May 28, 20168 yr Author Scarst does not have the ability to create a PM, PM me the list of people you want on the PM and then I just won't read it.
May 29, 20168 yr Author A slight change to battle mechanics to make this more than just pushing pieces back: Attack: to attack, you declare an attack on a hex that is owned by anybody other than you, as long as you have an army adjacent to that space. An attack is resolved by comparing the two ranks. A tie goes to the defender. The winner holds the hex, the loses retreats and is reduced in rank, or is destroyed. If there is no open space for the loser to retreat to, the army is captured and taken off the board. A unit is reduced one rank when it loses a battle unless the attacke is twice as strong as the defense, in this case, the defending army is reduced to half of its total rank, rounded up. An army may only attack or move once per turn, not both. IE: A rank 6 attacks a rank 5, the rank 5 retreats and is reduced to a rank 4. OR a rank 8 army attacks a rank 4 army, the rank 4 army retreats and is reduced to a rank 2 army.
May 29, 20168 yr Well that is a good new rule. But Didn't you think to reduce the strenght of the attacker too ? I mean, many little armies could surround a big one and manage to destroy it just little by little... In this rule I see overpowered titanic armies rolling over the others ! Well, that was not my first point when I wrote... I wanted to know what is the rule when we lose men ? Are they lost, will they return on their initial ship and the ship is returning in MRCA ? if yes, is the ship allowed to come back later on the battle or not ? Are the hexes of a player lost when he retreats ? (for example, I lose my 5men from the Class 0 ship La Espada I sent, Am I losing every hex I hold ? And what La Espada is allowed to do ? Can I get her back on the MRCA or not ? And can I be part of the battle if someone is calling me back ? And Could I use La Espada again in this battle ?) I know this is a lot more questions than I expected. By the way, Ska, do you want our position by PM or in this thread ?
May 30, 20168 yr Sorry, been a bit busy over the weekend. Will submit my starting position in a bit. Don't kick me off :p
May 30, 20168 yr Author You lose the position when you retreat. Yes, the attacker would technically dwindle down if it attacked a position that was higher than it (or surprise higher AKA defender supported by an ally.) Your men are removed from the board, and I think technically you could remove a ship after its 20 men were killed/captured. Then, yes, you could be invited back.
June 1, 20168 yr Did the first turn start Monday at 12:01 am or does it wait until after all the landings are tabulated?
June 1, 20168 yr The first time I red, I tought I saw something like: If the attack is supported by a MOC, the rank of the attcker will have a +1 But now, I can't find that anymore. Did I just imagine it or not?

Did I just imagine it or not? Do you mean this? Mocing an attack or a defense. If you are conducting an attack, and MOC the attack or a defense, you gain 1 rank for that army. (one moc per army)

June 2, 20168 yr Could someone tell me who the Sea Rats are fighting for? Not who, but what: surely for their purses What does the letters on the player armies reflect? = armies' owners, e.g. M = Maxim, P = Phred
June 2, 20168 yr We see Mardier has already placed a Rank 4 unit, so Mardier moves first? I have the same remark here. Is Mardier moving first ? And do we know who is who and who is fighting for who ?
June 2, 20168 yr We see Mardier has already placed a Rank 4 unit, so Mardier moves first? That should be L'Olius' army.
June 2, 20168 yr Correct. Nobody has moved yet. I thought L'Olius army was already counted in the 2 blocks of 6 rank armies. On the other hand, if the moves are simultaneous, Ska, how can you garantee you moved without knowing our player moves if we have to indicate to you our move by PM ?
June 2, 20168 yr Author I am actually not moving Mardier anymore, I have a wargaming non-lego friend who does it. I think that is best, he has no personal attachments to the game and his objective is to win. I might still MOC some L'Olius stuff, but won't be making the decisions of where that team goes and does.
June 2, 20168 yr Ah ok ! Good to know ! I am happy to see you planed an independent player. Too bad you're not playing yourself...
June 6, 20168 yr I am asking me something about troops. I understand we can recruit troops on Prio's island but not necessarily with a ship, isn't it ? But, concerning troops in a ship, do they count as a crew bonus ? and so, are counted in the ship strenght formula. Or do they count out of the ship ? and are out ship crew stat.
June 6, 20168 yr I understand we can recruit troops on Prio's island but not necessarily with a ship, isn't it ? Correct. You can recruit up to 90 additional soldiers per turn - which is a full battalion (raising costs 220DB, upkeep 54DB). Just buy them using the Troop Raising Form, then 'teleport' them to Prio via the Troop Placement Form. But, concerning troops in a ship, do they count as a crew bonus ? and so, are counted in the ship strenght formula. Or do they count out of the ship ? and are out ship crew stat. Sending a ship will block that ship, sort of 'park' it somewhere off the island (rendering it inactive, so no blockade or sea-battle off the coast), and have the crew fight as troops: 10 * class level + 5 men per Crew level. A class 4A, for example, would bring you 55 soldiers. Basic idea: recruiting soldiers will cost you DB for raising and upkeep, but keep your ships available, sending ships will provide soldiers for free, but will inactivate your ships for the time of the conflict. I assume all troops/ships' crews will be available again once the fight is over - so technically nobody dies(?)
