Kaitan Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 Hello everyone, I've been away from Lego and EB for a while, I got a bit lego'd out and decided to have a rest from it (for about a year! ) Moving house also had something to do with it...but now I'm back! Those of you who know me know I used to concentrate on mainly Star Wars builds , but I felt like a change of genre so I present to you a fantasy/historic house! I found it a bit of a challenge, mainly because I wasn't working from a preset design as I would with most Star Wars stuff, but once I relaxed into it and did a bit of research, I kinda just went with the flow, and the result you can see below. I really like the fantasy genre (almost as much as Sci-Fi) so I think I'll be doing a lot more builds like this in the future. I might return to Star Wars if I find a subject to really get my bricks into :)) All constructive criticism gladly received :) Kaitan Fantasy House 1 by Kaitan Tylerguy, on Flickr Fantasy House 2 by Kaitan Tylerguy, on Flickr Fantasy House 3 by Kaitan Tylerguy, on Flickr Fantasy House 4 by Kaitan Tylerguy, on Flickr Fantasy House 5 by Kaitan Tylerguy, on Flickr Fantasy House 6 by Kaitan Tylerguy, on Flickr Quote
LittleJohn Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 An excellent house! The stone texture is fabulous and I really like the 1x2 tile roof The supports for the balcony are great as well Quote
azog Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 I like it! The stone has an old feeling to I same with the wood! The balcony is fantastic! Good job! Quote
soccerkid6 Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 Lovely house with an attractive layout and good balance of detailing all around The stonework and roof are highlights for me, though staircase and raised porch are also great Quote
Ed9217 Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 Nice work, very clean and precise yet Still has the medeval feel going for it, good work. I especially like how the chimney stack cuts through the roof. Quote
Kaitan Posted May 23, 2016 Author Posted May 23, 2016 Just realised I didn't add [MOC] in the title, if an admin could do that for me I'd be grateful. Sorry I'm out of practice with forum ettiquette :( Quote
TitusV Posted May 31, 2016 Posted May 31, 2016 Awesome build, with soms great techniques. My favoured one is the roof Quote
Exetrius Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 Great build, looks neat from all angles! The roofing is very nice indeed and the staircase leading up to the balcony and entrance just gives it that extra flair. I'm also a fan of the walls, the slight angles add to the realism. Well done, I hope to see you once in a while with a fantasy build! Quote
