jonfett Posted May 2, 2005 Posted May 2, 2005 Yeah, but some people are prepared to pay that much for MISB and discontinued sets. I am so glad that I snatched a Naboo Fighter and AAT, both complete, for
eDeevo Posted May 2, 2005 Posted May 2, 2005 dang consumer demand... I wonder if the guy who wins it will look back and go "dang, I really didn't want to spend that much"... ahh, the life of the obsessive MISB collectors, it can be an expensive one... :-D
Sarg_Kulo Posted May 2, 2005 Author Posted May 2, 2005 Man I still get shocked every time I click the link. And the starting price was 0.99 >-|
snefroe Posted May 2, 2005 Posted May 2, 2005 the bricklink price for a new set is almost 100$ so this ebay set is a bargain...
jonfett Posted May 2, 2005 Posted May 2, 2005 the bricklink price for a new set is almost 100$ so this ebay set is a bargain... Well no, not really. The current price of the auction is
Orlego Posted May 2, 2005 Posted May 2, 2005 I don't know how any true collectors would be a MISB collector. I look at these people as future resellers. All the true Lego collectors that I know (this site included) collects sets to build and display or for parts, including myself. I can't wait to open each set that I get. I have two train sheds and some other sets that are unopen because they are part of my train display and I have no more room to build and keep them. It is killing me!!! I'm also about to open Apo's sets if he does not claim them soon... DAMN YOU APO!!!... Ok, better now ;) ;)
eDeevo Posted May 2, 2005 Posted May 2, 2005 Much like 'Orlego', I always release my LEGO from their cardboard & plastic baggie prisons... I can't bear the thought of keeping any MISB... They are a toy to be built, displayed, &/or for parts... forever... Life is Good.
Governor Mister Phes Posted May 2, 2005 Governor Posted May 2, 2005 I can't bear the thought of opening any MISB sets... There's usually sufficient sets already opened so its just a matter of finding them, butthere's only a limited amount of these MISB sets left in the world. Once they're gone that's it... That's what makes owning them special.
