any of my European friends start talking exchange rates, I'll admit I'm spoiled by U.S. pricing) :-)
December 21, 200717 yr (Why did lego make a post theme without a post office set???) >:-( Because it usually takes some time before Lego really understand what Afols and sometimes also children really wants. Look at the battle packs, they're not only populair by Afols, or the Creator houses, or the Cafe-corner and followers. I hope I don't offend anyone with this post, but this is also with many other organizations, so I think it's characteristic for great organizations.
January 19, 200817 yr I'd like to add my review, if that's okay? 7732 - Air Mail My local TRU had one copy of 7732 out on the shelves today and I, being the child of the 80s that I am, couldn't resist picking up this wonderful throwback to the always-awesome Turbo Prop. ;) (One curious oddity that had me chuckling: there are two bags for this set. One is unmarked, and the other is marked as bag #9. Hmm...) Gallery (once moderated) --------------------------------------------- Parts: 8/10 If you've ever had the pleasure of building any LEGO planes in the past twenty years before they started juniorizing them with giant one-piece hulls, you should know what to expect here: all the usual plates, slopes, wedges, wings, and wheels are accounted for. LEGO hasn't much updated their building technique for small airplane models over the years but everything this time around does manage to look much smoother and sleeker. More recent pieces include cheese wedges and the smooth 3-stud long slopes that make up the engines. Minifigs: 5/10 If I recall correctly, the prototype images for this set wafting around online a few months back had a minifig with this torso. Although the torso it comes with is just fine and fits in nicely with the mail theme, to be honest I would've much preferred the classic space jacket. I'm getting tired of the same three City faces, though; I'd almost prefer LEGO to go back to classic smilies than getting yet another sunglassed, grimaced, or stubbled Townie face. Detail: 10/10 I think this set is perfectly done. It's got a great color scheme that's carried through in the main body's stripes and contrasted against the dark bley undercarriage. The plane's body is classic LEGO design with some nice revisions to the engines to make it look a bit sleeker. All in all, it looks like a small prop plane without having to resort to flick-fire missiles, Technic pieces out the wazoo, or overly-<insert that tiresome argument> building techniques. I chose not to apply the stickers so it doesn't necessarily have to be a mail plane, but (thanksfully) for those who choose to there aren't many to apply. Playability: 10/10 If you like swooshing your sets around the house, run out and get this one one now. I've been vroom-vrooming it all over the place and am loving every minute of it. Apart from the plane, there's also a hand dolley with a "package" that can be loaded into the plane. The package isn't all that exciting if you don't apply the sticker, but it's something. Price to parts: 5/10 I'm not sure whether LEGO or TRU is to blame for this one, but this set's MSRP of $15 USD is a little silly: when you're done building it, expect some level of buyer's remorse. Despite it being an awesome, swooshably wonderful set, it feels like it should've been more at a $9 pricepoint. I don't think I've ever consciously figured out a price-to-pieces ratio before and usually go on gut feeling; this one just feels overpriced. Availability: 5/10 I put this one as a 5 because it's still so new to retail. OVERALL RATING: 8/10 Apart from the high price and a rather bland minifig, I absolutely love it. This would make a great starter set for someone just getting into LEGO, a real-world airplane enthusiast who wants something fun to swoosh around at work, or of course a LEGO Town fan. I'd go so far as to say that this is the kind of set you'd probably never take apart for parts, simply because it's small enough to be unobtrusive while at the same time ridiculously fun enough to fly around the house for a good long while. --------------------------------------------- Ratings (on a scale of 1 to 10): Parts: 8/10 Minifigs: 5/10 Detail: 10/10 Playability: 10/10 Price to parts: 5/10 Availability: 5/10 OVERALL RATING: 8/10 m19
